The third period between Canada-Norway is almost under way. A tentative nervous 1st period by the home team, a lot of guys are on their first world experience, Toews, Doughty and they ran into a strong goaltender. Second period they showed more hunger and were more physically involved. The San Jose line looks good so far.
Boy, this Russian team is pretty to watch. So much skills, finesse, speed. They should dispatch Latvia no problem. It's 2-0 in the 1st.
Team Canada looked good. After the initial nerves in the 1st period, they never panicked, played their game and once J. Iginla lit the first light, it seemed to have loosen up everyone else and the goals just kept coming.
Pronger was solid in D and the SJ line was dominant. Iginla and Crosby looked good together too. Once the game was out of reach in the third, coach Babcock just kept trying different line combinations, after all they all had just one day practice prior to tonight's game.
Team USA looked good against the Swiss. I was hoping they wouldn't stumble out of the box and they delivered. I only got a chance to see the 3rd period due to work. Oh how I would love to see a USA/Canada final! THAT would be awesome.

I've thought since day one they have been making that more of a story then it is. I seriously doubt she is hurt as bad as they are trying to make people think.
Makes for better drama.

Lindsey Vonn draws drooling dudes, and Shaun White forced every stoner in America to put down the bong and watch something other than "Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle."
Combine that, and you have a lot of eyeballs, some of those very bloodshot.

Every 4 years the same thing is made clear. The Olympics are awful sports (particularly the way NBC treats them), but excellent TV for the casual viewer.
