We can only hope - either that or the Police come to rearrest Redknapp, the crooked piece of slime.

Far bigger for Tottenham than for us. Our owners can invest £200m per annum long into the future, but Levy can't invest £160m for ever - it's win time now for them. Otherwise they are going to do an Everton.

In Twitcher-related news, City's lawyers are ready to get to work on the crooked tw*t...once Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs have finished with him.

And this was supposed to be their most important game for many years?

Like Dave said, I think it was a much more important game for Spurs since City will have cash no matter what, also with more time Mancini will make City better even without CL football (they've still attracted excellent players without it so far).

I kinda hope Spurs do an Everton and get knocked out in the CL Qualifying match next season! ;) It's a shame Redknapp manages them because Spurs do have a number of players I really enjoy like Crouch and Krancjar but it so difficult to support them with that cockney c*** on the sidelines. Bah!

Whatever, Liverpool are about to sell all their best players (all three of them) and declare bankruptcy so who cares about this football lark....ohmygod, I just realized they still have to play Hull this weekend - can we just phone the league and cancel?

Year 2 of a 5-year project. Retool for next season and move on.

Wonder if Redknapp will be the first person to manage a CL team from a category 'C' prison ?

Oh, and Macca, I don't think you can rely on City to bail Liverpool out by spending big on your big names..

Torres - definitely good enough, but I think he really wants to go to Spain.

Mascherano - poor season, don't think be a vast improvement over de Jong

Gerrard - too many ties to Liverpool gangland, that's why he didn't move to Chelsea.

So, onwards and upwards/

5 year plan? You don't spend that much and have a 5 year plan.

Good to see Roque Santa Cruz is still playing.

You do if you're trying to sell your fan base a bill of goods about being "different" from other nouveau riche comrades. :)

You do if you actually are planning to build a long term organisation rather than just buy anyone who happens to be available. Don't forget, these guys made enough money last year to fund 7 years worth of transfers at the current rate just by taking a position on Barclays Bank shares and holding it for 30 days - and that's ALL they did.

Also, the difference between City and the other 'nouveau riche' is the same as I told Macca yesterday - Spurs et al have to win now because they can't sustain the investment. City can, hence there's no end point in sight. Spurs will sink back into the s*** they came out of, and hopefully Redknapp will be a guest of Her Majesty. And White Hart Lane will be hit by an asteroid while Spurs are playing Man U.

Santa Cruz is another Hughes transfer that didn't work (see Bridge, W). Maybe we can swap him for a garden gnome or something.

The owners of City are people who know that Rome wasn't built in a day. City fans are coming to terms with that now, hence if you go on the various City forums, it's not slitting wrists and Mancini out.

Sky's cameras were whipping round the crowd last night showing kids upset because City were only going to come 5th. I'd rather be upset about that than dropping down to the third tier, as we did only 12 years ago.

Italy must be hard up for strikers - not been awestruck by him when seen him on the telly.

He's still figuring some things out. He'll have a great game or two, but the consistency isn't there yet. I'd still sell my left arm to have him play for the US, of course.

He's got a tattoo. That doesn't bode well for him being fully au fait with the very idea of a plan.

The chairman is pretty clear though - have a listen to his interview on the club site

It might seem vicious and petty - but I do wish that crooked c8nt the most extreme series of misfortunes that can be visualized. He's rotten from the arse upwards.

For those of you who'll never experience the joys of avoiding relegation on goal difference two days after being docked 3 points for a bloody stupid administrative error, a demonstration from Hartlepool's finest export:
