I'm really looking forward to FIFA, but can't watch the stream because there's one particular guy who is very annoying. In any case, what little I played today at BB was great fun.

From what I've read, NFS and Madden's reviews come out tomorrow mid to late morning.

saw some videos on Madden next gen and Its not much of a jump. The coaches look more detailed, but the players look weird. Even Nance and Simms head graphics seem like their missing a large piece of scalp bone on their head. Cutler just doesn't look right either. The gameplay and presentation looked exactly the same from this gen from the video I saw. This really sucks. I didn't expect much from Madden next gen but I expected something. So far it seems like they haven't really delivered anything advanced.

Yeah I found a few demo playthrough sessions on IGN where the guy said the same thing. It looks pretty damn cool. Maybe it'll make me forget about Forza. LOL.

I'm still debating whether to pick up NFS or Forza right away. I got three games coming already and I think that's enough to get started.

Mine still hasn't shipped but it is preparing to ship.. usually Amazon stuff arrives at my house the next day....

I sold my Xbox one last night for 685, after all the fees I should clear enough to basically get my PS4 for half price....

Waiting on a review for Madden, from what everyone is saying here, I prob won't like it and I will return it for something else.. like maybe one of the kid friendlier launch titles....


I am getting excited now, although I will still sell my PS4 if someone on craigslist contacts me.. but NBA 2K looks great from what I have seen...

Kind of a drag to hear that the Madden streams don't show a jump in graphics quality but the PS4/X1 versions are going to be the best versions of Madden since they don't make them for the PC (though who knows, now that the consoles are using x86 chips, maybe it would be easier to release and maintain PC versions).

And if you want to play a football game, you have nowhere else to turn to.

Well if the gameplay is as bad as the last Madden I played -- Madden 12 -- then I guess turn to FIFA and NBA 2K.

Consoles are the main platform for sports games, since releases on the PC and mobile devices are more limited.

Hearing now that the reviews for NFS and Madden come out at 12:01 tonight/morning. On Game Informer, they seeemed enthusiastic about the game, but didn't necessarily go as far to say it looked next gen, but still looked quite good. In any case, I think you'll really like the new L2/R2 buttons for racing games.

Just picked up an extra controller from BB and there was quite a line outside...maybe 20 deep for guys who didn't pre-order I suppose. Thankfully it's 75 and sunny on this fine November day, so it's not too rough on em. LOL.

You're right...I like the way the DS4 feels...the triggers are really nice. It's MUUUUCH better than the previous controller(s). Looking forward to cracking open these SIX (yes, SIX) games I have for tomorrow. Rentals of Fifa and Madden, and I picked up AC4, NBA 2k14, NFS Rivals and BF4 myself. Gonna be a good weekend.

You are set Db! I was going back and forth between AC and BF4. Both games look great, but I decided on AC. If I hear some great things about the multi-player (64 players able to play at one time......wow), then I might have to get that game eventually. Hoping Redbox gets some games in early next week as I think if I went with Gamefly now, I'm sure it'd be a pretty long wait on most games.

Stayed up way too late last night (12:15 watching tv), and I'm feeling it right now. Still planning on going at midnight to BB, but it's going to be rough. I got an email that they'll start ringing people out starting at 10, but can't leave with the system until 12:01. I really don't want to have to sit around BB for almost two hours. Maybe I'll nap on their plush surround sound TV recliners.

Yep, I bought AC4 and Madden already, and I know I'll pick up NBA tonight, and probably Killzone. I was thinking of BF4 or Ghosts, not sure which. I am really not sold on NFS, as the last one stunk to high heaven IMO. I know the vast majority of people loved it, but I absolutely hated it. I'm actually thinking of LEGO Marvel or DC Universe Online as another one.

This is all a week before Ryse, Dead Rising 3, and Forza hit my XB1. Going to be a crazy holiday season, and I won't be buying crap for a long while after. I bought a Vita yesterday too for the remote play stuff, so I'm interested in how that all works out. It was just a bonus that I grabbed AC Liberation for pennies and Uncharted is free for PS+ users.

I've got a buddy coming over tonight for an all-nighter, and he's going to play AC4 for the first time on my 360 right next to the the PS4 on an identical TV so I can get a feel for the differences graphically. Then we'll do the same with Madden, probably.

Got some great news that out of town guests will be crashing in my basement /TV room tomorrow night... Meaning no gaming for me. This has forced me into doing the midnight pickup tonight so that I can at least game a little before Sunday! Add that to my 9 month old daughter who is sick and will surely require her daddy at some point tonight, and I'm looking at a rough day at work tomorrow!

Anyways.. I picked up an extra controller and the ps camera today, so just need to grab the console and nba. Geeks indeed
