I blame DChaps. He got us playing Forza 5 so much that it kind tampered my need for a new racing game. I think Forza 6 is fantastic, but the racing bug isn't hitting me a ton right now. Maybe if I hadn't just burned myself out of Forza 5 I would be feeling it more. I like racing games, but I come and go with them. For a few weeks it might be all I do. For a few months I may not race at all.

But when I have wanted to race some, Forza 6 hits the spot perfectly, just as Forza 5 did. Honestly, Forza and Forza Horizon are just great games that compliment each other well. It doesn't mean that Project Cars or NFS is terrible, just that my need is being fulfilled just fine.

Driving the 70s and 80s race cars on tracks like Monza and Watkins Glen is about as good as it gets. The Can-Ams are my favorite at this point, so much torque and a really fun grip/handling balance.
I LOVE driving the new gift car, the failed NISMO front-wheel-drive Le Mans GT car. Snappy as hell on turn-in, but an understeering pig on corner exit. A tricky, fun handful to drive.

Agree. I'm not even close to finishing FH2, and it's fun to just jump in to that game every now and then and mess around, without worrying about tuning and what not. Right now, FH2 more than satisfies my racing itch.

Forza 6's sales are way down and I attribute that to partly to how hugely popular FH2 was. Most of us novice racers aren't too interested in tuning a certain car, and it takes a lot of time to understand the nuances of each particular car and track. The game itself also seems a dry for my tastes. I still enjoy firing it up, but not nearly as much as an arcade/sim.

FH2 IS awesome. It never gets old. I still haven't finished the full game 100 percent. This is the only game I should have done digital download because I will probably never sell it.

I tried driving it again last night, it is such a weird car. I just can't wrap my head around how to be quick in it though, calling it an understeering pig on corner exit is putting it nicely.

I finished the main line of the Stories of Motorsport career and am now working my way through some of the showcases. There are some really fun events in there, the Formula Fords are so much fun to drive and anything at Lime Rock is becoming a favorite.

And guys, Arie Luyendyk's 1990 Lola/Chevy is in today's car pack! That's awesome.

Initial impressions : man this game is fun. and challanging at the same time. I am an arcade racer but i am dominating on Medium default. The game told me to put the cpu drivers at above average but i'm still winning. some races have been close but i think i will need to go to the next level.

Some of these racers are intense. The sense of speed from these cars are unreal. I did one of those special races at night, it was 6 laps, after 3 laps i had to take a half hour break. Drink water, strech, it was that intense.

I lucked on the spins and got 1million coins. Now I can buy most of the cars in the races. I also got a beautiful red Mustang.

Good times w/ this game. Thanks again to PK for recommending.

Glad you're enjoying it, man. It is a tremendous game. So complete, so much variety.

Don't waste too much money buying cars. You'll get plenty through level-up spins. Spend more money on mod packs. They'll help you more in the short term.

Unfortunately I have been away from gaming for a couple months due to work, life, old-age, etc.... Man, I have missed some good stuff, especially with Forza. Today's content update has one of the "fixes" I have been hoping for and should give the game even longer life and allow for some pretty fun online if we could all ever get around to actually having a DSP Poker Night sometime. I had started doing a "review" of all the cars from DLC, but missed the Nov pack. Can't wait to give this one a try, particularly the Indy 500 winner. Awesome!! More 60's, 70s, 80's, and 90's Indycars please! The DLC for Forza 6 so far have been some of the best DLC yet for Forza series and not much rehashing at all.

http://www.forzamotorsport.net/en-us/ne ... ent_update
This month we lead off with a big feature that has been in demand from the Forza Community: the ability to choose car divisions when racing in Freeplay! With this content update, players can now choose from a variety of car divisions in Freeplay – for example 1970s GP, Modern GT, V8 Supercars, and so on – and then race against Drivatars driving those specific car types in your race.

The Mobil 1 Car Pack for Forza Motorsport 6 has arrived! This pack includes seven cars that offer completely different driving experiences. Whether you like to collect, paint, race, drift or just want to drool over every car’s detail in ForzaVistaTM, these cars satisfy on all fronts.

One of the most requested cars by the Forza community, the Koenigsegg One:1 offers speed and acceleration that most never knew was possible, while the 2016 Mercedes-AMG C 63 S Coupé showcases refinement and German engineering at its very best.

Indy 500 and IMSA Racing history are represented here as well in the 1990 Chevrolet #30 Douglas Shierson Racing Lola T90/00 and the 1991 Mazda #62 Mazda Motorsport RX-7, respectively. And that’s just the beginning for this jam-packed collection of cars.

Standard here. But I bought last month's car pack, with the current Mazda prototype.

I bought whatever the Ultimate Edition was--and then promptly played about 2 hours of it and haven't touched it since. I really need to try it again someday.

Picked this up earlier today. First Forza game I have owned and this was after spending a few hours with the demo. Probably would not have gotten this with the standard Xbox and controller. The Elite controller makes this game a joy to race so far....and I bought my first car already....which is ironically the car I currently own....a 2013 Chrysler 300 SRT.......very realistic driving model and this game nails it.

Just updated with VIP pass yesterday. Was surprised to see my actual real vehicle in the game a Chrysler 300 SRT8 only mine is a 2013 not a 2012 as the one in the game. Took it for a spin at one of the ovals (Talladega I think) and it was extremely realistic in looks, sound and driving model. Very cool!

Polo Red Car Pack - Jan 2016 DLC

Available later today for FM6.

Forza fans looking to deepen their garage now have seven more cars to choose from. The Ralph Lauren Polo Red Car Pack for Forza Motorsport 6 presents new and vintage cars that broaden the Career experience and offer more weapons to take to battle on the track.

The W Motors Lykan HyperSport’s outrageous lines and beastly performance turned heads in movie theaters this past spring and it heads off this cadre of new vehicles to collect, customize, and race. The remaining cars of the pack come from three different racing disciplines in addition to a trio of vintage classics from three different continents.

The Ralph Lauren Polo Red Car Pack is included at no additional cost to owners of the Forza Motorsport 6 Car Pass, which brings six car packs featuring seven cars each month. That’s 42 cars in total, all ready to be instantly added to your garage to customize, tune, and race! All other racers can purchase the pack separately for $6.99 or buy cars from the pack individually.

Note that this pack won't be usable until a content update is released for the game later today (typically just after 10am Pacific time).

New League - “Can-Am Connection" and chance to receive 1971 Ferrari #2 Ferrari Automobili 312 P

http://www.forzamotorsport.net/en-us/news/wir_12_18_15
New League: Exclusive Bonus Car!

As of today we’ve got a new League available in Forza 6 – the “Can-Am Connection,” a new weekly League that will run through the month of January. While a brand new League is exciting news by itself, this one’s extra special. That’s because players who finish in the top 50th percentile at the end of each week’s League will be sent an exclusive bonus car, the 1971 Ferrari #2 Ferrari Automobili 312 P! Note that players will only have a chance to win this exclusive car in January via Leagues. Good luck!

Here’s more on the 312 P:

1971 Ferrari #2 Ferrari Automobili 312 P
Dominating the 1972 Manufacturer’s World Championship and driven by such legends as Mario Andretti and Jacky Ickx, the 1971 Ferrari #2 Ferrari Automobili 312 P holds historic status in endurance racing. The car was developed in response to the FIA’s decision to limit engine displacement to three liters, down from five. Despite the belief the car used a further-developed F1 V12; it was powered by a horizontally opposed 12-cylinder boxer engine with twin overhead cams for each bank of cylinders. The boxer engine reduced the overall height, as well as the car’s center of gravity. Developing 440 bhp at 10,800 RPM and weighing in at just over 1,400 pounds, the 312 P had a formidable power-to-weight ratio of .316. The cars distinctive post-mounted rear-view mirror and wedge-scoop design set it apart from its contemporaries, just as pork chops and sideburns did with facial hair of the era.

I am digging the car pack being released tomorrow, headlined by the Ganassi/Ford Daytona Prototype. I'm looking forward to driving a Daytona Prototype, can't remember playing another game that had them (never bought the car in iRacing).

The 1990 IMSA Mercury Cougar XR7 is a very cool addition as well, always nice to see the collection of old GTO cars in the game growing.

There's also the Aztek...OK.

Thanks for the heads up Dave. Another nice surprise from Turn 10. Normally the DLC's are the first Tuesday of every month. Guess they wanted to get this one to us early before the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona.Nice!

With the racing season set to kick into full gear during this weekend’s Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona race, Forza fans now have a chance to get their own taste of endurance racing glory with the Alpinestars Car Pack for Forza Motorsport 6, available on Thursday, Jan. 28. Leading off the pack of seven cars is last year’s 24 Hours of Daytona winner, the 2015 Ford #02 Chip Ganassi Racing Riley Mk XXVI Daytona Prototype. The prototype will be fielded in this weekend’s race, which begins at 2 p.m. EST on Saturday, Jan. 30 and can be viewed live on Fox Sports 1 in the U.S.

The Alpinestars Car Pack features six additional cars, each with a unique pedigree all its own. From the 1990 Mercury #15 Whistler Radar Cougar XR-7 – also a competitor in Daytona 24 Hour events of years past – to the inimitable 2005 Pontiac Aztek (famous more for its fictional owner than its performance), this pack has something for every kind of car fan.

Forza Motorsport 6 is the only game where players can drive last year’s Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona winner on the recently remodeled Daytona International Speedway. To celebrate this, beginning on Jan. 28, Forza Motorsport 6 players will be able to compete in a special Rivals mode featuring the Ford Daytona Prototype on the Daytona Sports Car Circuit for a chance to win amazing Alpinestars prizes. See the full rules for more information.

The Alpinestars Car Pack is included at no additional cost to owners of the Forza Motorsport 6 Car Pass, which brings a new set of seven cars each month for six months. That’s 42 cars in total. If you don’t have the Car Pass, the pack can be purchased separately for $6.99. Cars can also be bought from the pack individually.

Thanks, Don. But why anyone would want to drive a sh*twagon DP is beyond me. Horrible race cars. Basically a NASCAR COT disguised as a prototype.

IMSA is entering a bright new era for GT racing this season, with Ford and Lamborghini joining GTLM and full GT3 spec in GTD. Next year will be even better when DPs are buried and P2 spec arrives as the standard in Prototype.

Rant over! :)
