Lets not throw the towel in yet at Scottsdale. Hogz could easily throw up a very low number to put the pressure on in the final round.
Thanks....I never count HOGZ out of any tournament as he is just as capable as anyone of posting a VERY low score or 5.....

No joke, just had my first freeze!!! I was playing the daily at Whistling Straits, and had a -8 after 17.... where it froze! After 17 holes???? Really????

Oh well, I'm part of the club now. :D

Scottsdale is playing very weirdly for me in this tournament. I putted relatively badly in the first round myself. I usually put up some low numbers at Scottsdale, but I'm having trouble with uncontrolled fades and missing fairways to the right in rounds 2 and 3. It shows up in my feedback meter so I know it's me. I had thirteen one putt greens in today's round at Scottsdale, but three 3-putts. I wound up with four bogeys, yet still managed a 6 under round.

Yes, this will be fun to watch from the clubhouse. My goal is to try to break -25, but that will mean a 9 under, or better round tomorrow. You guys are ripping Scottsdale a new one though!

That's got to be terribly unnerving! Does it freeze on you after the golfer is displayed on the tee, or during the loading of the hole? My one live tournament round freeze occured on me after my golfer was displayed.

Guys, I'd like to get some feedback on the idea of playing Monday's Daily at Atlanta Athletic Club. It's a DLC, but I figured everyone should have enough game coins now to at least rent it for one round. I think you can get three rounds for 12,000 coins, where 1 round is 6,000. If we play it once, I'd make sure we played it three times over the next 65 days so everyone could get their coins worth out of it.

I bought the 11 course pack outright, so it's not an issue for me, but I know a good many are interested in dropping hard cash on DLC's. I just wanted to get your thoughts on how to expand our variety a little bit.

Nah, keyboards are great from tee shots to full approach shots, but suck for pitching chipping and putting.... I love what the one group of primarily amateur difficulty level players have done with naming their club "Keyboarding Boosters". Even funnier that they've got some people biting it as an MO hook, line, and sinker. :o

Never even heard of using keyboards with tiger on the 360, wield.

Had another freeze today on an Xbox live daily tourney. It's getting worse every time I turn it on

Me neither, but I guess some people will go to extremes to get better scores and improve their gameplay.

John, I am OK with Atlanta too.

Well, gave the ole college try. Was down 3 with 3 holes to go and lipped out each birdie putt. Finished the 3rd round at -35 under. Think I will go ahead and finish it out.

The birdie putts weren't falling thru the first 9, but I got it going a little on the second 9. Finished -10 for the round and am at 45 under for the tourney. Maybe I can make you sweat a little bit Ortho, but you should be fine. You put up some awesome rounds.

Wow, looks like I could probably skip the final round as I am so far behind....but I will play because we need the points for the Club. Great tournaments Ortho and HOGZ....and everyone else!

I'm honestly just curious, and NOT being critical or trying to be an a** in any way, but is it fun being able to play a tournament at -45 or -38, etc? What challenges are you looking forward to when you play, driving par 4's and albatrossing par 5's?

Jealous doesn't begin to describe it. Pretty awesome you guys.

Is it fun? Heck yea! And it is not about driving par 4's and albatrossing. I have done neither. In my opinion it is all mostly putting. Lot of people think the low scores are because you have your CAG built up. And that is true somewhat - but I have been able to score low from the get go. Now, since I built my golfer up more, I can score even lower...sometimes.

In my opinion it is all about putting mostly. I think most of us are able to be on in 2? Correct? This weekly's tourney had easier greens, but also the hole placements were not too difficult either. Most putts had slight breaks easy to read or hardly any at all. If you got 25ft within the hole you had a good chance to birdie.

Some courses just eat me up though, and some I can score very well on. That is what keeps me coming back.

Yes, as one of the weaker folks, I will say this week's pins and greens are pretty easy. I'd like to say it's my skill that's let me post two rounds in a row in the red (being my first round in the red all year I think) but the putting for this tourney is pretty easy.

I've scored numerous birdies from 20+ feet away. In fact, I may even have more from that distance then from within 10 feet.

The fairly easy weather probably is helping too.

And overall, I think the game is a little to fault too. A few times while trying to hit draws, I ended up in the rough. Now, perhaps the rough is set to short this week, but I find it pretty easy to just club up one or two clubs, and bang, i'm still hitting it onto the green within 20 feet.

in real life, the pros hate the rough because it becomes hard to control the spin of the ball coming out of it, but since in the game, controlling spin is pointless (in fact i have never, ever spun the ball back at all on tournament difficulty)there isn't enough penalty to hitting from the rough. Or bunkers for that matter.

I think for tournament difficulty, the part of the aiming marker that shows how far the ball will roll should be removed. And on shots from the rough, the distance your ball will roll after hitting should be random, to account for the different levels of spin you may generate from the rough.

Personally, I don't care to score that way in this game, but it is a competition. There are plenty of courses and settings that eat me alive and TW13 is the first Tiger console version where I have to truly think my way around a course AND execute the shots. So many times I have lined up what look to be slam dunk approach shots only to end up with a 30-40' putt. I have also had rounds at one course where I shot 10+ under and go to play another course and struggle to break par.

I see what you are saying though and when we have tougher courses with tougher conditions, the game plays a pretty realistic game of Golf. I have drive 2-3 par 4's (with a heckuva tailwind) and I have one double eagle and no Aces yet in 110+ rounds played. We are scoring like this because we have a good short game and we can putt pretty well. The only way I see of making scores more representative of PGA TOUR scores are to remove the grids and many here prefer not to which I totally respect. There are times when no grids are fun, but when you consistently have 20-30+ foot putts, it can be a bit of a drag since you can't really view the slopes appropriately with the cameras we have.
