Opening remarks from the announcer on gameplay movie 3 at gamespot:
"none of that no fun league stuff in this game" :)

Looking good, can't wait to check out the demo.

The videos do look good ...and the game does look better to me the more samples I have had to look at.

The commentary is cute with the verbal jabs at the enemy.

Im still not ready to spend $60 on it. 3 football games is $180 plus tax.

I am getting closer and its pissing me off :P

I don't know about OL vs. DL interactions.

2K, you could use the Twist line stunt and DTs were getting double-digit sacks in a season.

Another official trailer, which looks much, much, better than the first one VC released. Highlights Montana, Rice, Payton, Butkus and the Fridge.

Why is the Fridge a legend? The other lineman on that bears team were all better.

This game is starting to raise my eyebrows a bit. That Rice clip really looks great.

Just goes to show why Rakim is one of the best rappers of all-time. LOL. That's about all I get from that clip.

True, but one of the charming things about the group of legends is that they have such a wide range of guys. It makes for some funky combinations. I mean, Andre Ware, Solomon Wilcots, Ken O'Brien, Reggie Cobb, Neil O'Donnell, Jeff Hostetler...it's kind of fabulous.

I see your point ... but I wouldnt use the word fabulous in the same paragraph with Andre Ware :P

I've been to two rap concerts in my 35 years and one was an Eric B and Rakim concert. It was one of the best concerts I've ever been to.

The other was Public Enemy and is was ok, nothing close to Eric B and Rakim though.

Since this game releases the same day as NCAA, I wonder if you can pick it up at the same time that you get the EA game - like at one of the midnight madness sales? I have a ton of time off built up and was going to take that Tuesday off and play some football. It would be nice to get them both at midnight and do some late night gaming.

I'm still getting this game on release day. But I have some concerns:

- If you don't play online, this game is going to have a limited shelf life due to some real puzzeling decesions.

- The animations look good, but the graphics / models don't look as good as 2K5 IMO although that probably has to do with the uniforms designs.

- I've still seen nothing to convince me that the DB AI has improved. This will warrant an instant return for me if it is not fixed. I couldn't stomach this issue in 2K5 and two of the videos I saw showed a succesful corner route and flea flicker, things that worked constantly in 2K5. I've already been beaten to death with the "easy level" excuse on another site so save your breath.

To me this game seems like a re-skinned 2K5 with a lot of the options taken out and for $40 more. I know for many that will be enough, but I am still holding out hope that once I get my hands on my opinion will change because right now I'm not seeing $60 worth of value. But i didn't see $60 of value in ShadowRun either before I bought it. (Obviosuly if you mainly play online and in leagues you will feel differently.)

The day before NCAA. I really want to see a demo because otherwise I'm going to fall for NCAA I think.

Word is the demo won't be out until after the game ships.

That's the problem with 2k sports.

Right now, I don't see what 2k has done to energize many people outside of their already-built fanbase that has stuck with them through two years without a game.

If the game doesn't perform on shelf, it is going to have a hard time sticking around at retail as Fall's big titles start shipping.

First that was the word from a OS mod, so I am not saying it is 100% accurate that the demo will follow release.

But someone also said this and I kind of agree. Most people buying this game on launch day are 2K fans, football addicts (thats me) and 2K backers.

The backers are buying the game no matter what, it could be the biggest piece of s*** on the planet and they would still find a way to make you believe otherwise. So they are a sale no matter what.

Now the other two groups the 2K fans and the football addicts. Well they are going to buy it as well but they are not 100% sold on the product but will give it a try.

Now what if a demo comes out before release and it is bad. People in those last two groups might be convinced not to buy the game. So really a demo before release can hurt as much as help.

Not sure if this has already been posted, but sportsgamer.com has the full list of players, broken down by abilities:

http://www.sportsgamer.com/all_pro_football_players/

I'm glad to see LC Greenwood make the game. I ought to be able to put together a pretty good defense with him, Lambert, Lloyd and Woodson. With Bubby Brister or Neil O'Donnell at QB, I'm going to need all the defense I can get.

AS GT mentioned there are some good impression being posted by OS. It has certainly got me more excited about the game. My main question still remains will i enjoy this game for long, because playing online hasn't been my thing with football games. But I'll get to answer that myself soon enough.
