Re: NFL Season 2011-2012
Bears signed Jason Campbell.
So this is what it is like to get excited for your football team in March. I haven't had this feeling in a long time.

Re: NFL Season 2011-2012
Bears got Brandon Marshall from the Dolphins in a trade. why did Miami trade him if they want Manning? Wouldn't you want to keep your wrs?
Redskins get a bunch of WR's, garcon being one.

It's overrated.Danimal wrote: So this is what it is like to get excited for your football team in March. I haven't had this feeling in a long time.
So the Skins go nuts with the wideouts. While it's hard not be happy with the serious upgrades, especially since they seem to have avoided the more troubled locker room types in that group, I am deeply concerned that the bigger problem, the offensive line, remains untouched. Also our safety situation is now a total disaster, we still haven't come to terms with London Fletcher, and did I mention they need to improve th O-line? There's little point in having good wideouts if the QB has no time to let them get down field.

Sign and over pay all his Titan buddies or just this one?sportdan30 wrote:Rams finally jump in to the free agent sweepstakes. Signs CB Cortland Finnegan to a five year 50 million dollar contract.......wow!
I hope the grease ball knows what he is doing.
EDIT: That might have been a bit harsh. I should give him a pass on Williams and wait until Finnegan actually suits up. Maybe he will sign an NFL player next?
Re: NFL Season 2011-2012
Hey hey.. I like the Finnigan signing
This team is going to have a defense, with Fischer, you can bet on that.

I'm fine with the trade as long as he still beats press coverage.dbdynsty25 wrote:Enjoy your woman beater Bears fans. Allegedly.

In all seriousness, not happy to hear about this, but there's also some fishy stuff in that story.

Every time there is a Brandon Marshall story, some sh*t sounds really fishy. That's his M.O.Brando70 wrote:I'm fine with the trade as long as he still beats press coverage.dbdynsty25 wrote:Enjoy your woman beater Bears fans. Allegedly.

It's not like they didn't know what they were getting he has been involved in worse and I would think they would of charged him if there was evidence he punched someone.
Of course WTF are you out at 3:50am? Well you're a pro athlete with no concept of reality but as I said they knew what they were getting. Good to see married life has brought him to a normal sense of self though, at least his (new?) wife isn't stabbing him yet

Oh it's the same wife that stabbed him. So no need to worry...no history there.Danimal wrote:Of course WTF are you out at 3:50am? At least she's getting hit in the face by bottles now...she's upping her game.
Re: NFL Season 2011-2012
I don't know how you give $55 million ($26 guaranteed) to Vincent Jackson when he's never eclipsed 70 catches and has been a royal pain in the ass for years. He's physically very gifted, but he's also very inconsistent and tends to pad his stats with a few monster games before disappearing for stretches.
Sorry to see the Bears missed out on Jeremy Mincey from Jacksonville. The DE market is drying up quickly and I don't think they are going to offer Mario Williams as much as some other teams.
