I am actually really excited for Madden and I can't remember the last time I was. All the videos look good to me, fatigue was working in all of them. I like the new game prep stuff. I know going in penalties still don't work but with all the videos out the game looks good.

Imagine if NFL went ahead and started flagging certain penalties a lot more frequently than in previous seasons.

Madden has never got PI or holding right.

Been watching HD videos of it on youtube. I'm not getting the hype. Doesn't appear to look discernably different from the 360...just not a huge wow factor there. Maybe I'm not seeing something.

You're definitely nuts if you think that 15 looks the same on PS4/XB1 as it does on 360. I don't know what Youtube videos you've been watching, but that's crazy. 8O That is, if you're saying it looks the same as Madden 25 on 360. I haven't even seen anything on this year's version on that console.

Gameplay cam, it's still going to look like football, but a Youtube video is obviously going to compress that some. Lighting is vastly superior, textures on everything are much higher res, the celebrations all being in real-time instead of cut scenes. I don't know, I can't even figure out how I would consider them the same. We can just throw in the first screenshot they released, which every post-play camera captures pretty well, and it looks like the newer image. And that's PS4-to-PS4 on Madden 25 to Madden 15, not even trying to compare to 360.

I dunno...those videos were of Madden 15, and I never saw an image that looked as good as that. It was HD, too. Outside of the 'purdy' factor, though...it's still just Madden, isn't it?

Okay, I just watched an IGN one, and that one looked way better. Probably just the video feed.

Yeah, that was my thought. The true 1080p videos I've seen (that weren't upscaled compressed video) look fabulous. But it's still going to look awfully similar from gameplay cameras. You'll also see the real cameras and styles that the NFL uses in its between-play stuff, since they hired an NFL films guy this year to cover all of that, and did away with scripted cut scenes (according to them, who knows how much of that is true).

They always had the camera locations before, but not how to cut the action from the real angles and whatnot, according to an interview I read somewhere.

Either way, it LOOKS worlds better, and they are bragging about how much better their defensive AI is, and the fact that they finally have inaccurate QB passes in the game. I saw a video where I guy threw the same route like 5 times and the pass was in different places each time. That alone would be a huge upgrade from previous versions. Of course, I also saw him throw a ball when his arm got hit for a perfect spiral 10 yards down field, and it should have been a duck and in the dirt, but whatever.

Dome games don't look as good as outside, sun shining games for some reason.

I'm pumped to.. but I'm still playing NCAA 14 so I hope Madden can draw me away from NCAA.. it never has before.

I'm like 70-30 in favor of getting Madden 15. I haven't bought a Madden game in (I think) 2 years. The one thing that actually has me excited (other than the grfx and presentation) is the new defensive cam. THAT looks totally new and should make playing "D" a lot more fun. I'll be DLing it with EA Access early so I should be able to make a decisive with that time with the game.

Looks like a 6am EST Release. 9am PST. Timer begins when you load the game.

Like if you only play for two hours, then go do something else for four hours, you are hosed?

Nope, EA confirmed on Twitter that the timer stops when you quit the game.

PS. Remember, on Next Gen consoles the games run in the background unless you actually quit them...ie. I've been playing The Golf Club and watching the LLWS back and forth. When I goto TV the game is still running in the background. I'm guessing the "EA Timer" will be running in the background in that case.

I think when people say the game looks the same, they aren't talking talking about graphics but I think the experience of the game itself. The game experience in madden hasn't really changed much last gen. Some years they get it more exciting but I tend to get bored w/ the game quick at least the most of the iterations on last gen. The gameplay tends to lean on the boring side for me.

For m15 next gen, I did get excited how the night time games looked. The lighting at night games is one strong point w/ the Madden people.

Yep you can definitely tell a game plays identical by looking at youtube videos. 8O

Last years game was much better than the past in terms of game play if they improvements they are talking about really work then this year will be even better. It's still not at the level of sim I want but there are some nice additions on paper. I'll find out in a week, not going to give EA $4.99 for 6 hours, I'll go play diablo 3 instead.

Honestly, if the fatigue works, that will sell me. Every year I have to manually control RB carry counts by subbing in and out guys since fatigue is always borked.

Yep. Add these things.

- You can miss a field goal
- QB's miss their targets
- defensive player lock.

The game is nearly installed. If you have early access, go to The Vault, and then switch the filter from Vault to All Games. I found it at around 10:30am CST. I would have missed it had I not just randomly changed the filter. For all I know, it was there at midnight last night.

Because people would complain that EA wasted their data usage :)
