There are a ton of awesome phones for the price these days. I simply can't afford to try them all now. LOL. So no.

Ha. Man, the specs are pretty solid. I love the big battery and huge screen size. If the Note 8 doesn't blow me away I may go for a big screen mid tier phone this year.

I ended up buying my daughter a Moto Z Play for $399 at Best Buy. LOVE IT! I liked it so much, I sold my s7e and ordered a OP3T. Why a 3T? The Z Play reminded me a lot of the OP3T. I don't need the QHD screen like I thought I did. I paid $549 for my s7e and sold it for $500 with 2 cases. Not a bad deal for either of us. I think the days of me spending $800 on a flagship are over. I've never had a Note, and I have a big itch for the Note 8. I just don't know if I can stomach paying over $900 for it. Maybe this is my inner pk500 of being smart with money. All in all, I think the OP3T is the best available phone for anyone. The Z Play has some aspects that are unmatched. Battery life is seriously revolutionary. The camera is pretty weak, but that's not a huge knock on a $400 phone. The OP3T camera is also it's weak spot. All in all, I got a Z Play and a 3T for the price of a new Galaxy phone. #winning

The camera on the 3T is not a weak spot. It's not quite Pixel good but it's still punches way above its price point.

I guess I should have specified. I meant more so the video camera aspect of the 3t. Assuming it's like my op3 was, the video is pretty weak. You can definitely get some solid point and shoot pics with it, though. Camera is at the bottom of my list. I think I took 100 pics with my s7e in the 3 months I owned it. I'm not on facebook or snapchat, so I don't really even use the camera. All in all, I am excited to get a OP3t in my hands. $439 for an Op3t is a hell of a deal. I'm also pretty surprised I sold my s7e for $500, when a brand new in box s7e exynos is going for $510 on swappa lol.

Aren't you going to have to flip it in a few weeks when the Samsung flagships come out?

I personally am way more excited about the LG G6 than I am the Samsung S8/S8+ (or whatever they call it).

Nope. At this point in time, I'm going to be locked in with the 3T. It has everything I need in a phone, and at a pretty good price too. There's nothing the new S8 will give me that the 3T won't, besides a much more crisp screen, better camera, waterproof and micro sd storage. Sounds like a lot, but the 3T fits me perfectly. The ONLY phone in 2017 that can get me to spend a good chunk of money is the Note 8. I've never had one, and I really want one. I don't need a stylus, and I don't really want to spend what Samsung is asking. Most likely, the Note 8 will be $9xx after taxes. I am hoping for a buy one get one, or buy one get one half off deal. If that's the case, a buddy of mine who is getting it for sure will go in on one. If my only option is paying $9xx for it, I really don't know if I will get it. The 3T is just that good. I also like the fact it was $439, which is pretty cheap for what you get with it. The S8 looks awesome, but most of the upgrades are meaningless to me. It looks super sleek, but I'm done feeling like I need to drop big money every year for the newest Galaxy S. I'm also pretty interested in the IPhone this year. Apparently, it will be a revolutionary phone. I am hearing 5.7" and nearly bezel free. We will see. Just hard to drop nearly $1k on a phone when the 3T does damn near everything for half price. Another shout out to DB for putting me on to OnePlus. I initially felt kind of dirty ordering a Chinese phone online, but it worked out and this will be my 2nd one.

Unless you're looking at the s7 and op3t next to each other you're not gonna notice the screen resolution. Seriously. And it being OLED too makes them quite similar. And w that lower screen res you also get better battery life on the 3T. Soooo I wouldn't say it's a con at all. ;)

Alright. My Moto g4 play gets REALLY laggy sometimes. Is there a fix? It's nearly unresponsive at times.

Reboot it or kill apps in the background that are running.

Ha. I'm done until at least September. At that point I will decide if the Note 8 is worth the $900-1k. There will also be a new iPhone, OnePlus, Pixel and Moto phone to check out. I am very content with my current Moto Z Play. I bought another Moto Z Play the other day for $204. It was a refurbished phone from Best Buy. After looking into it more, it's Geek Squad refurbished. Geek Squad is s***. It's like calling the toothless hick at the quick oil change place a mechanic. I didn't realize it was Geek Squad refurbished. I assumed it was refurbished by Motorola and sold by Best Buy. There's a 90 day return policy. I've done some research, and a few people have had problems with their Geek Squad Moto Z Play. They sent them in to Motorola and were given a brand new phone in exchange. I think I will wait a week then send my refurb in to Motorola and see if I can get a brand new one out of it. If not, I will flip it on Swappa. If I get another new one, I will hold onto it as a backup.

The rumors are they will raise prices on their phones. They're already doing it on their android tablets. The Galaxy Tab S3 supposedly are priced the same as the iPad Pro 9.7" tablets.

Though it seems those Galaxy phones are discounted or they will have promotions (like $99 upfront or 2 for 1) as soon as 2 months after launch.

No one is going to bat an eye at Samsung raising prices on galaxy phones that are not Notes. The S8 and S8+ will sell a crapload.

Too bad they screwed up and couldn't finish getting the fingerprint reader embedded in the screen. Now it's in the absolute worst location ever. Next to the camera. Horrible.

 S8 - 799€ S8+ - 899€ DeX - 150€ GearVR - 129€ Gear360 - 229€

Those are the leaked prices for the s8/s8+. No idea how they translate to American dollars.

It sure seems like the HTC Ultra is a giant failure. Reviews have all been very poor for it. Flossy Carter(my #1 reviewer) and Marques Brownlee(also good) both ripped it to shreds. Sounds like a phone that will be available for much cheaper within a few months. I also expect the LG G6 to have it's price slashed by summer time.

This is going to be a great year. I am alternating between a z play and a 3t, so I am in no rush. I'm holding out for the Note 8 and the new iPhone. Assuming the iPhone is as revolutionary as expected, I may leave android behind for ios.

I'll be getting the unlocked international g6 once it's released in the states and the price drops 200 bucks. It happens every year. I need the international version because it's the only one w the quad dac for high res audio. Can't believe they are making features region specific. Like wireless charging is only available in the states. What the hell? Anyway. Once the g6 hits about 600-650 I'll grab it. It was 1000 last week and now down to just over 800. In two weeks it'll be its normal price after the US release.

Yep. That boggles my mind how many variants of phones there are. Take the s8 for instance. It's available in 6GB ONLY in China. Apparently, spec wars are fierce in China. With OnePlus coming out with 6GB, the normal 4GB would be seen as inferior to the Chinese market. Seems really weird how no one else in the world even has the option to pay more for 6GB. Then you have the wireless charging or hifi dac on the G6. The people who get the hifi dac are salty they don't have wireless charging and vice versa. LG needs all the help they can get in order to restore confidence after all their bootloop issues, as well as using the 821 instead of the 835. It seems like a hell of a phone at a discount like you mentioned. There are some very solid preorder deals I have seen. One of them is the phone, a Google Home and a 43" tv for $7xx. Great deal if you wanted Home and a tv anyways.

I'm going to keep my wallet welded shut until September. I won't need a phone then, but I want one. I've become a super big mobile technology fan. It's probably a toss up between the Note 8 or the IPhone 8. I want something NEW that I have never had before. That will either be an s pen or back to ios. I'd honestly prefer the iPhone, but only if it's really as groundbreaking as they claim. It would also be nice if they implemented quick charging of some kind. I have read an iPhone can take 3 hours to charge? lol

Hi Scott. Curious as to what you are looking forward to on the G6. I've still got my iPhone 6 Plus and debating making the switch back to Android at some point soon. It's either that or try and hold off for the new iPhone in the Fall.

I also hated what I saw with the S8's finger print location. Going to be a whole lot of smudging of the camera. Not sure why they didn't at least do it like the Pixel with it being lower in the back.
