First of all, if you're still talking about Madden then it's lost on me. I played the demo and to me it was still the same horrible arcady crap with oddly shaped player models that they pump out every year. Sure it had a nice shiny coat of paint on it... and when you start at the bottom in terms of gameplay there is nowhere to go but up. It's still nowhere near 2k5 in terms of gameplay no matter how pretty it looks.
But it sounds like we are on opposite sides of the fence on this one.
I just think WE has damn good gameplay already... so I'm not really looking for improvements there. If they give it a GOOD graphics upgrade and don't lose anything, I'll be happy. What they really need to work on though is the master league and online interface. They are way behind the curve in those two aspects.

not everyone will make the transition (read: those without a 360) but for those of us that have one...I am sure it will not be a problem...there are few games out there that I will go and buy on release day, but WE will be one of them...
anyway, wouldn't mind a champ league or tourney over the holidays but like you said, one more season before we really have to make that call.

In Real Madrid's final game of the season, they traveled to Highbury to take on the Gunners. Arsenal took the first leg in a close one and managed to squeeze a point out in the end. The first half proved to be a defensive struggle as both teams played solid at the back and several shots were either blocked by defenders or by the goalkeepers best friend, the posts.
The second half opened with Roberto Carlos nailing the crossbar from 35m and the each team racked up over 10 shots a peice in the second half, but in the end, nothing could separate them.
It ended 1-1
ARS 1 - RMA 1
14 shots 16
5 OTS 10
55 POS 45
Goals:
ARS: Henri
RMA: Ronaldo

From the IGN review on PES6, the 360 version has not received that new coat of pain and still looks like like the PS2 version. Based on this review, i'm not seeing a reason to sprint to the store on release day to pick this up. However, if quality WE people start posting the gameplay has seen another tweak for the better I'll carefully decide which version to buy.

Fellas,
I must apologize for not being the active owner that i've been in the past couple of seasons. My priorities take a major shift each year on October 1st when Bow season opens. I will also admit to being a bit distraacted with some other games that came out since this current league started. I should have passed on participating in this last season knowing that I would have less time to game and newer titles that would be competing for that time.
I'd be up for a tournament, but will be passing on any league play until after the holidays.
Once again, sorry for the poor ownership this season.

I have to echo Fifa's sentiments. Unfortunately with school and my 6 month old son, I am incredibly busy and extremely tired at night. My time on Live is severely limited and the time I do have I like to spend playing GRAW with my newphew in AZ who recently got hooked up onto Live.
Zep, I want to thank you for the awesome effort and job you have done with the Legaue. This is the best online league I have ever been a part of and it has so much to do with you.
FB, RobV, MoB(congrats again!), Jared, Zep, Squid and everyone else, thanks for being such great opponents. You are all very classy and super fun to play.
I'll see where the league and myself are at after the holidays and when WE 10 comes out.
Thanks guys!
Dennis

Hey guys...
It's definitely been tough to get my games in lately. I've messaged back in forth with some of you, but seems like my new job is just taking too much of my time these days to allow for enough flexibility in terms of games. I'm going away for a conference today until Tuesday so not sure I can finish the league unfortunately.
Just got the job a couple of weeks ago, so sorry that I couldn't know more about it when the season started. However, I'm always up for a game whenever anyone's online- I've had some great battles with some of you. Thanks Zeppo for organizing it along the way.

I should make wed or thurs...dave360 wrote:Snate and XXXIV. Here's my availability

Tuesday after 11pm eastern
Wednesday after 11pm eastern

Friday-till 5pm eastern or so, not sure about night
Saturday-not available at all
Sunday-available in the afternoon
I just moved yesterday an no dsl at home for a couple of days...
snate when are you available?
Well, due to the fact that the remaining games for Arsenal are against teams that yourself dropped points to, I didn't want the promotion from Div 3 to be determined by forfeits.Slumberland wrote:Are games still being played? I thought yesterday was a hard deadline.
However, it is looking more and more like we will contract back to two divisions next season, and in any case depending on if we get any new blood, more than one team may make the jump from Div 3 to Div 2.
So, I made a special extra-extension for those teams to try to play their games with Arsenal while we go through the team-selection and new member joining process.
Look for a 'congrats' thread announcing the end of the season and soliciting new memebers today.
EDIT: To clarify, I want to give these guys one more chance to get their games with XXXIV in until it becomes absolutely clear that it won't make a difference. We are very close to that point, but not quite there yet.
