eFootball
A demo is available.
Er....It's called New Football Game. Sounds like it's simply to test the servers and an announcement will officially be made on 7/21.

Re: PES 2022
My guess is that they will use the Unreal Engine 5.

Whether Konami’s goal is to get closer to EA and gather more interest in their product, this will be an interesting move, if true.

Re: PES 2022
Really enjoying playing a Master League in PES 2021 Season Update. The approach of fine-tuning PES 2020 really worked out well IMO. Will check out that 2022 demo.

Re: eFootball
It'll be interesting to see how it pans out. I'm hoping it's not the beginning of the end for offline play. If the idea is that you can download and pay for the game modes that interest you, such as Master League, that'd be fine by me.
Re: eFootball
Stick a fork in this series because it looks like it is over. Wow !

Re: eFootball
Definitely worrying. And a shame, because PES 2021 Season Update was a great soccer game, my favorite in recent years along with FIFA 19.Rodster wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 11:39 amStick a fork in this series because it looks like it is over. Wow !

Re: eFootball
Agreed! FIFA 19 Was terrific! Great graphics and gameplay. I dont know why EA always dumbs the graphics down in the next releases like 20/21. Also 19 was the last game to have FUT Offline seasons.rhymes450 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 5:02 pmDefinitely worrying. I enjoyed PES 21 as well. The Euro addition was fun and I am glad its still available on gamepass. It also plays real well on XCloud.
Re: eFootball
This game is dogshit. It’s like ps2 graphics. I’m not kidding.
Rendering of everything takes like 3 seconds to load.
Pixelated mess.
EA must be LOL.

Re: eFootball
From all the comments and impressions i’ve read this is quickly turning into NBA Live for Konami and maybe that’s being disrespectful to NBA Live.

A bit of a sample of the graphical glitches spotted so far.

Re: eFootball
I couldn't play more than 10 minutes of the demo yesterday. What an absolute disaster! Controls are crap and graphically it looks like a PS3 game. How in the world did the game go from a fairly realistic and playable game last year to this? Seriously??
Re: eFootball
You know I saw screenshots of this turd and maybe just maybe I thought to myself people might be exaggerating just a little when they said it looks like a PS2 game. Nope, this game is in an Alpha version state. The graphics are pretty close to PS2 levels. Jaggies galore, faces don't have much detail, the grass looks like something out of Winning Eleven on the PS2. Then I zoomed out and used the Blimp and Fanview camera. The game was running at probably 20 FPS. It was chugging and stuttering.
Konami should be ashamed of themselves for releasing this on the public even if it's free. Konami has literally one upped NBA Live by making the worst sports title EVER. I would not give Konami 10 cents for DLC. There is no way in hell this game gets properly fixed before eFootball 2023 gets released and based on what I have seen, I have my doubts this series ever makes another appearance. It's that bad.

Re: eFootball
Won't be able to download the update till Saturday. Anybody checked it out?
Re: eFootball
I hadn't played this before, but heard about the updates and downloaded it.
Ok - there are obviously glaring omissions...At the moment, if you want to play offline (which I stick to always) then only a 5 minute trial game is available? Master League coming I think?
But - am I crazy for thinking this game is actually quite good? I've played only 4 games but there are a BUNCH of immediate things that I enjoy far more than FIFA (which I really can't stick to this year):
1. Pace of play - I'm finding it quite realistic....lots of space in the middle of the pitch. Easy to work the ball around. In FIFA, I find they leave the middle open but then any time you get the ball in to feet within 35 yrds, the AI is on you like glue. In Efootball, the space is consistent and it's a pleasure of pick apart defenses.
2. AI Attacking - My biggest gripe with FIFA is that the AI seems to play unrealistically on offense...always looking for short crosses instead of shooting from various angles, making interesting runs etc. Seeing more of this here so far!
Overall, it certainly has an bare bones feel - but I kinda like the authentic gameplay. Certainly less of the pre-determined animations that you see in FIFA.
I would certainly pay to have Masters League etc...
Quite the nice surprise so far! Maybe I'm jumping the gun and the flaws will expose themselves soon..but for now, I like it.

Re: eFootball
Downloaded the efootball 2023 update today (29 GB...phew) and played an offline match on Regular difficulty. Thought it was pretty enjoyable. Still no offline modes, bar friendlies. Apparently Master League is going to be available in 2023, by which time I'm not sure if people will still remember PES.

Re: eFootball
The free version has a world cup mode which I find very fun to play.
It's called International cup but it can be played offline in their card game.
You use real teams and have to get thru challenges that the real national teams play.
It's not as good as their Euro game but its still fun for offline gaming.
