Yeah my memory is hazy but I think it works exactly like Da1.
I left clicked on a guy and he started attacking him. I could then click on any quick slotted ability.
I could also click on a quick slotted ability say Crushing blow and then click on a target. I could easily pause and switch to other party members and control their attacks. Only thing missing is the over head view.

Re: OT: Dragon Age: Origins
I just played like 30 hours of Dragon Age this past week, so if it's the same, I'll certainly be able to tell. That sounds identical, but I'll check it out after work and see for sure.
Re: OT: Dragon Age: Origins
Yep, it's identical. Right click starts the auto-attack and you have a lot more time to think. It's a no-brainer for me. PC all the way. I thought I might have been crazy and didn't actually NEED to hammer the A button to attack on 360, so I fired it up again and targeted an enemy and hit A once--he swung once and then stood there, so it's definitely different between PC and console.

I think I remember reading that they were keeping it the same on the PC but were going to change it up a little on the console to suit it better.

I don't want to prejudge this, but it sucks if you can't use the tactical approach on the console versions. I don't have a graphic card that can handle the PC version, and I definitely don't want to play Dynasty Warriors Origins.ScoopBrady wrote:I think I remember reading that they were keeping it the same on the PC but were going to change it up a little on the console to suit it better.
This also reminds me that I have to finish the first game. 50 hours in and I'm only about halfway done. Oh, to be 14 and have time for these kinds of games again.

Re: OT: Dragon Age: Origins
I thought the demo was OK in that the quicker speed didn't necessarily turn me off. The combat (360) seemed mostly similar other than that, but the graphical slowdown between scenes and transitions was fairly off-putting and hopefully limited to the demo. It also didn't really get me excited, but that's tough to expect from a demo of an RPG. I'll probably pick it up down the road as opposed to release day.
