I actually had to teach my wife how to clear the IE history and Google Search Bar so that I wouldn't keep ruining her gift surprises. I use the address bar drop-down quite a bit and also check history every now and again looking for a site I forgot to bookmark or something I want to get to quickly.

Yeah...you gotta get rid of that auto-complete stuff...it's the devil.

I turned off the auto complete in Google, it's just plain annoying to me. As for how she initially found out, she uses the history in IE for her own stuff all the time (why I do not know). I didn't even know she used it, but it's real easy to get to using the icon on the toolbar.

After my first offense, she now checks it (and apparently other areas) to see what I've been up to. Like I said, it's been months sice I've been anywhere, so I'm not sure how often she does this. Yes, it does tick me off to know she's snooping on me. I've NEVER cheated on her, and I'd consider online chats as cheating. Never done that, never want to. You guys are the closest I get to that

It also doesn't help that the first place she went for an opinion on this matter was Dr. Phil's site. As expected, he goes off on the whole industry in general, calling it degrading, and well, basically evil. Of course he's going to say that, because 95% of his audience is women, and that's what most of them watching Dr. Phil want to hear.

I already heard the "therapy" offer, to which I got very angry about. If this is grounds for therapy, then psychiatrists would be busier than lawyers and doctors combined.

I also cannot promise to never do it again. I mean, where is the line drawn? Am I breaking the promise if I catch a Shannon Tweed movie on HBO? If a spam email arrives with images attached? I think that is an unrealistic demand to make on any man.

Matt, does your wife have a problem with j/o in general or is it just doing it with p0rn that bothers her? My wife is really good about "taking care" of me in various ways when needed so I really don't look at p0rn that much. In fact, sometimes she isn't in the mood and she will just offer to take care of me only. We probably have intercourse as much as an average couple with 2 small children (in other words not often..lol) and then with a supplemental happy ending each week that pretty much tides me over. I really only resort to p0rn if my wife is totally not in the mood for anything and I am. Oh, and weekends...j/k.

Just a quick question fellas: Is there any correlation between this thread yesterday and the fact that there was no thread about meeting up on Live last night? I can't remember the last weekday where there wasn't a thread started trying to form a group of players for the night and yesterday there wasn't one that I saw. Did we all say too much?

I think everyone just got worked up and we had to hit all of the new sites that were mentioned previously. Exploration is great!

Hey MatthewK, good luck to you and the Mrs. Me and Mrs Trane are going through the same thing. She would find pieces of my porn here and there, and when she did, she always tossed it out. But lately, she did some major cleaning and found over 300 dvds and 200 magazines and some video tapes. To my surprise she didn't toss it out, but I think she has given in and realized that she can't stop me from being me.

I've always been triggered by porn and have never cheated in our 14 years of marriage and don't plan on it either. I Love her implicitly and exclusively and nothing can change that. I never got into the computer part of the porn industry(probably because I have not found the right chair to jack and surf at the same time and be comfortable).

But you all must find a common ground and go from there. Good Luck

If you don't want to use IE, get a newsgroup reader, there are no logs unless she opens the reader program!

I know this a very old thread but I did not want to start a new one. I remember reading this thread and laughing my ass off.

Folks, it happened, I got busted, my wife was on the pc and searching for a video or pic with my daughter of one of our past Christmases and umm....well lets just say I did not hide things deeply enough.

Now I'm in the doghouse, Boltman meet couch. *sigh*

LMAO. Sorry to hear the news Boltman. But, it could have been worse. It's not as if she caught you typing an email to some broad in another city. Next time, be more careful. My advice is to buy a Mac. They're bulletproof for that kind of uhhh material.

Talk about a blast from the past thread! Anyways, tough break... you should be able to play it off though, as long as you don't have a computer full of the stuff.

I would assume that most people run a modern OS that lets you have separate user accounts and file sharing to avoid such breaches of privacy.

You could always use it as sexual leverage: "Hey, honey, blow and plow me nightly, and I'll stay away from this stuff. You're better than any Internet porn."

:)

Take care,

I was doing a search for something else when I spotted this golden oldie of a thread. Given the tenseness of the politics threads, perhaps it will give us some ideas for cooling off :D

Bah! My history and search cache are filled with nothing but tax policy analysis and socialist doctrine websites. :)

My wife is a strong proponent of offshore drilling. We have an inflatable raft in our pool for that purpose. :)

Matt, I am sorry about that. I wasn't even thinking about that when I bumped this up. Just tried to lighten the mood a bit since the politics discussion was getting rather edgy.
