Seriously contemplating about it. I have a 1TB Western Digital lying around and I guess it needs a SATA storage to hook up to the X1. Easy addition?

I remember one of the funniest modes that we played in the game called 'Infected'. Hope it's still there.

Yep, it looks like some of us who pre-ordered, and pre-loaded the digital download are getting the screwjob. The Turn 10 forums are blowin up with people with similar problems to us. I am having the same issue, although I can see several friends playing right now.

I am on the East Coast, Ultimate Edition, everything pre-loaded, purchased through MS Store. Still says "Unavailable", and like others have mentioned, if I view it in the store it shows me the price as if I never purchased, however, in the queue it shows everything as pre-purchased and unavailable. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just damn......

What version did you get? Was it a digital pre-order? How is it so far? :)

I got on at 9:45 PST...bought the game, and it's downloading now. No problems on my end. I guess pre-ordering doesn't help.

Pre-ordered, was able to play just before 2am CT, which was pretty much when I figured it would release.

So far, so great.

I got the Ultimate Edition, and yeah, digital pre-order. So far it's everything we've seen in the previews and reviews, total goodness. The one thing I didn't see mentioned anywhere is how great it "feels" to drive with the controller. The feedback is unlike any game before it, so I'm really enjoying that aspect of the experience.

The only negative is that I couldn't figure out how to access the 15 or so cars I got with the Ultimate Edition. But I was enjoying the Ferrari I got with the first race against the Italian Air Force it really wasn't that big of a deal. Will be on again tonight after the playoff games....

I pre-purchased their ultimate edition the day the demo released and I was still locked out at 10:30PM when I gave up and went to bed. Instead, I got up an hour early and played it a bit before work, but that's probably the last time I try to do one of their digital downloads to play early.

I WILL say that it's the first use of the Kinect that I've actually found helpful. "Anna, nearest event" without having to go to a map or something really helps. I don't use the Kinect for anything at all, but I had plugged it in to ATTEMPT to use Forza 5's head tracking (which sucked), so this is the first time in almost a year that I'm glad I have the Kinect.

Also, they actually included a configuration that allows look left and right on the paddle shifters of my wheel, which is handy in the cockpit cam. Games of infected won't be nearly as tough from internal view anymore. Since I have the Thrustmaster TH8A shifter that connects directly to the wheel itself, I don't need the paddles for anything anyway--but the flip side of that is that I don't have a rewind button when I use that config.

Still so strange that in this day and age they don't just let you map whatever you want to any button you want. Why give us 5 preset configs to force our hand?

Yeah, same here. I pre-ordered/pre-downloaded the Ultimate Edition and I am now finally able to get into the game. However,, no VIP, no double rewards, no loyalty cars, No launch day car pack, no tier rewards (i'm tier 6). Spent $90 so I could have everything immediately from the get go. Oh well, not the end of the world, but definitely frustrating. I want to support digital download as I have been enjoying it on Steam for years. It needs to work better than this though.
We're aware of the issues some users are having with their VIP status. Our team is investigating right now and we thank you for your patience whilst we resolve the issue.

Agreed. That is an annoying limitation that does not make sense to me for consoles, but seems to be the norm.

This dinosaur drove to the Microsoft Store during lunch break to pick up my FH2 pre-order. I went with the standard Day One Edition.

For my trouble I got a $10 gift card, a Forza Horizon T-shirt and a USB car charger.

Does the MSN store offer gifts when you buy? There is finally one near me.

For Forza Horizon 2 they promoted free gift bags for at least the first 25 to pick up the game today. My store was giving the T-shirts instead. Nice quality shirt too. At lunch time there was still a box full.

In the past they have had some nice giveaways to generate traffic. Like $25 gift cards for taking the Bing Challenge, which took about 2 minutes. If there's a MS "event", like a Windows product or software launch they are handing out gift cards.

Right now they are offering $10 gift cards on almost all game pre-orders. Of course you don't get the card until you pick up the game.

Hi Folks,

Thanks to everyone who let us know they are having issues with VIP in Horizon 2. We are aware of the issue and are actively working on a solution. Once I have more to share with you on the timeline, will. Thanks for your patience.

The car packs are identified as purchased in the Horizon marketplace, but they're not available in my garage. Is there something else that I need to do to activate them somehow?

Also, this starts out so much more linear than the first. At some point does it open up or do they expect you to just keep moving from roadtrip to roadtrip?
