Arshavin's strike for the second goal immediately reminded me of this. Spurs fans might prefer to abstain.

Probably just me. It was a while back, after all.

The shots on goal were 14 to 4 for Liverpool - that's right, 4 shots, 4 goals. Liverpool also had 12 corners to Arsenal's 0. Of course, end of the day the only stat that matters is we lost 2 points but again, amazing heart by Rafa's lads to come back 3 times in the game.
C'mon Portsmouth! (fingers and toes crossed, praying to every Deity known to man)

Comical defending by both sides - Arsenal's defenders played as if they'd only just met.
I was flicking between that and the Real Madrid vs Getafe game, which was again exciting, and contained this little gem from Pepe towards the end

Lord knows what ban he'll get for that, but it's not even the first time he's done it this season.
Just a shame that the clip doesn't show the full awfulness of the penalty, which would have given Getafe a 3-2 lead with 2 mins to go and 3 vital points to help them out of the relegation mire. Real then went down the other end and Higuian blasted a shot in from 20 yards to keep them right behind Barcelona.

Yeah, it'll really be to RM's benefit for their best CB to be banned while they are chasing Barcelona. He's a complete dimwit...and compared to some of the enforcers of the past, a big gutless buffoon as well.

And now he's got a 10 match ban and the title's off to Barca....he's certainly stupid enough to be a proper footballer.fsquid wrote:Pepe was simply being an enforcer. Proper Footballer.

Honestly, I resepct the hell out of Ryan Giggs. But this is seriously f***ed. There are at least 2 players on his own team who are more deserving and a half-dozen league wide.

Yeah - 12 games and 12 sub appearances....1 whole goal and 8 assists. Whoopee-f**in-do. Anyone actually remember him doing anything this year ?
And in the Premiership team as well....yet he's only started 35% of their games. Oh aye, no red blinkers there.

Reality is setting in for me. My new theme song when it comes to Newcastle:

Yeah, I know. You cats predicted this back in January. I'm now seeing the light, er, darkness.
P.S. to Dave T: I haven't forgotten our bet, mate. I'll pay up. Sorry!
Take care,
PK

Three of the Magpies' last five matches are against clubs in the top seven. Buh-bye, Prem.fsquid wrote:game in hand, not done yet. Although it would be fun to see them down on our level.

Stranger things have happened (usually for other teams when City were in need for themselves) - a win tonight would get you a fighting chance, as WBA are gone, and Hull and Boro both have almost no momentum. I think them 3 will get the drop.pk500 wrote:Three of the Magpies' last five matches are against clubs in the top seven. Buh-bye, Prem.fsquid wrote:game in hand, not done yet. Oh and even worse (or maybe not, depending on your views on this)
Klinsi's got the bin from Bayern...seems odd when you are only a few points off the top, but there you are.

Announced by K-H Rummenigge, which seems a bit rich that he's staying on if he was involved in the appointment.
