NHL 95 brings back so many memories playing with friends over winter break during my college years. At the time, the game felt so authentic. Great times.

I was in college when sports talk baseball came out and while we were playing in the dorms, everyone was like OMG, this is amazing. I can't believe the players look like their real life counterparts. this is cutting edge. lol

Interesting blast from the past.

I think NHL 94 is the general consensus for best hockey game from that era, is it not?

I played a lot of Madden, Joe Montana Sports Talk Football, Sega Sports NFL 95, and Prime Time NFL

EA Sports PGA Tour and European Tour were good golf games back in the day, too!

Best part is there is an update to NHL '94 with all of the 2025 teams/players. It's so damn fun to play an updated version. It has a few game engine tweaks as well but if you didn't play them side by side, you probably wouldn't be able to tell. It's by far the best rom hack I've played. Now they just need to do the same with Bill Walsh College Football '95.

I'm pretty sure I've linked it before but if anyone else is curious that has an emulation machine for the '94 update:

Do you just download this and it is set to play or do I need a previous version of the game?

You just need an emulation device that runs the roms. It’s fully patched already once you download it.

NHL '94 was definitely the best, came into mind as soon as I read the title of the thread!

Bill Walsh College Football was another favorite of mine. Good memories!
