Re: Pro Evolution Soccer 2011
To be fair, gamestop will give you cash, whereas from my memory of the one time I did it, amazon will only give you credit, and further, that credit can only be used for games not for anything else at amazon. That's what turned me off, because for whatever pathological reason, I'm way too impatient to wait for shipping for any game, especially a new one on or near release day (or the weekend before thanks to the local mom & pop stores near me).
Re: Pro Evolution Soccer 2011
Gamestop has two trade-in prices; cash and store credit.
Not that the store credit trade-in price is very good, but if you want cash back they screw you even more with a price that's even 20% lower.

Gamestop is never fair.Zeppo wrote:To be fair, gamestop will give you cash, whereas from my memory of the one time I did it, amazon will only give you credit, and further, that credit can only be used for games not for anything else at amazon. The credit is in the form of a "gift certificate" and I could be wrong, but I thought you could use it for anything on their site?
Doesn't really matter to me though as I always end up buying another game.
Re: Pro Evolution Soccer 2011
In this modern age of the internet, Gamestop has become irrelevant. The only time I would ever consider using them is if I wanted a game I could no longer find. Other than that you can get much better deals from Amazon with release day UPS delivery for .99 cents.
I stopped using them when they no longer allowed me to return games I didn't like....errr sucked. I never abused the system and a buddy of mine used to work at the Gamestop I used to shop at, he would allow me to return those types of games. When that stopped it gave me NO reason to shop there anymore and for me it was like 22 miles out of my way.

I'm with you Rodster, I purchase all my games from Steam or Amazon.

"organic" gameplay that drew me to this series in the first place. Am I crazy in thinking that PES 11 could be the best iteration ever of this game?
Mizz....is there a deal with Amazon when you trade in FIFA? I would like to do the same thing you did.
Best ever? Of next gen i'd say yes. it's no Winning Eleven 9 though.

PES 2011 is on sale in less than 10 minutes both for the PS3 and 360. http://www.amazon.com/Outlet/b/ref=br_l ... ode=409566
Re: Pro Evolution Soccer 2011
Thanks Rodster! Decided to take the plunge at that price.

Re: Pro Evolution Soccer 2011
Hi guys,
I just downloaded the PC demo on my laptop. It's playable, but it's not quite as smooth as i'd like. Can anyone tell me if the retail version allows the user to change the graphic settings to improve performance?
