I am really glad to see them addressing this stuff, but I wonder if the AI will adapt to exploit my weaknesses? For instance, if the CPU has a strong advantage against my front seven, they should probably run the ball down my throat unless I find a way to stop them. Likewise, the CPU should stick to its strengths even if it doesn't have initial success. If the CPU controls the Titans, it should run Chris Johnson and Fat&Sloppy at me all day long unless it gets behind by more than a couple scores or has to score in a hurry.
Likewise, and this has been a big problem for the series for a while, dominant receivers should get the majority of the looks. Too often the CPU goes to the slot or even 4th receiver, instead of getting passes to their top receiver. A team like the Texans is going to feed the ball to Andre Johnson a lot. He might have a couple games a year where he is held in check, but most players of that caliber are going to haul in 5-7 passes game, if not more.
Still, it's interesting to read these updates. I do like the transparency of their programming process, and I really hope Madden 2010 comes out the way Ian and company hope it will.
