What the hell happened to his game, injuries?. Not too long ago he was considered one of the best at his position.

Injury, lack of confidence since then, some say lack of dedication.

It was a rather serious injury and yeah, he hasn't been the same since then. Not sure we should count him out yet, I thought the change of scenery would do him well but so far he's shown otherwise.

Pretty easily. There are worse misses than that on youtube from better players than Torres, e.g. David Silva.

2.5 million watched the Man U - Chelsea match on either FOX Soccer, FOX Deportes, or one of the tape delayed FOX network broadcasts. Dunno what I make of that number.

10 million watched Charlie Sheen get buried on 2 1/2 Men...so yeah. Bad news for soccer when two of the premier soccer clubs can't outdo a crappy comedy.

Actually it was more like 27 million, the largest audience for a sitcom since 2005, which was for Everyone Loves Raymond.

No accounting for taste.

ABC reaches more homes than Fox Sports soccer, which many people have to pay extra to get.

Diehard soccer fans would have watched the match live on one of those channels not everyone gets. Casual sports fans aren't going to watch a delayed broadcast on FOX that is going head to head with the NFL. I'm happy to see soccer get some coverage on a major network, but it's not going to perform amazingly well when it's not even live and it's going up against America's favorite sport. A more positive take would be that despite the aforementioned factors, an early season match that has little meaning given how dominant ManU is this year still garnered 2.5 million viewers in the US.

Newcastle United are still unbeaten, while Middlesbrough are 2nd in the Championship. Not a bad start for the north-east sides, as long as you pretend Sunderland don't exist. To top it all off, my beloved Hartlepool United are still unbeaten too after their best ever start to a season.

It'll only last until next Saturday, though. Right, Squiddy?

You're serious? "Two and A Half Men" has been one of the most popular TV comedies since "Friends" and "Seinfeld," and there was a ton of hype about Kutcher replacing Sheen.

English soccer pulling even one-quarter of that audience is solid in America.

Dead serious. It just goes to show how horrible everyone's taste is in America. Lol.

Michael Owen won't turn back on England
Good thing, too. He'd probably herniate a disc in the process...

I was wondering when they were going to start with the Owen for England talks. Guess they were too busy with the Hargreaves for England talks.

I would have shipped the miscreant to Buenos Aires last night. That's despicable. The dude earns $234,000 USD per week. Play, for f*ck's sake.

Saw this on another forum and loved it;

Unconfirmed reports suggest Bill Kenwright was on his hands and knees picking up all of the coins thrown at Craig Bellamy.
