Shouldn't be running red lights on transport missions

Tonight I'm tackling that Millionaire's Challenge mission: 120 mile (or something like that) race, winner takes a cool million.

Very true, but after driving my Alfa around, I had to open up that Ford Shelby concept car when I had the chance. That momentary lapse of judgment probably ended up costing me $30,000...

Now that I have my own fast car, it shouldn't be too much of a problem :)

I'm not sure how this thing works. I traded codes with a guy from here. I then put in his code, my code, both our names and both our e-mail addresses. When I hit submit, it said his code had already been redeemed.

Someone else said that only one of you have to submit the info since they claim that both you and your friend will be e-mailed a token to use on the marketplace. So far, I have yet to receive the e-mail.
Yes, only one of the two friends inputs the info on the referral website. The info consists of names, email address, and code......for both people. Both people will get an email with a code in it for the two cars. Although if you used a hotmail or msn email you will have problems. PRBoom got his code but I still haven't gotten mine yet...I used a hotmail account.

I went to the Atari forums and the admin over there said that sometime today they will give out an email address for those that didn't get their code. So you will have to email them using the new email the admin gives out and they will look it up in their database and I guess send out the code again to you.
Well I actually used a gmail address. Are there problems with those too?

No problems that I know of with gmail.

I received mine at my gmail account. I didn't enter the information and I still received the e-mail. Only one person has to input the codes and e-mail addresses.

OK, I need someone to trade codes with. Turns out the person I originally traded with had a problem with his code so he never entered mine.

PM me your code, name, and e-mail address and I will reply with the same.

I think the invites show up in the news section in your house. I saw a join request in mine that I was able to reply to.

I still have a bunch of active invites out there that have not been replied to yet, but it will not let me resend them. Supposedly this is one thing they will fix, either by resending them or deleting them out so they can be resent. I know Terry and Zep are in that group. I think Web is too.

If I'm on your friends list though, go to a club and request to join that way. I'll see it in my inbox and can get you signed up from there.

Some other small details that I think are cool are the flashes of sun that glint off of far away cars, its a pretty realistic effect. Also the way the power lines sway in heavy winds is kind of neat, that usually happens when the dark clouds start rolling in.

I'm not sure why they don't have a short period of night in the game, I suppose they didn't want to penalize people who happen to be doing a challenge at night, so I can't fault them on that (plus the headlight effects might be too much for the system at this point). I do like that they at least have the sun start to set, then rise again, makes for some sweet views and still gives a feeling of the passage of time.

I'm on my 3rd house now, as I needed room for another car. Just got a cheap 4-car house, should be good for a little while at least. I also finally found the Ferrari tuning shop (on a small street that I must have passed a million times, but never actually drove down.) So now my "Magnum P.I." Ferrari is all suped up, and I've got my character in his Hawaiian shirt and 80's sunglasses. All I need is Rick, T.C., and Higgy-Baby and I'm good to go! (OK, it's not the 308 GTS like Magnum had, but it's the closest one I've found in the game.)

I still don't have an invite showing up anywhere Grant.

But tonight I should have my McLaren F1 GTR in my garage, baby! 1.5 million in earnings plunked down on one ride...I should have my head examined but it's my favorite car in real life as well.

I am probably at somewhat of a disadvantage to some people since I can't drive in any other mode but cockpit cam (harder to see upcoming corners it seems), but I can't get over how good it is.

Regarding that light reflection...how cool is it to see a car up ahead blinking a turn signal (or so you thought), only to realize it's the sun reflecting off the rear fender as they go through a shadow-lined road. Craziness.

I've found all the tuner shops, but still haven't found a paint shop...

In other racing games, I tend to go between the various camera angles depending on my mood, but in this one I don't leave cockpit either. I agree that its great, and the game simply plays better for me while using it.

I usually use the cockpit view unless I'm entertaining my kids by trying to find school buses and fire engines. :D

90% cockpit view here too! The only reason I deviate from it is to see the cars exterior and get a bit of a better graphical view of the environment which I feel I miss out on in the cockpit view.

What I do love about the cockpit view in this game is that I feel much more in control than with the other angles (which is a first for me). I can actually navigate the traffic MUCH better in the cockpit view.

Terry touched on the reflections and mistaking it for turn signals...but how cool is it that the traffic actually uses their turn signals!?!?! I watch the traffics turnning indicators like a freakin' hawk when blistering through the streets at 150+mph. Saved my a*s multiple times.

Yes. If you go home, and then to the buy/sell, I forget what it says. It takes you to a choice of buying cars, selling cars, etc. You have an option to Sell to other players (like the Auction House in WoW) or "sell now" for a little over half its value, usually. I think it's still down since a group of vegetable-minded idiots didn't figure out that placing a car up for sale, then selling the house that it was stored in would cause a problem. It's turned off until the patch corrects that, but you can still dump cars for SOME scratch in return. Either that, or just buy more houses, baby!

I didn't seem to have a club invite in my news/info area, but i went to the place and some of the guys on my friends list did show to be in the club (as opposed to the usual 'has never played TDU'), so I sent a request to join to Grant. We'll see.

Of course, in the news area there was an item that said my DSP challenge was over and I received $4k from the entry fees or whatever (I think it's 10% of the total prize, or something, I don't know), and then later, a new item showed up saying 'sorry your top time in the DSP etc. challenge has been beaten.' Seems like the news items may not show up in a timely way, or in the right order sometimes. Weird.

Oh and I couldn't find Web's DSP challeng in the drive-in list, so I don't know what's up with that (unless it's already over).

Theo, I did send an invite. I think Zeps way may be the way to go for now, to go to the club and request to join. I've only gotten one person in that way, but at least it did work. I'll hop on periodically tonight and check to see if anyones requests have shown up on my inbox.

I couldn't find the DSP challenge either. I think that there are still some quirks with the servers, I honestly don't think they expected this many people to jump onboard so quickly. They'll get it all sorted out eventually.

I have both the Camaro and the Firebird, and I think I like the Firebird better. That reflective metallic dashboard is groovy, and I can sing "East Bound and Down" while I'm driving it... (go ahead, name the movie!)

Thanks Gurantsu, got it. I also went to the club and requested to join. Are we planning on racing with tuned or untuned cars? Just curious.
