Yeah, seen it. The general public knows ZERO about phones, so they could have done that with any phone and no one would know anything. Strange that all the Android sites thought it was the funniest thing ever.

I think I'll be preordering mine when I come back from this trip over the weekend. I currently have the 32GB iPhone 4 and just saw that the 64GB is only for $100 bucks more. Hmm. For the past couple of years, the iPhone has been more evolutionary than say revolutionary. They may lack the bells and whistles of customization but to me corporate emails is important not to mention the money I have spent with iTunes. Along my iPad and MacPro there's always something that keeps the family busy with the Apple products in this household and that won't change anytime soon.

Regarding the cosmetic look in the back, who cares if it looks like an unfinished product, I see 90% of the iPhones with a some sort of a cover, some ridiculously ugly :) but lately I've seen some pretty cool and thin cover designs.

Personally, I prefer it bare. Lol. Now all my iPhones have been in black color and recently I've been intrigued with the white. Any suggestions?

I'm stuck with my work iPhone 4S till early 2014. Hopefully Apple will have figured out how to do a phone that's closer to 4.5 inches by then and has at least 720p resolution.

The white actually looks better than the black. And clearly I care that it looks unfinished and you should too if you go naked w your phone like I do lol.

I much prefer the look of the new Touch. They did a fantastic job w that design even tho that wrist strap button thing is ridiculous.

It'll never happen. They will be at 4" for the next few years. They don't want to piss off the development community by changing resolutions for the second time so soon. Plus the bigger screens are kind of annoying from a usability standpoint. Difficult to one hand it. My only real complaint w my GS3.

I ordered one...for my buddy who's vacationing in Italy. LOL. 491 dollars for a 64gb SUBSIDIZED through Verizon! Insane.

Was surprised that the Verizon servers weren't jacked up last night at midnight when I ordered. They usually are terrible for new phone releases.

They want to tout their app. advantage but if they have to make the developers update their apps. for a new resolution, that advantage may disappear.

Have to admit I don't try to browse on iPhone. Apps. yes but not actually open web sites if I can. Screen and resolution aren't enough.

If you watch any videos, the white bezel/borders may be distracting.

Anyways, that's why I went with black iPad.

Funny you mention that...because that is the main reason I went with white on the iPod touch I had previously. The black on the screen doesn't match the black on the bezel and that is WAY more distracting to me than the contrast. With the last iteration of the Touch the retina screen wasn't as good as the iPhones (not IPS), so hopefully they've rectified that this time. I'm sure on the iPhone it isn't as noticeable because of the better quality screen.

Hilarious.
Complete genius. I'm as much an Apple fanboy as anybody but will be waiting before I take the plunge, besides my iPhone 4 just seems like so much unused/undiscovered potential.

I end up doing a fair bit of web browsing on my 4S (especially at FantasyFootballScout on the weekends) which is why I'd like to try a 4.2 - 4.5 inch phone.

So, I've been itching to upgrade my crappy '08 Omnia and was waiting for the I5 announcements before deciding between it and the Galaxy S3...

Part of my leaning toward IOS is because my wife has the 4 and my kids have iTouches so there is some synergy in the ecosystem.

After being underwhelmed by the announcement however, I'm leaning toward the S3 *except* now that I've waited I'm throwing in the wildcard of WP8.

Both the Nokia Lumia 920 and Samsung ATIV S look promising. Of course Windows App Store is woeful right now, but I think the core components of the platform are sharp.

Anyone else investigating these phones or are they a far cry from the big two in terms of mindshare?

Have you seen anyone with a Windows Phone 7? That should tell you all you need to know. They are severely lacking in quite a few areas. The Nokia is a fantastic phone from a build perspective, but Windows Phone 8 just isn't even close to the GS3/iPhone 5 in terms of functionality. It won't be for years.

I'll get a WP8 phone when one comes out...between the 920 and the new HTC 8X they announced last night, it's intriguing, and I want to give it a shot, but I've got very very low hopes for it...especially when it comes to marketshare. It just doesn't have the functionality I need (google app integration/syncing specifically).

 Yeah, there is that... And that certainly is my fundamental concern.

I'll be interested in hearing your thoughts when you get hands on with it. I'm leaning toward the Nokia myself. At this rate, I suppose I'll hold off until MS holds their press conference. While most of the info is out there, I'm interested in anything they've held close to the vest.

I'm not heavily invested in either IOS or Google, at the moment, sans some Google calendar stuff between my wife and I (that she uses via IOS anyhow :P ). And coming from my POS "smart" phone, I'm sure I'll be content whichever I choose this round.

Downloaded iOS 6 for my 4s but can't install it since update servers are swamped.

Typical for a update launch date.

I've got it downloaded and installed on my iPad 3. Umm...just more of the same with a few tweaks. I like the options in email when it comes to attachments and stuff, but it's still crap compared to Android's Gmail implementation as it should be really. Siri is a nice addition to iPads however but that's nothing new to iOS 5 iPhone owners. Location services are improved for sure.

Seems that it's a little less responsive to the Home button on my IPad 3 - anybody else finding it a bit sluggish?

I asked Siri for soccer scores on my upgraded iPad 3.

Only knew about MLS scores.

So much for Siri and sports.
