I've been thinking of going that route, with the EA sports deal at TRU this week, but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

That's where I bought mine on Monday, got Madden 15 on the Xbone and only played one game of it and have played probably 20 games of NHL Live the Life mode so far. No basketball puck makes a world of a difference, no over the top hits and the AI defense plays a lot better than it did last year. So far the single player game is more fun than it ever has been in my opinion and if they wouldn't mess with any further tuner updates I'd be happy playing this until next years game comes out.

My wallet will hate you, but I may just pick it up with XB1 FIFA. Thanks for the info.

I am actually enjoying the overall gameplay quite a bit in HUT games. It's the limited modes and full price that pisses people off.

I think the gameplay is pretty weak on the defensive end, too. EA still hasn't fixed the horrific AI of your CPU teammates in the defensive zone.

The CPU team almost always has three men back in the zone. Meanwhile, my center roams all over the place even when I'm forechecking with a wing, leaving my defensemen alone and vulnerable to man-up breaks. And when I do stop the rush, my CPU-controlled forwards and defensemen are absolutely lost in their zone.

NHL 15 shows improved AI in the offensive zone. But it's still piss-poor in the defensive zone, which only exacerbates the lack of value of this game, with its missing modes. This game isn't worth $30, let alone $60.

It's the horrid game play that pisses me off. It's NHL Hitz with one timer slap shots for goals from the CPU teams and nothing you can do about it because your defense is horrible. There are no stat displays, no "let's go Blues", no hats on the ice for a hat trick, no passing a puck off the boards, no way to make a pass soft or hard depending on how long you hold the trigger.. and the list goes on and on.

No doubt, when you're mainly an offline player and you're missing crucial features that were your bread and butter and it's been missing since day one despite their prompt calls to proceed with quick patches in order to fix things and they haven't it just plain sucks.

Not justifying whatsoever that this game is worth the dough that they are charging, but I haven't touched any other mode other than online HUT games where I have been having very tight games while exploring different strategies. This is not to say that everything is hanki dori while playing HUT but I assume the suspicious AI, the missing features, the lack of three stars are less noticeable than when playing against the CPU.

I need to see you all actually take the ice together and find people to play before I cross the line.

I am determined to avoid giving a single cent to these ea scumbags til they at least pretend they care about their life long customers.

That's a good point. Can anyone scout the OTP Lobbies? Or the availability of club teams?

Seriously? Over 2K15? Or do you want both hoop games?

nope just one hoop game for me. Seems to be a lot of issues with 2K15 from what I'm reading and honestly...2K15 is probably to sim for my tastes especially when it comes to hoop games.......my favorite hoop game has always been NBA Jam  Of course I'll wait for the reviews on Live15 first before purchasing. I think you Xboners get access to it next week.

So, I buckled...the TRU deal drew me in.

Got Last-gen NHL to satisfy this year's hockey fix and will have to wait a year for next-gen

Could have got next-gen with the deal, but deferred to the better FIFA as I'd indicated earlier.

Terrible night for me to get it as I've got an *early* day tomorrow but I'll see if I can squeeze in some time at some point.
