No one is playing D between the Habs and Pens. 6-6 late in the third. Very entertaining.

Canucks have been in a funk lately with key injuries affecting the team. Kings have found their game lately and should be a good test tonight at the ROG.

The streak continues and then the OT win.

Unreal.

Hawks-Red Wings was playoff intensity from the opening gun. Great game.

Even though my team lost in SO it still was a great game to watch.

The Hawks are the real deal and barring multiple injuries (can you say "Red Wings" ) they are the definitely the odds on favorites to win the Stanley Cup this year (IMHO of course).

Hawks win again.

Toews with the shorthander to tie it in the third and then( would you believe it?) a carcillo with the winner with that EA last minute goal.

Looking magical.

Can we have the Toews HoF ceremony early?

I know it is a short season but its half over and the Hawks have gotten a point in every game and no regulation loses.

Seriously the NHL should be capitalizing on this more than they are. No one even remembers the lock out now and it's bringing all sorts of good attention to hockey.

I thought the same right after Carcillo scored last night.

This is an incredible streak that is getting underplayed by the media. That sad fact illustrates just how much ESPN drives the bus of all sports coverage in the U.S. ESPN doesn't have rights to the NHL, so it doesn't offer much coverage. ESPN doesn't base its news coverage on news value; it prioritizes according to the properties for which it has rights.

News is just another marketing and promotional vehicle for ESPN.

Brutal hit suffered by this Swiss player. Something similar to the one Richards got from Kaleta last week.

R Keller is now paralyzed, no place for this crap in hockey no matter which league.

Brutal. Brendan Shanahan probably would have suspended that guy for only five games, as there's still a strong Neanderthal faction in the NHL that considers that a "hockey play."

The league wants this type of hits to the head gone in the game. Late hit by Perry, and he's been suspended before.

Shanny, he deserves 4-5 games for that but I know you'll only give him 2.

Flush to the head, blindside, late, gratuitous, previous offender. I think he gets more than 2 for that.

I actually feel bad for Petry after shooting the puck in his own net earlier to help the Wings tie the game and then being deked out of his jock strap by Datsyuk:

About a month ago, everyone thought that Canucks would run away again in their division and finish 3rd overall in the west. As both Minny and VAN are fighting it off right now for first place in their division, I knew that the addition of Parise and Suter would give the Wild a big jolt despite their slow start at the beginning of the season.

Then Canucks ran into injuries, with both Kesler and Booth off again, Malhotra forced to retire, Kassian, Bieksa and the number one line led by the Sedin twins are feeling all the pressure to carry this team that all of the sudden lacks depth. The PP has been virtually non existent and it has cost them dearly so far in the season.

Although the D is supposed to be the strongest point, they've been struggling since day one and the tandem of Luongo and Schneider haven't been able to save games as they did in the past.

With the west standings jammed packed like a can of sardines, this is a crucial week for VAN playing 5 games in 7 nights to try to be squeeze in among the top 8.

Canucks continue to look more like a morgue these days as injuries pile up now with 6 regulars out but with some solid goaltending from C. Schneider this week they managed to get all their 3 road wins as they finished up a busy schedule. The PP continues to struggle however and with 3 AHL guys and some grit they manage to get by....for now. They definitely still need help in the middle and a couple of forwards.

As if the Pens are not deep enough, they got B. Morrow today, they'll be tough to beat.

That was a great comeback 34. Down 2-4 I thought they were down and over like pancakes but they they showed some grit and that kid Gallagher is a keeper.

Now, rumors are that the bad Bruins just got a bit deeper with the acquisition of Iggy who'll probably cost them a first rounder and a couple of prospects.

McGrattan-Bordeleau, great tilt between these two heavyweights, as the rookie didn't finch one bit.

Wow, the Pens actually take Iginla for a 1st rounder and prospects. Pens fans, can we hand you the Cup already? I am pretty sure Iggy will play along side Sid, the centreman he lacked all his 16 years in Calgary. Flames should have squeezed another draft pick.

Crosby healthy and having MVP season, 13 wins in a row, added 3 deadline acquisitions, and no Flyers to derail them in the playoffs ( :P ), who WON'T pick the Pens to win the cup this year?
