Re: Tiger Woods 13 PGA TOUR and CE Info
best I got? I didnt know I was involved in an internet tough guy fight. news to me. I don't need any others to back me up. Last time I checked in the Madden League I finished all my games and played straight up. I only had questions about FA which I did not understand. And some of the questions were jokes just to get you riled up once I figured out you're an uptight dude. But again, you can't take a joke so I just left it as is. And 14? Your'e the one call me names like 'dipshit'. Not me.Danimal wrote:That's the best you have got?Lancer wrote: Oh don't worry about that, I sure do not want to be apart of any league you're running anymore. Online gaming should be fun, not dictated by some control freak Uptight Admin like yourself.
Just look at this thread, you're already whining about how people are too good or too bad, you're already taking the fun out of the game. But that's your M.O. isn't it.
Anyone from the Madden league want to comment on this reply? Or am I too much of a control freak and your scared.
Listen you can't even be bothered to read the simplest instructions. No one is that stupid or lazy so your "I'm too busy to be bothered to read so I'll ask stupid questions" has to be some kind of gimmick. I'm sure you and the other "buds" who hang out at the comic shop think it's funny but it's not.
But hey open invitation anyone who thinks I am a control freak step up and ask for control of the DSP Golf club no worries you can have it. Because being the control freak I am who, you know spends his spare time running leagues with his friends online so everyone can enjoy themselves is just too much for some.
Seriously can you really be this big of a dipshit? You have to be 14 right?
But hey, I will concede, you win, you are INTERNET TOUGH GUY of the day. All Hail the great Danimal. He is King of DSP Forums Internet Battle Royale! Everyone bow down to him!
I won't respond to your attacks any longer as it seems I nit a nerve. Just for the record, you're the one who started to pick on me here and I just defended myself. And last I checked I never asked to be part of your TW league. I'll keep it on topic here with TW and get some good tips and feedback from other posters.

I agree 100 percent, even though I'm not playing nearly as much as I'd like because the weeks leading up to the Indianapolis 500 for me are like late March and early April for an accountant.Leebo33 wrote:No way, you're doing a great job. Re: Tiger Woods 13 PGA TOUR and CE Info
Can someone just help me figure out if I'm doing the right thing to maybe work my way into the main club. I have joined the DSP II club and played the daily today. Should I play the weekly and all the stuff listed under the club options or am I better off just playing offline to try and level up my CAG? Is there other online stuff I should be doing?
I just want to be sure I'm doing the right things to be as cool as the DSP I'ers!

Re: Tiger Woods 13 PGA TOUR and CE Info
I would recommend that you play the Career mode, but stay connected to the EA servers while you're playing. This will accrue status points for the DSP II club and raise your potential to earn coins. I'm not a fan of coins and boosts for online play, but they will help you in career mode toward raising your XP at higher rates. You can make the career mode just as difficult as you want, so as you gain attributes and ability, you can tweak it to keep the challenge where you want it.RallyMonkey wrote:Can someone just help me figure out if I'm doing the right thing to maybe work my way into the main club. One thing that needs to be stressed is to play the two special challenges offered as part of the career week event, particularly the Sponsor challenge. That will unlock a equipment and clothing that you may prefer and in many cases will elevate your attributes.
By all means play the weekly as I think it means a lot to the club's status and may be one of the best ways to raise your status within the club. I would knock out some career mode stuff first, and make sure you use the XP Multiplier boost pin in your career mode play. I would even buy a pin package which includes boost pins with the coins you've earned. Make sure that you use that XP multiplier pin with all of your 18 hole career rounds. It will make a big difference in how you accumulate attributes.Should I play the weekly and all the stuff listed under the club options or am I better off just playing offline to try and level up my CAG? Re: Tiger Woods 13 PGA TOUR and CE Info
I still don't completely understand how the boost pins are supposed to work. In career mode I applied the XP multiplier which I do understand, as well as the overall attribute boost. It says +15 to all attributes, so I assume that means if my current CAG power is 50, this boost would be as if my power was 65 for the round? If so, I just did not see it. I had been to the point where I was finally driving consistently at around 250. For the round I had this boost applied I could barely drive 225 if I was lucky. Did not seem like it boosted anything. My putting was more terrible as well. What do the specific player and course boosts do? Does it make the course easier? Is it just for certain holes or the entire course?J_Cauthen wrote:By all means play the weekly as I think it means a lot to the club's status and may be one of the best ways to raise your status within the club. Agreed. Dan, you are doing a great job and this is the most fun I've had with any sort of on-line league in a ling time. I can't remember any recent game that gives me more heart beats than playing online CC matches. As proud as I was earlier coming back to beat a foursome on the last hole at Els, I completely choked on the 17th in Hawaii as I misjudged the wind and swam with the fish. Was ahead by 4 shots only to lose it all on the 18th by a shot to the other club. I could see him coming strong birdie after birdie and I just let loose my pedal.
Love the CC matches, win or lose.

For being a "control freak" you sure are accommodating to suggestions from your inferiors.

Seriously, thanks for changing the the weekly tournaments from Monday to Sunday. I should now have no problem finishing my rounds

I posted in this thread about it yesterday or the day before. Crap I just gave the spot to Rally. I am sure someone else will drop soon or else I'll do an audit of players when I get back from my golf trip and see if anyone has not actively participated.Spooky wrote:Hey - I never got a PM about it...

Re: Tiger Woods 13 PGA TOUR and CE Info
I just put up a -9 in the daily with the new settings. It definitely made it easier for me, as Casey was significantly better than my CAG, and the putt preview made my putting much more sure on small breakers. It's harder to pinpoint the effect of the PGA Tour swing difficulty, but it may have made my approach shots less likely to miss the green.

Nice round Naples. I put up a -9 under as well but you have me beat on points. I double bogied the 3rd after being -2 on first two holes. Definitely left a few strokes out there as well, trying to adjust to the putt preview and my native putting stroke. So it may screw with my head when/if we go back to previous settings.

-4 for the round. I forgot that we had putt preview until the 3rd hole which put me at -1 thru 3, but took a snowman on 4 lol. I hit a fairway trap off the tee and it took me three shots to get out. Not sure if it was the three pints of Guinness I had prior to playing or what, but I wasn't buried in it by any means. Was wired that I couldn't get out of that sumbiatch, ha!
Oh well. Even though I only had a -4 for the round I felt the conditions were set up for some easy scoring opportunities.

That's a great score. Personally, I didn't see much difference with my CAG, Casey was steadier in the chipping department but again my score didn't change much shooting a -1.Naples39 wrote:I just put up a -9 in the daily with the new settings. Re: Tiger Woods 13 PGA TOUR and CE Info
I was messing around and played the whole round from the overhead cam and that didn't work out.
I thought the putt preview with no grids was different, interested to hears if others liked it. As for Casey he didn't do much for me but the top of the leaderboard is close. I guess once the big hitters play the round with him we'll know the answer.
I'm more interested if people preferred the putt preview over the grids. If it made it easier or harder?

Re: Tiger Woods 13 PGA TOUR and CE Info
I finished -8 with Casey. It threw me some challenges I wasn't expecting though. Casey's waggling over the putt *seemed* worse than my CAG. That sort of compromised my confidence with him, although I did make one 36 footer for birdie.
I'm not sure what to think of the gridless greens with putt preview. I sort of felt like it was a bit too clinical. The preview line just seems more artificial than grids. My non-conventional, PPRM putting method required some rethinking of my putts, but I adjusted after about 6 holes. I should have played some practice holes before setting out in a competitive round with it, but that's on me.
It looks like we've got some tight bunching at the top though... 2 guys at -9, two at -8 and two at -7. It was an interesting experiment, but I feel like I've got more invested with my CAG, and feel more immersed when playing with him.
I'll say one thing, for a game that is arguably strapped in terms of options, it still has a lot going for it!

DSPCC Head to Head Achievement Drive
I was looking at our club achievement list and the only thing holding our club back from Silver status is the 25 Head to Head intraclub match item. MERACE and I managed to play a nine hole match tonight, after our 18 hole match ended on a freeze after the 7th hole.
I created and launched the game from the DSPCC lobby, but oddly enough, before Mark could join the match, I'd have a random jump in and be ready to play. This happened three times over the course the two matches I set up. For one thing, it was ironic that three randoms actually wanted to play a matchplay match in Tournament difficulty!? It pointed out ridiculous this flaw is in EA's matchmaking in the Tiger Woods games. Why can't we create private matches in our club's own head-to-head lobby for Pete's sake?
I think a possible solution to this problem is to create a private room in the XBox Live lobby, where only people on one's friend's list can get in. If you create a game from one of these private rooms on the XBox Live main lobby, is the game truly only open to being joined by those on your Friend's list? I'd like to try this tomorrow night and see if we can get some more DSP'ers in there for some Head-to-Head matches if anyone is up for it.
Finally, while I was vacuuming the living room early last night, as penance for being able to play
, I gobbled up the cord to my Xbox 360 headset and severed the line with the vacuum cleaner
Thankfully, it was the $20 job, which was on its last legs anyway. Anyone have any recommendations for alternatives to the stock headset? I've had mixed results with the wireless, and not sure I want to go there again.
My son has a Triton, AX Pro headset that he uses for PC gaming. It's got a very convoluted adapter for use with the XBox 360, but I got frustrated trying to get the darn thing hooked up. It requires the use of a fiber-optic cable, of which I can't find my spare. Anyone tried that with the 360? Russ says it works great with the PC.

Re: Tiger Woods 13 PGA TOUR and CE Info
I prefer the grids on also.
I think using Paul Casey messed me up in my offline career for the night as I played the last 2 rounds at the PGA National course and struggled all night hitting straight drives off the tee. I was in first place at -14 with a 6 stroke lead through 2 rounds and ended up finishing -1 for the tournament for a 25th place finish and the winning score ended up -12.
