In my league, he was a 'last second keeper' for me. I've got him locked for the next 3 years.dbdynsty25 wrote:I tried to pick him up but got out-waivered by someone.JackDog wrote:Why did I drop him? ...........That's why I never win our league.dbdynsty25 wrote: Yes...agreed. I love that kid.

An angry Ozzie tirade after a loss would be more entertaining than a Sox win if you ask me. HUGE fan of Ozzie right here.XXXIV wrote:I would love to tell you to go f*** yourself but at this point this statement is very accurate. They have been total crap. They cant hit worth a s*** nor can they hold a damn late inning lead.fletcher21 wrote:The White Sox are garbage
You know what?...f*** it....Fletch. Go f*** yourself.
I know I should be excited about the 5-1 Jays' start as they get ready for their home opener tomorrow. But I've seen this picture too many times. They'll come down to earth by June and blow some easy wins. At least they doing something they haven't done all year long last year. Coming back from behind.

And the JHey kid...leading the league in batting with runners in scoring position, has 12 rbis (7th in MLB and batting 7th no less) already and looks ridiculously comfortable in the bigs. So damn excited about this kid...even better than advertised.

Well that terrible Twins rotation is off a decent start so far. Baker, Slowey and Liriano all look like they're in for a solid year. Hell, even Pavano looks like he won't be a disaster.
The bullpen has depth, and if they can get anything close to the production they're getting out of Delmon Young and JJ Hardy they're going to win close to 95 games.

The sing-along songs'll be our scriptures.
No wonder I'm never moving back to South Jersey! Too bad it was just the dad and his kids. I'd have loved to seen him hand the girls off to his wife and beat the living s*** out of the scumbag. Now THAT would be a Phillies fan!dbdynsty25 wrote:Gotta love Philly fan...they do it again:

Very impressive start, I'll give them that. The Sox are definitely not pushovers, and the Twins made them their b*tch yesterday. I'll still wait til the all star break to see if this is a sign of things to come, though.Badger_Fan wrote:Well that terrible Twins rotation is off a decent start so far. Going to see him play tonight and Thursday afternoon. Go Twins!lexbur wrote:Shin-Soo Choo AL Player of the Week!!!
.579 (11/19), 3 HRs (one of them landed just two rows away from me at the home opener), 1 Grand Slam, 11 RBIs
Not a bad week!![]()
(Tribe's probably shopping him already.)

Oh, and I have yet to see a walkoff celebration better than what the Braves did. Nate hits the ball and as soon as he rounds first, the entire team goes down the tunnel to the locker room. He rounds third base and the entire team (coaches, bat boys, etc) are all gone...the dugout is completely empty. Nate just laughs and finds everyone in the tunnel. Awesome.
That was great!!dbdynsty25 wrote:Oh, and I have yet to see a walkoff celebration better than what the Braves did. Grab your glove and head out to that short right field porch when he comes up, the dude's locked in right now!![]()
(Of course, now that I said that watch him go 0-for-the series!)

Painful. Madson just is not the answer at closer. I'm tired of seeing him trying to challenge guys with his fastball when he has arguably the best changeup in baseball. Lidge needs to get his ass back.dbdynsty25 wrote:My man crush on Heyward continues to grow. Nothing like a game tying two out homer in the 9th allowing McClouth to finally do something this season in the 10th. That ones gotta sting for Philly fans. 1 down and like 17 to play so we've got a long way to go.

I've been to a lot of new ballparks. The architects of Target Field has taken something from all the good ones and incorporated them into the ballpark. The concourses and the big screen in left remind me of what I'll always call "The Jake". I watched the game from the Budweiser Roof Deck last night. That reminded me of what used to be the Coca Cola Pavilion at Turner Field. Center Field trees remind me of Coors.lexbur wrote:JackDog wrote:

Yeah, 0-for-4 with 3 Ks... it figures.
Slowey was tough.
Target Field looked awesome on TV.
The limestone looks fantastic and the views of Minneapolis are great. The Twins have a real ballpark now. We're moving to downtown Minny from St Paul in August. It will be about a 6 block walk to Target Field from our Apt building. YES!!!
