I haven't played this series in a couple of years. I was just curious as to why they charge us VC to play when they're not rewarding any. It makes no sense.

The winner should be getting the VC from all the entries for that day's tournament. That's how it has worked in the past.

Oh, maybe it is? I haven't paid that close attention I guess. I'd rather it just be free and no payout, but it's not that big of a deal.

In day 2 of the weekly at TPC Sawgrass I had the round of my life, starting birdie, albatross, birdie, birdie, birdie.

On the backside I had 5 more birdies and an eagle as my putting was off the charts.

I thought my 2nd round was good starting with 7 straight birdies, only hit 3 more the rest of the rd.

I'm not, however you did give me a good reminder that playing with the 3 click approach would be the way to go on the Steam Deck.

Im a bit surprised how much I like this game. It wasn't really on my list of games to get. Just sort of got it out of boredom since there wasn't any new sports games to play and reading impressions here in this thread.

But now I try to at least complete one daily tourney in the game. The game can be hard but still sort of relaxing to play. Even if I'm not doing well score wise.

It's one game I feel the online portion is fair for casual players vs other games where you have to be a top player to even compete online.

on reddit they say it's called keyboard controls. i dont know how but that's one cheating tactic ppl are saying for the -50 scores

That's one method and for some they may not even know it is cheating as it is just their controller.

I'm enjoying the game but there is no way to eliminate the people who want to shoot these scores which makes online tournaments and societies pretty worthless which is the main selling point of this game.

I played a round with 3 click it is much more enjoyable and not as easy as one would think but it is horrible for putting and chips shots. Too bad their is no way to individually set shots / putts and chip shot controls.

I was looking around at the stats in our Society this morning and noticed I didn’t get credited with my albatross during round 2 of our weekly. No biggie, just bummed to see it not there ha.

I’ve never had a hole in 1 in a gold game that I can remember and that was certainly my only albatross ever. At least I have the replay saved lol

So there is a long thread on reddit that confirms PC cheating is abundant in PGA 2K25.

One method they describe is called 'Cronos Zen'. I have no idea what that is but I guess its a box you plug into the PC Controller/Mouse and it reads some kind of program. Someone went ahead and tried it and they were hitting shots right next to the hole even on par 5's.

Another cheating method is called screen edge but I dont know what that is.

If you're on console then you got no shot for the online ranked tourneys.

If I was shooting double digit negative scores, like -23 on 18 holes I wouldn't even be interested in playing the game anymore so I'm right there with you I don't get it.

Triple bogeyed the 2nd par 5 on the final round of this week's tourney. Using my driver "off the deck" trying to get there in 2, I pulled it just enough, combined with the high winds, to put it the water. My drop was in some deep nasty ish I couldn't get out of very well. Made up for it a little bit with an eagle on 18, but the damage was done at that point. I believe Leadfoot was too far out in front.

Quick question I know the game is multi platform my question is does the Society include Steam? My reason for asking is with Geforce Now and the Ultimate setup which is 19.99 a month I can play any Steam game. Would rather go that route than buy a new system now with a new coming in 2027. For the record I played a few games today and smooth as butter.

My PC copy is from Steam and I can play in the society events and come in last
