Just to throw in my two cents.........

I don't know about you guys, but ya, it's really easy to hit straight shots off the tee. But...... when i try to draw or fade? My accuracy with the stick goes down a ton..........

I try to hit draws whenever I can because of the extra distance......

And I'd like to think as my career progresses and I hit the PGA (and better attributes) there will be even more incentive to hit draws and fades, either becasue i have so much power now a straight shot becomes dangerous, or whatnot.

Ya, it's probably a bit TOO easy to hit it dead straight, but then again, i'm sure if I went and asked any golfer on the PGA to hit me a straight shot off the tee without trying to kill it, they would do it 99% of the time.

Does this suggestion make sense and seem fair?
It does to me... after reading about all the random freezes (thankfully I haven't been struck with one yet), I set today's Daily at Kiawah up with two tries and one submission.

Whoops... did I slip and forget to enable grids? My bad, it certainly wasn't intentional, I'm not a fan of gridless putting

I for one appreciate the new setting. Let's just remember the goodwill here at DSP and use honesty and integrity when playing our tournaments. The purpose for this is incase you get DC'd or freeze. Not to play again or start over if you blow a round out your ass. :-)

No worries!!! Most greens were pretty flat anyway. I was at +2 going to 18 then blew up on the 18th green, for a +6.

Did you all see our club has been moved up to the Professional status now? :D

I somehow pulled a -5 out of my fanny in this one, but I holed out twice for eagle, once on a par four. I had two three putts though, mostly due to my not being able to read a multiple break putt. Still, this was the best round of ball striking I've had in Tiger 13, even better than the 64 I had in the final round of the DSP CC Masters. This game is so much fun around the green... fun, but still occasionally humiliating :)

Yes, that's quite an accomplishment for us to only be this far into the game. How in the world we're ranked 68th among clubs is beyond me. It just goes to show that the emphasis for these "rankings" is mostly driven by amount of play, not necessarily quality of play.

Personally, I prefer a little mix in there. Grids are fine and dandy but every once in awhile I don't mind putting gridless to add the extra difficulty in the greens. Seemed to be cruising on even keel at today's daily until the last 4 holes. Had some glorious eagle chances only to putt for par. Ended up at +4.

Right now my cag can only hit 265 straight ........ I imagine most tour pros can go 280 + easy on a straight shot.

My CAG just shot a -1 in the first round of his first Nationwide Tour. I'm driving up to 280 straight down the fairway. I'm going to dwarf Tiger by the end of my first season.

And it looks like club tuning is no longer a feature. :-(

If you want to challenge yourself to hit straight shots, equip your clubs with extra stiff shafts, then try to hit normal tempo....whoa, it is far from easy!

Was the club tuner in TW 12? I'm really surprised to see it missing.

I do have to say the the swing mechanic and the meterless mode do make TW 13 a ton of fun.

The short play stills annoys me. What exactly does the aiming marker tell me? If I'm close, how do I judge the strength of my chip or pitch? It's gotten to whereI jut ignore it and try to use a slow backswing and slow stroke to pop the ball up on the green. But even that leaves me well short sometimes, and it keeps from actually aiming for the flag. But if I'm 150 yards away, I am setting up close to the pin nearly every time.

The club tuner was available in TW12 but to be honest it didn't worked for me as well as advertised. I like the introduction of hybrids as a real boost to the game this year, and the ability to change shaft and head type and even the ball to alter the characteristics of your game. With the tuner, I found that while your club may have improved in distance, you missed some in playability.

Also, to complete our silver CC objectives all we have left is to play 25 H2H in club matches. I believe we will earn more coins once we do this as well. If anyone ever wants to play and see me online just send a invite.

I've yet to get into any OCC H2H action yet because my Internet is just too unpredictable between 8 and 10:30pm MTN for some reason. It's good to go all day long so maybe next weekend. Also, I'll be missing a lot of the daily's and possibly the weekly this week as I'm headed to Vegas to unwind Wednesday afternoon.

I had a miserable 4th round shot like +31 or osmething.

It just occurred to me as I finished that I don't know how long the leaderboard stays up in game after the weekly is done. I am hoping it stays there until the next weekly is underway because it it doesn't this whole idea is fubar.

Just finished round 3, and was feeling pretty good about my round-nothing spectacular, but I was only about +4...and then I hit #15. Put too much on my second shot, and rolled into the second cut right at the lip of the creek. Okay, no big deal. But my short game sucks balls. So I thought I'd give it a little more oomph since I was in the tall. I did...and hit it over the damn green, right into the water. Crap. So I thought I'd better taper off the shot next time...water. Grr. Finally got the friggin thing on the green, and went +5 on the hole.

I love, and hate, putting...both for the same reason. Extreme finesse. Same with the short game. I think it's time I finally invest in a new controller, though, because these old sticks are just not 'tight' enough for fine control.

OK, I give up on trying to figure out tempo. What the hell should I be doing to get anything other than slow tempo on a drive? I really have no idea.

You have to move the stick forward very quickly to get anything more than Slow tempo.....Fast tempo is very difficult to achieve, but I get Normal tempo about 40-50% of the time. Be careful though, the higher tempo will have an impact on your shot results.....

Just finished the daily at Kaiwah.

Never, never, never, never, NEVER turn the green grids off again! There's simply no way to turn that into anything but a game of sheer luck on the greens.

There is a way to read the greens within the game...about as well as you would read a green in real life. But it is irrelevant if you aren't getting close on approach shots, couldn't agree more with you....
