Congrats PK! Nice to have the Toon back where they belong.
Doug,
I also checked out the Nou Camp a few years ago. Do you see their training facilities - oh my god, those fields were amazing. Forget grass, that's green velvet....
Yep, I worried that Newcastle might tumble like Leeds United did in the early 00s, although Leeds' money troubles were stiffer than Newcastle's. But thankfully it's one and done in the Championship!

Looks like PK might finally get to see Newcastle in person if he chooses. Red Bulls will be hosting a tourney with possibly Newcaste, an Italian team, and a Potugese Team.

if I could figure out how to post a picture to entice him, I would. PK, check my facebook page. I posted a couple of picks from the League opener last weekend. It's very nice inside.

I would LOVE to make a road trip to that if it doesn't clash with work or family commitments. That would be bad-ass!

Very nice pics, Zep! The stadium definitely has the mojo of a European venue, with the roof overhang.
I'd love to meet you and go to a match there. Might need to crash at your place, too, so I can get really sh*t-faced and give you a taste of my good, old days on XBL.

Yep those training facilities were gorgeous. The museum really was fascinating as well including the absolutely ungodly collection of silverware Barca sport.
Was a shame that I couldn't get to a game in Spain.
Best wishes,
Doug

That's a given, dude. I'm forever in the youth hostel travel mode, even seven weeks shy of my 45th birthday.

He's not bad. Too bad Argentina are coached by the village idiot/genius otherwise they'd be favourites for the World Cup.
Methinks Barcelona will have a wee bit tougher time against a non-pansy team in Inter. Not that I dislike Arsenal but they just showed Barcelona far too much respect.

Behind Brazil, Germany and Spain. Some of the goals he scored vs Arsenal were just pure genius. Unfortunately Argentina doesn't have an Iniesta or Xavi that can control the tempo of a game as well as those dudes can. Instead, everyone relies on Lionel's creativity to do so and he doesn't play his best in that position when he plays for the National team.
Good god he's outrageously good! He makes the same kinds of runs that Maradona used to turning defenders inside and out and generally making them look ridiculous.
Best wishes,
Doug
