We're in the off season.

Go look at retirements, there were a lot. Only one I noticed from scanning was Favre retiring again

Look at progression and then set up your draft board.

I'll be back tomorrow with some live rookie draft options.

I went in and looked around for a bit this morning -- pretty psyched about the draft. I did a few draft board rankings already.

The website is definitely a bit wonky. I tried sorting by OVR for all players, and for some reason QBs were not showing up on the list, although they were there when sorting by position. The in-game board worked pretty well and it was easy to rank guys -- just like moving movies around in a Netflix queue.

Progression was interesting -- the older guys fell, but a couple younger players on my team who were underutilized like Kevin Walter also dropped a point or two.

Guys, we have a problem. I was looking through the draft class and I couldn't find anyone younger than 37. Most were 40 or over. What the hell is going on?

Edit: Actually I should clarify. It appears as if their real age appears in the sortable stats but if you select a player and look at their profile underneath the sortable stats they are much older.

Yep, all of their ages show really old in one view, but when you draft them and move to the season they aren't that old. Not a big deal other than viewing them pre-draft.

What do you mean when you select a player?

Is there a way to drill down and see more then the line item scores? For example I couldn't find potential and i swore in that video someone posted a while back the guy was viewing potential.

I am almost positive potential doesn't appear until after they are drafted.

Potential doesn't appear anywhere in online drafts.

But overall rating does, so you're basically just looking at exact rating numbers in all categories.

Would have been funny if EA would have programmed to have Favre put back into the free agency pool once the new season began.

Yeah even cooler if they could have him just show up in the free agent list in week one like he does every year.

Scoop you need to tell me what you want to do with Adai as he as on IR. If you want him back i need to know who to drop for you.

I will take care of the Falcons IR since they are cpu controlled now.

I would prefer either Wed or Fri....I don't want to be drafting during Philly vs. Chicago (love watching DeSean Jackson). So one of the first two would be great.

I'm out of town for all three, during exactly that range (Wed afternoon to Sunday). There is a 50-50 chance that I'll be there on Sunday; otherwise I can't make any of these choices.

Also, when are we going to do our FA cuts? Should we do them before the college draft (as it'll automatically give us most of the necessary roster slots for the college draft)?

(ahh, missed your post about FA release 1st....sorry.)

He's not showing up as being on IR to me but I'm definitely keeping him. To make room I'll drop CB T.J. Rushing. Do you have to do it or can I?

Well there is no real IR in the game. IR consists of dropping the guy to FA and he can't be claimed by anyone else. Then at season end getting him back on the roster.

Badgun put him on IR so I assumed he followed that procedure of releasing him to FA.

You can do it in game, the website is not working or I can do it. Whichever I just don't want to forget about it.

Guys, any consideration to bumping the CPU level up a bit for season 2?

If not to All-Madden, at least bump the the slider a few notches north to make them more competitive?

Also, did we decide on an official play clock run off and qtr length for season 2?

You can't change the sliders in online franchise, and I know that not many people want to deal with the All-Madden CPU. The pull here is the human games, not the CPU games.
