Not if it’s priced at over $1200 as some are speculating.

i got a bad feeling this is going to end up like dreamcast for xbox. they're rushing this to the market while everyone will be waiting for PS6 in a year or so after this new xbox gets released. If they sell this for $1200 nobody will buy it when PS6 is waiting in the wings. And why not just get a high end PC for a little more?

But PS6 may sell for near $1000. I going to guess probably $800ish. The argument will be since a new iphone sells around $1000 and a gaming PC sells around $1500, you're getting a deal with PS6 being $799.99 or $899.99 etc...

I would NEVER buy a PS anything, so I'm definitely interested, although I have a great PC and can live off my XSX for many more years.

As someone who buys high end PC's a high end gaming PC is going to run between 3-4k not a little bit more than $1200. Hell high end graphics cards are more than $1200.

I have no idea the specs on this thing but I know plenty of people who own an Xbox and a Steam deck who would likely be interested in this and if it works with the digital distribution platforms like Steam, Epic, Gog and Ubiconnect that would be a big plus. If it only plays PC games off of game pass that would be a red flag.

I'm done with consoles so it doesn't really matter to me but I can see the PS6 being at least $800 if not more.

I get a sense that the traditional console is on it's last legs, unless your name is nintendo.

Agree about consoles, minus Nintendo. It's going to be a much harder sell for both the PS6 and next Xbox when the starting price will likely target $800 and up. With that said, I still prefer couch gaming to PC gaming, and I have a decent PC by today's standards.

It would definitely give me pause when considering whether to upgrade my graphics card or invest in a new console. I'd probably lean towards a console, especially if say the PS6 was a hybrid with a handheld included. But we're still a few years off I imagine.

I am much more a console gamer than PC. As in, I don't have a PC. I for one am in no rush for new console generations though. I believe the days of giant leaps in graphics and performance from one generation to the next are long in the rearview. I think the last time I was really blown away was jump to the Dreamcast and PS2.

I was so hyped up about Dreamcast back then that I heard the local mom and pop game store had one from Japan. I drove over there to see it and it was playing sega rally and I was amazed how it looked. I even remember saying to myself 'graphics will never get as good as this'. lol
