That's not that bad. They gave up a 4th and a 6th in exchange for Denver's 7th rd pick.

Fark headline about Tebow made me chuckle:

Rams fans appeared to have a dodged a big bullet as according to NFL networks Michael Lombardi it was the Jets, Jags and Rams with the serious Tebow offers. :P

Two Fisher bullets dodged today...Gregg Williams and Tebow.

The grease ball is really scaring me.

I know...Its march. 8)

Wow i'm shocked the Dolphins made no offer for Tebow. This can't be real, wake me up cause I was expecting Jeff Fireland to give up two 1st and a 2nd Rd'er for The Teeb.

Now the only issue is that the contract may have hit a snag and he may in fact be going to the Rams if the Jets pull out. LOLOLOLOLOL. Way to speak too soon and jinx yourself:

I want Tebow!!! :D

The way Im understanding it is that everyone is back in as no one wants to pay the $5 mil.

Really didn't see the suspension coming for Payton. Figured he'd get a big fine and that would be it. But if you want to kill bounties, that's the way to do it.

I also cannot figure out Tebow to the Jets. They sign Sanchez to an extension, then immediately cause not only a QB controversy, but a culture war by bringing the Holiest QB in the league to the sinningest city in the NFL after New Orleans. And to a market that could give two shits about college football.

Kudos to the NFL for creating a worthy offseason sequel to last year's lockout drama.
The Tebow deal isn't about football. It's about stealing the back pages of the Post and Daily News from the Super Bowl champion Giants and selling more tickets.

Nothing more.

Plus the Jets only had to give away the going rate for a mediocre backup QB, so it's a square deal for both teams.

That is so wrong yet so funny.

It also seems that the Broncos should be the ones paying $5 million for someone to take Tebow.

The way they are talking about it about it on NFL Network is that asking for that Five mil is something that no one ever does.

We shall see....Fans in Florida your dream is not dead yet.

As for Fisher...I know its as a back up and or a wild card thing but seriously he needs to take his meds.

EDIT: NFL Net updates that the Rams and Jags read and passed on the 5 mil but the Jets did not read that part...So up in the air we are...

EDIT2: Moving fast.....The Jets tweeted that they had made the trade but that does not make it official.

Apparently Angelo is now working for the Jets.

Looks like the Jags are willing to pay the $5 million ransom for The Teeb. They figure they'll get that back with increased ticket sales. If I were them i'd do it. That guy will fill the stands in JAX.

Ban on Payton is stupid. GODdell never can live with someone that's more popular than him or who gets more spotlight. What a joke the NFL is becoming.

Tebow on the Jets is just stupid. he's going to be a locker room feel good manager? what an insult. Guy needs to play football, not play spiritual psychologist. At least with the Jags he would have had time to develop. This will definitely hurt his career.

No, the stupid one was Payton. Goodell gave him plenty of chances to avoid getting penalized. You have to be extremely arrogant and/or dumb to be told you're being investigated and continue doing what you're being investigated for. (That's also known as Sam Hurd Syndrome.)

damn wtf man, news changes like every minute this week. Just posted and the news is already old.

If Tebow goes to the Rams or Jags, then great. Perfect for him. They will give him time to develop. Much better than the Jets. Maybe TT prayed to turn around the Jets trade and it may happen!

Orly?!

Newton, Favre, Warner, Rodgers were specific bounty targets
"Newton joined Brett Favre, Kurt Warner, and Aaron Rodgers as the quartet of quarterbacks who had price on their heads. Or, more accurately, on having their asses dragged off the field."

How do we know Payton knew? You know all the other teams do the same thing, I dont believe the Saints were so dumb to let it be public. I don't know the full story. This reeks of something like Watergate, Iran Contra, Whitewater, or Spygate , LOL.

I don't know the full story but how do we know he knew? has it be proven? That's all I'm asking. If he did know, when did he know and how much did he know? Was all this investigated by GODdell?

Because the NFL told them to cut the sh*t back in 2009 and they didn't. And the GODdell moniker is stupid, and spelled incorrectly as well. So you can stop now.
