Not if it’s priced at over $1200 as some are speculating.

i got a bad feeling this is going to end up like dreamcast for xbox. they're rushing this to the market while everyone will be waiting for PS6 in a year or so after this new xbox gets released. If they sell this for $1200 nobody will buy it when PS6 is waiting in the wings. And why not just get a high end PC for a little more?

But PS6 may sell for near $1000. I going to guess probably $800ish. The argument will be since a new iphone sells around $1000 and a gaming PC sells around $1500, you're getting a deal with PS6 being $799.99 or $899.99 etc...

I would NEVER buy a PS anything, so I'm definitely interested, although I have a great PC and can live off my XSX for many more years.

As someone who buys high end PC's a high end gaming PC is going to run between 3-4k not a little bit more than $1200. Hell high end graphics cards are more than $1200.

I have no idea the specs on this thing but I know plenty of people who own an Xbox and a Steam deck who would likely be interested in this and if it works with the digital distribution platforms like Steam, Epic, Gog and Ubiconnect that would be a big plus. If it only plays PC games off of game pass that would be a red flag.

I'm done with consoles so it doesn't really matter to me but I can see the PS6 being at least $800 if not more.

I get a sense that the traditional console is on it's last legs, unless your name is nintendo.

Agree about consoles, minus Nintendo. It's going to be a much harder sell for both the PS6 and next Xbox when the starting price will likely target $800 and up. With that said, I still prefer couch gaming to PC gaming, and I have a decent PC by today's standards.

It would definitely give me pause when considering whether to upgrade my graphics card or invest in a new console. I'd probably lean towards a console, especially if say the PS6 was a hybrid with a handheld included. But we're still a few years off I imagine.

I am much more a console gamer than PC. As in, I don't have a PC. I for one am in no rush for new console generations though. I believe the days of giant leaps in graphics and performance from one generation to the next are long in the rearview. I think the last time I was really blown away was jump to the Dreamcast and PS2.

I was so hyped up about Dreamcast back then that I heard the local mom and pop game store had one from Japan. I drove over there to see it and it was playing sega rally and I was amazed how it looked. I even remember saying to myself 'graphics will never get as good as this'. lol

The Series X will be the last video game machine I own. Gaming has become stale as f*ck, especially the console genre.

Maybe it's a me thing. But when the Series X becomes obsolete, I'm out of this hobby. It's been a good run -- 40+ years.

This is exactly why I went full PC a few years ago, aside from a few sports games I can play a wider variety of games on the PC then I ever could on the console. I guess my interest have changed in terms of the games I play as my reflexes have diminished :)

I've been playing through my steam backlog as well as some xbox play anywhere games on my Legion Go 2 - and even the Series X only games I play are being streamed to the LG2...I rarely turn on my Xbox anymore.

rumor has it that CFB27 will be on PC . Then the only sports game not on PC I would want a console for is MLB THE SHOW.

What's crazy is the show was on the PC at least through GamePass Cloud gaming and it worked flawless and they pulled the plug on it.

Same, kind of. Any Xbox games I play I'm streaming to my 100 inch Samsung TV.
