I'm not exactly sure what all this "preview invite" stuff is for but I feel left out.

Can I get an invite as well and see what it's all about? Are there limited amounts?

Invite sent, may take a day or so to show up in your messages.

You just get the new system updates a few months sooner, sort of like a beta tester. The only downside is that it seems like I get updates (and have to wait for download and install) almost every week.

So after getting the email and downloading the preview app is there supposed to be a download or something? I really didn't see anything happen.

I think in one of the tabs in the app I had to accept their terms and then it said it would take up to 72 hours for them to send the update, it took about a day and a half.

Hmm I think that is the issue because after the app downloaded I didn't see a way to start it so I thought it was a back ground thing. I'll need to try and find it tonight.

Thanks to Vader I actually completed the process and then last night my console downloaded an update and my dash board looks exactly the same. What should I be seeing if anything? Really I just want to try out the backwards compatibility.

If you go to the games section of the Games and Apps (i think that's what it is called) app you should be able to scroll all the way to the right and see any of the games you own digitally that are backwards compatible. install it from there and you should be good to go. i installed perfect dark and have had no issues with backwards compatibility

You missed out on the more fun preview updates, when there big changes and features added. Most of these are under the hood, now. As Scoop said, you can find the games you own digitally and install them now.

You should also take the time to boot up the Preview app, and go through some of their "Quests" and such. They use those to get feedback on how well stuff is implemented and to get ideas on how it can be improved.

Hopefully we will get the new dashboard sooner than later.
