Tough conditions at the daily today. Constant 23-25 mph wind. On one hole, where the drive was directly into the wind and uphill, my drive went 210 yards.

Still, I was playing my best round ever, sitting at -4 after 13. Then I completely duffed my drive into the water....took a big snowman on that hole. Two more bogeys and I finished at +2.

You can disable grids in the gameplay settings in game.

I just hated the gutsy wind today at Celtic Manor. Misjudged it a couple of times and fell into the water two times. Putting was better, sinking some long ones but failed at some easier 4-6 foot putts. I have to tell myself to slow down. Slow down. +5

And Gurantsu, sorry to see you leave man. For the record again, I hope and I don't think the community is here to mock at the lesser skilled players but rather to have fun among a bunch of mature dudes. However there are some other guys that should be more involved and perhaps leave their place to others if their schedule is too busy. But as long as you're having fun, that's all that it counts.

Absolutely brutal fn conditions in today's daily. Held at +2 until the back when the pouring rain and gusting winds made it impossible to score. Finished at +8. F@ck.

Don't get me wrong, the club is a great idea and fun; my frustration comes from the Kinect implementation not my poor scores in tournaments. Since I have the PS3 version as well and have been playing more of it than the Xbox it makes sense to let someone else have the spot. If there was more room for all of us I'd stay, but as it is let someone else have at it.

Wow, you guys weren't kidding about today's round. I was even after 9 holes, but then 4 putt on the back nine to go +4, but was able to birdie 15, 16 & 17 to finish at +1.

Played the DSP 2 Daily round at Scottsdale. Was surprised to see the swing meters on and then realized that I LOVE them! :) Seriously, though, the meter was SO much help for putting. I think I'm going to select Expert swing but turn on the meter for my offline games until I get a better overall feel.

-6 in the wind at Celtic Manor this morning. Fortunately the wind was aiding me on two of the long par 5's and I was able to stick 'em close for eagles. I did also have a 3 putt for bogey on the hole following my first eagle and also had to sink a big bender of about 25 feet to save par on another hole. Sinking that putt resulted a nice little fist bump and the outburst of "yes!" at about 4:45 this morning nearly waking up my wife lol.

I managed to hit all but one fairway in regulation and averaged 1.5 putts for the round.

That daily at Celtic was insane...one little mistake and it gets compounded by the wind. I felt lucky to break 10+. LOL. Definitely a nice change of pace tho...I dug the conditions. Quite a bit more thinking and planning is involved in that monsoon crap. I probably should have played a practice round before I played it tho...as I've been on vacation without my Xbox for a little while so I was a bit rusty.

Is there anywhere I can see what the main DSP CC Daily Round settings/conditions/locations are? Since I'm not in the club I'd like to try and play along for fun on my own just to see where I stand...

I believe all the dailies are tournaments settings, green grids on, caddie off, with live weather. You just need to ask what today's location is and the rest of the settings are very simple.

Hey Don, I don't know if this will help you at all, but unless I'm doing short-range stuff or putting, I almost never pay attention to the tempo at which I pull back my swing, (It's pretty fast) nor how far (all the way).

I get 'overswing' when I push up after the animation of my golfer reaches the top of his swing, and get 'underswing' if I start before he gets there. In other words, at least in my experience, over/underswing has far more to do with when I push the stick up (in conjunction with the animation) rather than how fast or far I draw the stick back. For normal drives and overswing, there is no such thing as 'pulling back too far on the left stick' as long as you push forward early enough, and I pull back all the way almost all the time....

Yep, that's the basic setup for the last week in the dailies. I always enable wind gusts in a addition to the live weather. The only thing that changes that you can't readily see is the pin settings, green speed, and rough length. I can post that everyday when I set up the Daily. At Celtic Manor today, we had average speed, Hard-1 pins, and medium rough.

Only missing one fairway in those conditions is quite a feat! A six under par round under these conditions is something to savor :) The wind aided me right into the fairway bunkers on two par fives. I wound up bogeying one of them. I never really felt confident at what I was doing during this round, especially after starting off bogey - bogey. My birdie putt on 18 lipped out. Had it gone in, I would have moved from sixth to possibly 3rd, at the time, depending on how my tie-breaker points would have compared to Danimal's. It's this type of thing that makes this game fun to play though 8)

I don't recall what I got at Celtic. -4, maybe? But for me, the weather conditions weren't actually a big deal. As always, the greens were my issue. This time I couldn't get used to the slowness of them, and left a bunch of shots short, while also being unable to figure out where to target for the benders.

If I ever figure out how to putt with any consistency whatsoever, I may be able to win one of these on occasion!

Indeed it was -4... another great score considering.

I can relate... I actually have the most trouble with "slow" greens. I usually overplay the break on medium to long putts but run too many short putts right over the hole because I've pissed from leaving a longer putt short due to the slowness :? :o
If I ever figure out how to putt with any consistency whatsoever, I may be able to win one of these on occasion!
Your day in the sun is coming Web... you're putting up too many solid scores consistently to not have a win.

I don't think you can for OCC tournaments and events. Unless of course I'm missing it too.

A change in the live weather conditions is the only possible explanation. :P
