Folks are more than welcome to call my grapes sour, but honestly, I kinda hope I'm never shooting a 59 in this game.

I just got my CAG to 70 power and 60 putting (others avg mid 40s), and I kinda feel like I'm just now in the sweet spot for our tourneys. Scratch is fine, but I'm not sure I'd ever want to be that far plus. Right now I enjoy fighting to dip beneath that par line. If I get too crazy under that, and I have to start playing in hurricanes on icy grids to keep the numbers in line, I find it gets a bit silly.

Of course, I know these scores are being posted by some of the best guys playing the game right now, and my own skill-set will probably make repeated miniscule scores nothing I'm going to need to worry about!!!

Just curious but exactly how did you switch the camera view? I don't even see an option for it in setting up an online club.

Tim any word if they are going to at least add leader boards to the website. To say it was a painful process copying down all the people to a spreadsheet is an understatement.

Right now they are focused on the game patch...once completed, then they will have time to consider options like this.

I guess they're still in a state of flux, and they should be, with the Country Club software. Yesterday, "True View" was listed as a toggle option. I enabled it thinking it was going to give us something that looked more like the "True Aim" camera we get in career mode and online multiplayer..... wrong. Anyway, it's not there today as an option so I guess they realized they had something that wasn't working as advertised.

I really think True View is another name for the first person view that's offered with the Kinect and Move.

I also hope they get web based leaderboards working. It was advertised early on as a feature of Online Country Clubs.

Webdanzer, back to back 59's are something I never thought I'd do in this game. Heck, I just felt fortunate to post a +5 in one of the Dailies last week! These two scores were a result of a course setup that worked to my favor. I think fast and tournament speed greens will throw me off my game again, and I'll be back to shooting my more familiar pars :)

This. I don't want to ever shoot a score that is honestly impossible in real life. Right now, there's little chance that's going to happen, but when it has in the past, my interest in the game has waned quickly.

Forgive me if this has been covered but do you gain XP points when playing a CC match? Or is it only for when you play your 'career'?

I'm pretty sure you get them in everything in which you use your CAG.

I'll add a foot or two to the desired distance and slightly understroke, to keep me out of that "overswing" zone.
Congrats on your latest rounds JC. Now do me a favor. Can you just translate all that mambo jumbo into English so that I can learn how to putt properly. 8)

Not true. Only if the round you are playing has Pins enabled. Pins have not been enabled in any of the DSP CC events that I have played.

I never use any pins other than the XP pin that gives you 7 times the normal XP. Once my CAG is completed, I will stop using pins altogether.

I maybe confused, but I get XP points to apply to my golfer after any round I play; including DSP events.

I think Tim may be thinking of pins instead of XP.

Just put up a -2 69 in the daily at Scottsdale. I made 4 ridiculously stupid mistakes. Shoulda been at least a -6 but oh well. Damnit!

BTW, congrats to Divot for winning the Masters :)

I just had mine in the Daily at Scottsdale. I wasn't a world-beater, by any stretch of the imagination...but going from consistent +10s each round to flirting with being under par for most of the round (-3 on the day with a couple bogeys, a few birdies, etc.), and I felt much more comfortable.

What was my big "find"?

The setting for Club Distance

I was messing with the settings and noticed it was set to Carry Distance, not total club distance. This whole time I've been trying to calculate shots based on my marker thinking it was total distance. As soon as I changed it from carry to total distance, my game instantly improved. It's amazing how different it is when you're not trying to calculate carry distance...off of carry distance

And just to further discuss the last few posts above this one--I got XP for the round. I'm staring at the XP screen right now, so you definitely get XP on your CC rounds, even without bonus pins. We can't use the pins for the rounds, but the XP definitely counts.

My big find was adapting to always having a slow tempo. No matter what, my shots are going to have a slow tempo but now at least I have a better idea about how to adjust.

My round at Scottsdale was ridiculous, I might not putt that well again for months.

Man, did I blow that one...apologies to all. I was thinking of something else when I responded. You do get XP everytime you use your CAG.

I was a horrendous +5 at the first nine holes today when I just couldn't buy a putt if my life depended on it. Then, perhaps resigned that I was going to stink up the joint, things started to happen. I played inspirational golf by D. Chopra. The putter came alive and finished -2. I'll take it.

I was -4 through 10 holes at todays daily and feeling really good, then hit one in the woods on a par 5 and fell apart from there to finish +2.

Managed to finish with a +10 or 11 at East Lake in our DSP II CC. I think I was 16 of 18 for GIR but my putting was horrendous. 80% of the time I hit it WAY too hard. Then I get scarred and severely under hit it.

This to me is the biggest problem with the game. You can never really lag a putt to the hole and drop it in. I find I putt best when I hit it hard and if I miss, then I miss and just try and ram it from the other side.

Last night I had 3 good rounds putting, I won't say something clicked but I'm getting better. It's still not realistic putting experience in my opinion. In fact the only thing I like about playing with Kinect is the putting.

Disagree with your first statement. Keep working on it and you'll find you can lag it up and sometimes in. It just takes a lot of practice and concentration on the greens. Are you moving your target marker backward or forward depending on uphill or downhill slope? Even on even putts (no slope) with any kind of distance to them I'll shorten the marker up just a little bit and it's seemed to have helped with my putting. I seldom 3 putt anymore and when I do it's usually due to a lapse in concentration.

Yes I'm moving it but I find that I need to push the marker 5+ feet past the hole on any putt to make it.

If you set the marker and the knew if you pulled all the way back that is the distance the putt should travel (minus slope, green speed etc) that would be one thing. But if I pull the putter all the way back and I have it set short of the hole I can still end up 10 feet past and I find it to be more touchy to do it this way. I'd rather be by the hole and blast it.

Maybe I am wrong and the game works the way i think it doesn't. Meaning it I set my target marker at 8 feet and I pull all the way back and then forward my putt won't go 30 feet or whatever but that is not my experience.
