Well, did you select tjung last somehow? Since he did not check in at registration deadline, I think if he was included in the draw, it needs to be redone.

HOWEVER, seeing as this kind of stroke of luck can ensure participation by one ex-pat member, perhaps what should happen is:

Anyone unhappy with his team assignment MUST post in this thread that you want to be included in the 2nd draw. As of 6pmEST tomorrow (thrusday), we need to know. At that time, Jared will set up a new draw for those who want a second option. Teams already accepted by members should be removed from this 2nd draw. Players in the 2nd draw will be assigned from their same group of teams as the first draw, minus those teams that have been accepted by their players. After this second draw, we all will get one more chance to redraw (even those who have accepted and bypassed this second round; an 11th hour extra reach for the gold ring. . . ).

tjung should be left out unless/until he responds that he is still in the league. At that time, and no earlier, he should enter the process. Real Madrid should be re-entered into the pool for those guys redrawing.

(Note that there is a small chance someone gets his same team in the scond draw; if that should happen, that player should be re-assigned right away.)

As for me, I want to go for the 2nd draw. Anything is better than Olympiakos.

Wait, so if we draw again, do HAVE to stick with the team we get on the second draw, or can we then choose between the first team we were drawn and the second? If that's the case, I would like to be included in the redraw.

I PM-ed tjung, but I haven't heard from him.

Unfortunately Arsenal is my favorite team, and the one I usually play with, so I am quite estatic with the draw. Hopefully your redraw will go well.

Well, this is a work in progress, and I'm trying to figure it out as we go. Originally, the idea was to make it a bit of a gamble. The only thing you are guaranteed is not getting that exact same team two draws in a row. We all get one more chance, a third draw, if we don't like the 2nd team, but maybe it's not such a bad idea to let folks choose one or the other, I don't know.

I say, let's go forward with the 2nd draw being a true gamble; if you choose to draw again, you are giving up the team you have now for the chance at something better.

If you don't like that 2nd team, there is a third draw. If after that we still have people really bummed about their team, I think we can work something out, but let's see what happens with the random draws.

Looks like everyone wants to redraw except for Jimmy, slimer, and db, no? What about bphilipb? Once we hear from him, you can go ahead and do the second draw. Tjung should not be in it, so he doesn't take a team out of the pool. Unless of course he chimes in that he is back in the league before you do the 2nd draw.

Still no word from tjung, huh? Oh well.

We still need to hear from Brian (bphilipb, bubbabal) as to whether he wants to stick with Bayern Munich or enter the 2nd draw, and we'll be good to go for draw #2.

I was just accepting my team if everyone else was...that's all. I didn't know virtually everyone was unhappy with their team. Get it?

Gotcha. The plan is to have 3 rounds of team-drawing, so that it's random-ish but no one gets really screwed with a team they hate.

So I guess we only have two who are standing pat, Jimmy and Slimer (maybe Jared? No one knows. . . .), and are waiting to hear from bubbaball before we do draw #2.

Brian:

You have the choice to go for a second draw or not, it's not a everyone or none kind of deal. If you want, you can keep the team you have now; if not, you go into the second draw.

Let us know which you prefer: sticking with Bayern or taking a chance in a new draw.
