I thought the demo was quite entertaining. There are several runs you can go on, and it gives you the option of using the snow mobile as well. I don't think it screams next gen, but it sure looks perty. Everything just looks so crisp and clear.
What were the negatives of this game? I see a lot of positives.
I personnaly didnt have any real negatives about it. It was A LOT of fun and I got all the achievements but 2 and they were somewhat tiresome and not worth much. But I spent a good bit of time going back to every mountain that I missed challenges on (every mountain I missed some too) and I completed them all and it was FUN. I have since traded it it, but it was a good game that I had lots of fun with!
ScoopBrady wrote:It took me 3 1/2 hours to download the demo last night. I started it when I got home from work at 6:30 and it wasn't done until 10:00. I played through the demo and I really enjoyed it. I'm a big Tomb Raider fan but the last couple of games have been underwhelming. The demo showed a lot of potential.
I wish I knew what was going on with the download speeds for the demos though. Some demos only take me 20-30 minutes to download while a few have taken over 3 hours.
Hey Scoop, how are you connecting to the 360? Ethernet cord? Or are you wireless? If so, which wireless adapter are you using? The reason I asked is that I was using the wireless adapter that I used for my xbox, and the d/l's took forever, but I bought the one made especially for the 360 and connects through the usb port above the ethernet plug, and voila!!! no delays.
trane,
Since my 360 is about 5 feet away from my router I just plug directly in with a RJ-45. I don't have problems with all demos, usually they download in less than 45 minutes.
I am a patient boy.
I wait, I wait, I wait, I wait.
My time is water down a drain.
Adidas are sponsoring Microsoft, for one complete week of XBL gold for sliver users. This is a big deal, seeing Verizon only sponsored Microsoft for 2 days. Thats not the only thing Adidas are doing for gamers, they are also releasing free content over XBL, which will be available on the marketplace.
"The weeks starts on Monday, 8th of May at 08:01 GMT/09:01 CET and ends Monday 15th of May at 07:59 GMT / 08:59 CET. They are also promising that new free Marketplace content - trailers, demos and exclusive gamer pictures will be released each day, but the titles are yet to be announced. Don't forget that it is the E3 week though! So, what does Adidas have to do with this? Well, the week is of course about football, named "Xbox Live™ Football Free-For-All". It will give you a chance to play Fifa World Cup 2006, to win matches and end up as number #1 on the leaderboards (if you're good enough). If you're still number one on the 24th, you'll be qualified for the Xbox Cup in Germany this summer, and represent your country there. The silver Xbox Live membership will magically (and automatically) turn into a gold membership on the 8th, so you silver-players out there, start practicing and promise to be good when you'll go online and see how the Xbox 360 really is supposed to be used!"

I frigging cant find it!
Hit the big middle button on your controller. That will bring up another page with various options. Look for "personal settings", it's there, trust me. Then select "themes" from the list. You can then select from all your available themes.

Thank you so much Badgun, man that helps, I was starting to lose it.
UNO seems to be the most highly anticipated game period coming to the Marketplace. Anyone know when it's going to be available for download? Can't wait for multiplayer DSP fun.
I'll most likely purchase Pac-Man, Galaga, Paperboy, and Root Beer Tapper as well. These are great games for when my neices and nephews stop over and want to play the 360!
Also, from that website (xboxic.com) it appears there will be a 1GB demo download of Kameo and also a demo of PDZ that should be available today.
There is now an RSS feed for all E3 related announcements. Also, it looks like there will be a signifigant E3 presence on Marketplace.
"Xbox Live Marketplace is the environment that brings Xbox Live Arcade into the home. Besides being home to the newest trailers, demos, game content downloads, and more, it will also play host to some of the hottest downloads from E3 2006. "It is our goal to bring E3 home to Xbox Live members as best we can, all the videos and the news as quickly as possible," vowed Peter. "We will give you the flavor of what's going on, on the show floor and some of the stuff that we are showing and debuting here."
E3 will be a real test for Xbox Live because everyone will be tuned into their Xbox consoles and continually downloading new content. "If we can get through Halo® 2, which we did, then I think we can get through anything."
Xbox Live members should be able to play many of the demos that even the celebrities will be testing out at E3. Steven Spielberg tried out Call of Duty® 2 last year at the Microsoft booth, and Peter says he is sure Spielberg has E3 already marked on his calendar. The movie industry and the gaming industry are moving closer together as more and more games are developed based off of films."
So, as you all recall, a couple weeks back I hastily decided to trade in my 360 to Game Stop. Having buyers remorse, I repurchased it the next day. However, I was unable to get my original hard drive back as they had "supposedbly" already sent it back to MS to clear the account information. Thus, I have a new hard drive.
Fast forward to yesterday. I received an email confirmation from MS that stated the purchase of 1000 MS points. The value was $12.95. I certainly did not purchase the points. I called XBox customer service and they said they can not refund the points. Whatever, it wasn't a lot of money, but I am concerned someone has my credit card information.
I called my credit card company and they said it hadn't posted yet, but they would be happy to refund my money. They also said not to cancel the card just yet until the amount posts. Reluctantly, I said fine.
So, today I received another email confirmation from MS that someone purchased 500 MS points for one dollar. This leads me to believe some kid has my hard drive with the account information. Why would they just purchase MS points with the card? Also, can my account information be on two separate hard drives?
Anyways, I canceled the credit card this morning. However, what happens when I go to use a new credit card for renewing my Live account or purchasing a downloadable game? Will that information show up on the other hard drive as well?
Has anyone used the family settings on the 360? You can enter in a password. I set one up yesterday, but I'm wondering whether it'll ask me for it when I want to purchase something online? I'm assuming it would and according to the XBox customer support, it will but he didn't sound too convincing. I really wish MS would give us the option of calling in our purchases, because I hate the fact our account information is online. I realize only the last four digits of the credit card number is viewable, but your name and address is visible.
Anyways, I'm pissed and am really thinking of calling the Game Stop I dealt with and ask them what the hell happened with the hard drive I traded in. I'm sure they won't be able to give me any information.

Dan:
Too late now, but next time, format the HD before taking it back.
Very good point Javi. I should have definitely done that.
What's weird is that the points that have been purchased haven't been used to buy anything as far as I can tell. So, I'm wondering whether this individual is trying to use the points for his own gamertag if possible. Who knows.

Dan,
Using a new credit card will not put the info on the other hard drive so you are safe there. I'm curious how this guy was able to even purchase points with your info to begin with. Even bigger question...how did he even get your hard drive?
