Not sure why you guys are here if you hate this thread so much....

I do love the idea of settling this with chainsaws though!

I'll put a one-week cool-down period starting now on replying to this thread. I have fallen behind on other stuff anyway, so it's a good excuse to rediscover my life outside of arguing with Jared ;)

Car crashes have a way of attracting attention.

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but I couldn't resist after the latest headline passed by my screen:

"Global warming could be causing kitten boom"

http://www.scrippsnews.com/node/34966

If there was ever an opportune time for a lolcat it would be now:

Would that be Global Warming or George W.? Seriously, all the world's ills are blamed on one or the other, right?

This is one of those times when Dubya can't be blamed for something. :)

Well, GW is blamed for GW, so in a roundabout way...

Actually, as absurd as this sounds on the surface, the fact that it gets warmer earlier in the season every year, does indeed mess with ALL animals instincts of when the breeding/mating season begins. Cats and all stray animals are mating earlier than usual and that is causing more and more stray kittens. The main reason though behind all the strays are people that don't spay or neuter their cats and then they release them into the streets. People are more the cause of stray kittens, but GW is just compounding the problem.

I thought that was Bill Clinton's problem, not GWs.

That cat story is right up there with one that was the headline story on cnn.com a few weeks ago. Something along the lines of Global Warming being the cause for starving children in some country. I read the article, and it never made any conenction as to how GW was responsible. "News" sites like CNN are seeming more like entertainment than news each day. It's like watching a reality show based around a news channel rather than a credible source for information.

I blame GW for the bugs in Madden and NCAA! :D

To be fair though, Jack, his administration has been up to a lot of funny business with their refusal to release the E.P.A. report on global warming.

Best wishes,

Doug

Guess I gotta keep my GW's straight

So, if GW does nothing about GW, and GW ends up getting worse and worse and ruining GW's legacy, does that mean that GW should have stopped GW by dealing more seriously with the causes of GW or was GW the reason the weapons of mass destruction were never found? :D

Best wishes,

Doug

You bumped up this thread for this? I think you are itching to get political banter going again, any way possible.

I really have nothing of value to add to discussion of global warming, I just really wanted to quote this line :) ;

Angry survivors blame council 'green' policy
"We've lost two people in my family because you dickheads won't cut trees down," he said. "We wanted trees cut down on the side of the road … and you can't even cut the grass for God's sake."
