I am having a love/hate relationship with this game. I get disconnects and freezes every time I play this game. I have yet to play a full 18 holes without having that happen at least once. At least it always allows me to resume where I left off, unlike any of the TW games. When it is playing smoothly, it is really fun yet challenging.

I can't for the life of me figure out how to see the final results of the tournament I setup. I am sure these guys will get it all figured out, but the stats during the scoring in the couple rounds I did play seemd wonky. Oh how I wish you could just see the results online. I would love to see the scorecard for each player for all four rounds. I also noticed that while I no longer even see the tournament I created in any lists, including the "My Played" section, it did allow me to resume my Round 2 where I had a disconnect on Friday. This was like 2 days after the tournament was expired. I am curious to see if it would actually let me finish it out.

Really fun game when it is working, but still alot of things to work out. For the price it is definitely worth it.

I wanted to try and create a 4 week tour starting today, where you will have a week to play four rounds. One tournamenet a week, for a quick DSP Championship that would end Oct. 5. Anyone have recommendations for 4 courses to use?

I don't think either of the problems you're describing are going to be fully sorted out until the first patch is released for the XB1, probably about two weeks from today. I know when I go to play the XB1 version now, I always perform a cold reboot of my XB1 before playing. It seems to give me a much better chance of getting a more playable frame rate AND make the game play more reliably.

For courses, I'd recommend Twin Oak Islands Links Golf Club (links theme), Ballyntyne National Golf Club - Membership, and for a course that plays at a fluid framerate, while looking good and playing a good golf challenge - Autumn Ridge G.C. There's a ton of good courses out there, but some of them are unplayable due to frame rate hits.

I just set a tourney for PS4 owners called DSP Golfers. It has three courses, two 18 holes including Ballyntyne and Twin Oaks as suggested by John and a nine hole course. You have ten days to play it, see ya all on the course.

So something weird happened today. I'm on Xbox, and when I tried to play the tourney through the tourney menu, it said it was expired. But then later on, it said Diablo was live playing a round in the tournment, so it let me joined in and play a round?

How could Diablo play a round if it was expired, and moreso how could I have joined but not gotten in myself????

Hmm, it should be under tournaments, private and then search DSP. I'll check again when I get a chance.

Check the create competition tab, then sort under 'Published'. The terminology maybe different when I created the tournament.

Pretty sure I found it under public in "Tours"... I just typed in DSP and there it was. I had one of the worst rounds I've played in days at Twin Oak Island - three four putt greens, one of which was from 7 feet  That Long Pond Par 3 course is very well designed though and quite a looker at that!

Long Pond Par 3 is my favorite short course. If you don't focus, it can okay tricks on you. Merace mentioned to me that there's two DSP tourneys now. If so, I maybe have edited something by mistake and added a fourth course when Diablo couldn't find the tourney.

So let's stick to the DSP Golfers one and not the 'New' one.

If you guys see some gamertags that don't recognize is because I invited some dudes from the HB forum.

I've played all 3 rounds and never once saw another name on the leaderboard, during the round(s) and after. I'll go back and look this morning, but somethings sounds amiss here with this :?

Ok, I see that Merace already mentioned that this is a bug they are looking into. I finished the 3 rounds at -2 or -3. Got my first eagle too on a nice backspin approach into the hole.

I got a little confused and I'm playing in both DSP Tours (DSP Golfers and New DSP Golfers). I like my scoring better in New DSP Golfers.

Yeah, when Diablo couldn't find the DSP tourney I went back to tweak a couple of things include adding a fourth course and when I saved it I was hoping that it would override the original one but it saved as 'New DSP Golfers'. But since it sounds that not all golfers scores are shown with other friends, let's just post it here. I only had time to play the Long Pond par 3 and shot a +2.

Will get to finish the other courses when I get back in town, you're still good until next Tuesday. For now, let's just try to finish the original DSP Golfers Tour with the 3 courses and if you have the time by any means play the new one.

Congrats on the eagle Lead, it's such a good feeling to see your ball backspin close to the hole never mind making it.

Thanks! I saved the video clip and was able to post it to my Facebook page, but haven't figured out out to put it somewhere else so I can share it...

I guess I'll have to start the "Tour" over again... none of my scores are showing even on my system. I finished the three rounds at -2. When I selected "Advance", the game put me on the first tee at Long Pond. This type of thing is one of the issues that's supposedly being corrected by the "patch", which is currently projected to be about two weeks away.

As for the first "update", where new features will be added... I think you guys are going to be amazed. I'm not stretching the truth when I tell you that I'm going to be more stoked for the release of update #1 (I'm guestimating that it's about 6 to 8 weeks out) than I was the original game. Wish I could say more, but I promised I'd keep my yap shut about it until all is official 8)

I'd be content with an update that reduced pop-in and increased frame-rate. The fact that my PS4 fan blows at full speed only for this game tells me something's not optimized as well as it could be.

Yeah, mine does to and it does point to a lack of optimization. They've mentioned that optimization is in the future for the PC version, and they're also just now implementing the new SDK with the aim of eventually achieving 900p on the XB1 version. However, I've seen no mention of optimization for the PS4 version :? Something clearly happened between March 15th, when the Executive Producer had this to say in a Gamepur interiew:

Gamepur: Is the Resolution/FPS figure 1080p/60, at which The Golf Club will run on PS4 and Xbox One? If YES, can you please provide us the details?

Anthony: That’s the aim, we’re running in 1080p at the moment but not quite at 60fps. I don’t think we have an actual hard figure for FPS its more about getting to a point where it feels right. I was reading an article the other day that the human brain can’t tell the difference between 50fps and 60fps anyway so as long as it feels right I’ll be happy.

Most of the time, even the PS4 version of this game is struggling to maintain 30-35 fps. If that's "nearing" 60 fps, I need to be advised as to the new definition of "nearing". I think something happened in terms of detail between then and now. It could be argued that they weren't foreseeing the demands that user created courses would be putting on their engine, but there are at least a half-dozen official and recommended courses that are unplayable to me due to lagging frame rates.

Is anyone else with the Xbox One expericing extremely fequent disconnects? I am seeing it more and more over the last week. Last night I was just trying to setup a new tournamnet (did they change this interface by the way?), and I finally gave up after the 4th time I was disconnected in the middle of trying to set it up. When I lose connection, the only way back in is to go back out to the main Xbox One Menu, phyiscally log out of Xbox Live, which I am still actively connected to, and then log back into The Golf Club. Very frustrating. A couple nights ago I did finally make it through an entire 18 without a disconnect or freeze, but it was about 3:00am EDT. I have deleted the game completely off the One, and re-downloaded twice now.

I haven't experienced many disconnects at all, but haven't played the last 4-5 days. Pretty much resigned to wait for the patch. I fired it up last night to work on some pitching, and had no problems, except for the swing lag.
