Im going to miss him in Boston.

No more death threats in the hand shake line? Sad day indeed.

Maybe out of Boston he will behave like a human being. When he plays hockey he is a good player.

Bruins Sweeney couldnt believe he was being booed again when making the second of his three straight pics. " Booing again?"

Reading the hf boards , he is being booed even harder in Boston. Comedy.

There's no doubt that Bruins are in a rebuilding stage, Lucic is still only 27 as if the Kings needed to get any heavier. They'll be back in the big dance next year, in fact a favorite to win the Cup in my eyes. At the expense of the Canucks. Still to pick at #23 O doubt they can duplicate the successful season they had unless Benning manages to pull some miracle trades.

I like what BUF and CAL have done so far.

What a swing of emotions in the last two 24 hours concerning the drafts of my favorite winter sports teams.

I was disgusted by the Knicks' picks last night, as I think the franchise is doomed to futility for the next few seasons. But there is a whole new sense of hope for the Oilers with the new front office and drafting McDavid No. 1 overall.

I think that trade may for Griffin Reinhart has potential to turn out great as well.

I agree about the Kings. If I was in Vegas, that is who I bet on to win it next year.

On the other hand...It was before the trade as well so... :P

Hey idiot Bergevin...you do realize that you were #16 out of the 16 playoff teams in scoring and #1 in goals against.

The beat goes on with this clown.

NBC coverage pure s*** just like all their other hockey coverage. May God have mercy on their souls.

Loving the pick of Provorov. Exactly what Hakstol preaches. Can't wait to see the Flyers under his direction.

Ignoring McDavid, I am very intrigued by the Oilers this year. I don't know much about Talbot, but he can't be any worse then Scrivens! At least now Ben can be a backup, which is what he should be anyway.

Getting Gryba is a big body for the third D pair, I just hope they can get a legit #1 or #2 D during Free Agency. Unless there's another big trade brewing!

Finally some optimisim in Oil town!

A lot of interesting moves today just before the free agents frenzy starts on Canada day. One of my Canucks favorites gets reunited with R. Kesler as K. Bieksa was traded to the Ducks. VAN will certainly miss his gritty play, but the team does need newer blood and get younger next season.

Sharks finally get their stopper in Jones while the Hawks will definitely miss the services of B. Saad who was traded to the Jackets.

I'm just assuming the Hakws figured there was no way to keep Saad in FA. Still tough to see him go.

Why not just let somebody else overpay for Saad and then take the pics?

also, how about richards selling Oxy at the border.

Good question that many around here had yesterday. The prevailing mood I feel is that people don't get it but it's hard to argue right now considering where this franchise has gone in the last 6 years.

They couldnt get a two year bridge deal done. They will not be able to match the offer sheets and have a full team.

They did the right thing getting players instead of picks. They need the bodies.

Dan you are right. These guys have won Three cups in six years. They know what they do. They had to go through the same things after 2010 and it worked out just fine. I do not doubt you will see Toews hoist the Cup again at least one more time before this run is over.

Phil the "not so thrill' Kessel moves to the Pens in a big trade and I like the acquisition of A. Sekera for the Oils as they get a veteran that can log big minutes and bring some much needed experience to the blue line.

Flames also get some veteran help in M. Frolic to help their young dynamic duo, (Gaudreau-Monahan) not sure I would pay $5 million for his services though. Boy, that Pacific division is getting tougher and better.

Vader needs to update his sig line to quote Mike Richards instead of Marco Belcher.

Zachary Kassian has so much 'unproved' potential. He's still very young, he can skate, he can fight but he can also let everyone down with his untimely dumb penalties. Hope Kermit the Frog can get the best out of him XXXIV, because the potential is there and Habs need size up front.

Prust will replace the grittiness of Bieksa and help protect the Twins but in the end I would have given Kassian another chance. Management thought otherwise.
