Been playing quite a bit of Stardew Valley lately on my Switch 2. Nice way to unwind after a long day, and I don't have to worry about getting too stressed from a game. Can't believe how much this this one guy, who produced this game has continually updated it over the years. Absolutely amazing. This game makes very excited for the Haunted Chocolatier, whenever that should release.

I see this on ps plus but never tried it because it looks like an nes game. But will try it out.sportdan30 wrote: Tue Oct 14, 2025 2:41 pm Been playing quite a bit of Stardew Valley lately on my Switch 2. It's definitely a slower paced game. A farm sim, mixed in with specific goals such as tool and home upgrades, light cave combat and exploring, relationship building, etc. You play the game at your own speed. There's a lot of townsfolk you meet and help along the way. For me, I need a game like this in my life right now.Lancer wrote: Wed Oct 15, 2025 1:58 pmI see this on ps plus but never tried it because it looks like an nes game. some new good games on the sub services today
PS5 plus - Silent HIll 2, Until Dawn. 2 I've always wanted to play. VRising looks good, another horror inspirted game. Poppy playtime, As Dusk Falls, Wizard w/ a gun.
XBOX gamepass - Day 1 release Ninja Gaiden 4. never played this series. Always heard good things about it. Seems like a type of game I'd like.

Ball X Pit. Absolute perfect handheld game and very addicting. You can also play it on the PC and consoles. $15 is a steal for this game!
EDIT: Steam has a demo. Definitely worth checking out.

One thing I'm struggling with with these adventure games is finishing. I am having a hard time just sticking w/ one game for the entire story. I'm so use to sports games having a clear and definite ending in a relative short amount of time. But these other games that require you to take hours and hours to play I am just getting tired of.
I'll quit maybe 1/3 way through and start a new game and same thing happens. Maybe i'll come back to it but feel like these non-sports games are too long to finish.

That's why I usually wait for a steep discount on these kind of games. Perfect example is Ghost of Yotei. Haven't bought it yet, because I know what a time suck that game is.Lancer wrote: Wed Oct 29, 2025 4:40 pm One thing I'm struggling with with these adventure games is finishing. Agree 100 percent. I think it's due to the sugar rush of online play, at least with shooters for me.Lancer wrote: Wed Oct 29, 2025 4:40 pm One thing I'm struggling with with these adventure games is finishing. I don't have the patience to finish an offline game, especially if it's a slog, when I can just log on and play online for good fun.

Yeah, I'm trying to dig back into The Outer Worlds (the first one) because I want to get OW 2 at some point. I didn't even know they had an XSX upgrade with improved visuals and 60fps. (Spacer's Choice Edition) I forgot how beautiful this game is.
