Big props to the bears for faking everyone out as far as injuries.
Are you kidding? Neither Jeffery nor Marshall was anywhere near 100%. Jeffery in particular was a small fraction of his normal self. The first time he was targeted, Cutler put it at the customary altitude and Alshon lept...about an inch. He looked like me out there when he left his feet. Marshall couldn't cut worth a s***.
The pivotal change came at halftime. Trestman gave up trying to take the top off the defense to get the safeties out of the box and realized that he was going to have to beat that defense with intermediate stuff that could capitalize on what the two big guys could do...be big. The running game was never going to go anywhere without a deep threat anyway, so he he stuck the WR's in routes that took advantage of their size and ability to get leverage vs. the DB's and worked in the occasional screen. Wonderful hafltime adjustment that looked even better on those short fields that the D was giving them.
Halftime adjustments...they're not just for the rest of the league anymore.

The funny thing is that his playcalling resembled what works in Madden!

I'm about to quit watching this league. These bs penalties on d are making this game a joke. The ref favoritism is right out of David stern school.
Raiders jobbed in that last drive by phantom holding calls costing them a tie. Those same penalties don't get call if it's not the pats on the other side if the field.
Got a real good idea how bad the Dolphins are this year. They get crushed by BUF, BUF loses to SD today and with all of KC's injuries this was a winnable game. They get their asses kicked by KC and both Philbin and Tannehill need to be shown the door.

Too bad the bad guys won.
On the bright side....
Gratz to you 10s.
Edge of the seat stuff. The key momentum change for the Broncos was the safety and from the key INT afterwards. Hawks were cruising and I could see them easing on the pedal when they missed the FG prior to the safety and as I was saying earlier both QB's played outstanding. Imagine if this was the real SB game. Wilson just did his magic in OT keeping the ball away from Peyton.

I'm ready for hockey.. not because of the Rams.. but I'm sick of watching penalty after penalty.. Sims sheds a TE who was blocking him and then sacks Romo and they call him for holding.. they also called him earlier for roughing the passer when he never touched Romo's helmet. I see these calls in just about every game I sit down to watch. The NFL to me has just become so boring to watch when it's yellow flag after yellow flag.

Jack Del Rio had a shocker in OT. After that 4th quarter, even Dimwit Laureate Phil Simms realized that at least sometimes Denver needed to be spying Wilson. Everyone knows that when the rubber meets the road, they're going to simplify the playbook for Wilson, send him no more than two routes to read and then let him run as option 3.
I understand Denver's reluctance to get away from what had been a fairly successful gameplan, but the cracks were showing long before OT. In a close game in the NFL, the team that identifies and adapts on the fly is going to prevail. Good job by Darrell Bevell and a poor one by longtime lunkhead Del Rio.

Both of those calls were made and both dictated the out come of the game. No one who saw the calls can argue that both were NON existent and 100% fabricated.
The question is why?
I dont believe the refs can be that bad. I do believe that goodell is that bad. Take from that what you will.
Who's the rocket scientist who scheduled this steaming pile of a game for prime time while leaving the obviously destined for excellence SEA-DEN matchup for the late afternoon games?

I imagine CBS and Fox get some sort of say for their billions of dollars. There are a handful of games that would have also been more intriguing than tonight's clash of the titans.

That's correct. The other networks can "protect" a certain number of games each season from being poached by Sunday Night. That (DEN/SEA) game was definitely one of them.
