Goals: Makaay 38', Mc Bride 40'; Boa Morte 60'; Ballack 90+'; Lucio (OG) 90+'
Yellows: John
Bayern ties the game in stoppage time at 2-2 only for Fulham to take the kickoff, get the ball on the flank and cross it in. Ball falls to Boa Morte who shoots and it deflects off Lucio and into the net at the death. Tough break for Leebo, I did not deserve to win that one.

All you lazy, good for nothing, no good. . .
Sure, an extra week, why not? We do it all the time!
Seriously, though, all of us should try to get done this weekend so that we are sure that we are completely finished sometime next week. I will have to decide on forfeits by the end of next week so it doesn't drag on forever, but the deadline is extended to Sunday, Oct. 30. Do get the games in by then, please. I do want to keep going right on into Season 6, and I feel we have a rock-solid group. The promotion battles in the lower divisions seem very competitive right now.

Goals:

Maccarone (MID), 29'
Chevanton (MON), 75'
Meriem (MON), 82'
Yellow Card:
Bernardi (MON), 88'
In a game of two halves, Middlesborough and Monaco fought to a 2-2 tie. Middlesborough opened the scoring with an exquisite finish by Mendieta, drilling a low shot off the inside of the post and in. Middlesborough would have plenty of chances throughout the 1st half, and they scored shortly afterwards when a low cross eluded most of the Monaco defense and GK, leaving Maccarone open for an easy tap in into an empty net.
The second half found a more attacking Monaco, and their fortunes changed with many chances that went begging in the 2nd half. They finally found the back of the net in the 75th minute, when Chevanton put a free kick in the upper left corner from about 25 yards out. Monaco scored again shortly afterwards, when a rebound from an Adebayor shot landed at the foot of Meriem for an easy finish.
Good game pigpen. It was a challenge. Good luck w/the rest of your games.

Man City Win Sneaks Past Berlin
Hertha BSC Berlin 0 : 1 Manchester City FC
Man City got back on the winning track, edging home side Herha Berlin thanks to a second half goal from J. Barton.
The game opened up with City happy to absorb pressure and take chances on the counter. Very soon, though, it became clear Berlin's defenders were hanging back, and City kept posession, content to shorten the game. City created numerous chances, including a free kick from 20M that Reyna belted into the crossbar, but they could not break through. Near the end of the half, however, the tide had turned and Berlin were the ones pinning their oppenents in their own end, and finding room to shoot from all sorts of dangerous angles. Despite plenty of opportunities, neither team could find that finishing touch, and the half ended scoreless.
In the second half, City pressed more players forward, seeking to break through. The moment of brilliance turned out to be authored by J. Barton, no joke. In the 64th minute, he found himself with the ball in the Berlin half, and no one in front of him. Taking several touches towards goal, the midfielder finally realized no one would challenge him, and his low shot from 25M found it's way into the back of the net untouched.
The rest of the half was hectic, with Berlin pressing for the equalizer, and Man City trying to take the air out of the ball with little success. But the home fans went home disappointed, as their boys were unable to beat Weaver in goal, who started the game in place of an unfit James.
Hertha Berlin 0 : 1 Man City

SoT 4 : 5
Corners 1 : 3
Fouls 6 (7) : 4
Off Side 1 : 0
Poss. 43 : 57
Good game, Fab. It seems like you are starting to come to terms with theses guys, but maybe too late. Good luck the rest of the way!

Lazio came out swinging, winning a home/at home double against Hertha Berlin. In the opening match at Stadio Olimpico, Lazio took a comfortable 2-0 halftime lead on the strength of goals by Liverani, whose weak and very stoppable shot snuck by the Berlin keeper at a tight angle in the 2nd minute of play, and Dabo, whose bomb from 32 meters out nearly ripped the twine apart at the 40' mark. Hertha would come closer in the 72' mark on a goal by Rafael, but the 2 goals were enough to win on the day for Lazio.

In Berlin, Lazio sealed the deal with a convincing 6-2 win that took advantage of an often sleepy Hertha defense and a butterfingers goalie. In a driving snowstorm, which hampered both sides, Lazio rocketed to a 4-1 halftime lead. They added two more in the second half, while Berlin managed one in the second frame.

I have four games left and would love to try and get them in whenever anyone in III can play. On a side note, this will be my only season until I find a new job. I'm getting killed at work right now with different schedules every week and don't know that I could commit to another league since my sked is changing each week.

A wild shootout tonight at Stadio Olimpico as the visiting Newcastle and Lazio combined for a total of nine goals!
In a sloppily refereed game in which it seemed everything but the real fouls were called, Lazio got out to a 3-0 lead on goals by DiCanio, Filipini, and Cesar. Shearer, whose hat-trick was overshadowed by the hemmoraging defense added a goal to make the halftime score 3-1.
Shearer made the locals a little nervous as he pulled Newcastle within one two minutes into the second half. A minute later, Rocchi made the score 4-2 for the home side. It wouldn't last long, as only another minute had to pass for Shearer to doggedly answer to make the score 4-3. It was all Lazio after that point, as they went on to tally two more.
