There's no doubt that the Canadian arenas will be filled eventually especially in the bigger markets like TOR, MON, and VAN. Every season I would attend to about 15 games not including playoffs where I would buy the tickets from my buddy who's a season holder.. But that won't happening anytime soon from me this time and my friend even as a season pass holder is also thinking of selling a chunk of his tickets online.

I will watch the 'Nuckers for sure on TV but they won't get my patronage of years' past no matter how sincere is their apology.

It would be a good way to get those newer fans who after this debacle have long forgotten about how great last years playoffs where. If its free at least some may stumble across hockey again while channel surfing looking for Martha Stuart nude cooking show.
Yep...our apology will be just in front of both blue lines in every rink..."Thank You Fans"
It should read: "We're F*cking Idiots, Fans, And You're Even Dumber To Accept This Apology."

Not unless Center Ice is STEEPLY discounted. There's no way I'm paying full boat to a league that puts its fans last. At least not this season.

It's going to take more than "We're Sorry, Fans" to win me back before the playoffs this year. The NHL can sit on an acid-tipped butt plug until April if it returns with a "business as usual" mantra.

Bryzgalov has started early.

He's like from the movie Cast Away. We need to buy some ball for him so he has best buddy Wilson.

Yeah, I just read this. Hopefully he is as sharp in net this season as his wit.

Hands up if when you read Bryz comments in your mind they're with a thick Yakov Smirnoff accent.

Wow, Brian Burke fired this morning. Didn't see this coming. Probably opened his mouth at the wrong time.

Lockout BS and all I'm starting to get excited to watch my Flyers.

That being said I almost threw up in my mouth when I saw Bettman's 'apology' today.

I am pumped that the season will be played. I love the sport and I will overlook the behavior of both sides because I don't think they can survive if fans don't. Not too thrilled about the Hawks opening against the champs on the champs pond though but it is better than no open at all. Game on!

I am getting excited too. Maybe they should always start in Jan with 50 games.

I think "cheeky" is the appropriate word for this shootout move in the KHL all-star game.

NHL Center Ice and NHL GameCenter Live both will be $49.99 each this season. Not a bad deal. A decent peace offering by the NHL.

I'm thinking of pulling trigger on NHL GameCenter Live to watch the Oil, simply because every game is guaranteed in HD, unlike Center Ice.

Naples, this one wasn't a KHL AS game but check this one out by Pavel Datsuyk. Is this guy sick or what?

The stream quality on NHL Gamecenter Live is pretty good?

I'd like to just do that this season, as I currently don't have cable and don't feel like paying about $100/month for digital cable+DVR+HD. Also watching on my iPad would be nice. Of course the blackout restrictions create another issue...

He's a Blues prospect but has said he won't be coming over unless the Blues guarantee him a full time gig in the NHL.

Like any Internet-based stream, I've read the quality of GameCenter feeds only is as good as your connection.

I'm pumped for Saturday vs Detroit. :)

Well, something is wrong in TPA when season tickets can be bought for just $200 and a day game ticket can be sold for only $7 bucks. Geez, that's how much I pay for my beer at Rogers arena alone.

Well, i'm still trying to be grumpy about this whole thing. NOt that I'm surprised, and maybe even a little disappointed, but as much as we hate Buttman, he was right.

12,000 at Winnipeg's first PRACTICE. I think 10,000 at Vancouvers. Thousands here in Ottawa........

I know most of this is probably the kids, and I get they are happy the NHL is back, but this just proves that the Owners and players can literally do anything they want to Canadian fans and we all come back like lemmings..........

Here in Philly the practice facility has been jam-packed. The players said the greeting they got taking the ice the first time felt like a home game. Tomorrow's practice is in the big arena, open to the public, and being webcasted. I wonder how many people will go and buy merchandise.

Clearly not irrational for Bettman and Fehr to presume the negative reactions caused by a delayed season could be ignored.

Why would Bettman worry about fan backlash? He sacrificed an ENTIRE SEASON just eight years ago, and fans responded by filling NHL coffers with record revenues.

Hockey fans are sheep, and Bettman knows it. That's why there will be yet another work stoppage when this new CBA comes up for renegotiation. The last three CBAs have expired without a new deal, resulting in lockouts -- 1994, 2004 and 2012.
