It's out. I'm watching Mix play PS Golf right now. Running very smooth.
Yep, and super easy to do. Just say "Xbox Broadcast" and it snaps the twitch app to the side. Then I just had to pick if I wanted the camera and mic on. Don't know how often I'll use it but it couldn't have been much easier.

Good review Macca. I must admit that so far I have been enjoying the Multiplayer modes especially on co-op. Fun, fun stuff trying to overcome the ten hurdles while killing the zombies and trying to reach Dave's car. Agreed about the lack of maps particularly on this mode, I did have server issues the first week or so but it's been much better now. The co=op with some DSP'ers would be awesome.

I too am having a lot of fun with Plants v Zombies Garden Warfare. More than I expected. I'd be up for some co-op or versus anytime.

Free DLC for PvZ Garden Warfare today!!!

DLC includes a new game mode where Plants and Zombies fight to capture the Garden Gnome (bomb) and then get it to one of 3 points where it detonates. Also a new map, new characters, class abilities and customization.

I'll be playing tonight.

Virtual headset coming to the PS4.

I did read today that MS too is also looking to bring their own virtual headset at some point as well.

Didn't get it for XB1, but I got it for PS4. Played it for a few hours and beat the main mission and some of the side missions. It's surprisingly fun, and at $30, whether it's worth it or not will depend on how much time you get out of "normal" games. There are about 4 or 5 side missions and challenge scenarios you can run through, but you're not going to get more than 1 or 2 nights out of the game. For me, I barely get 3 or 4 nights out of most single player full-priced games, so I don't think it's a ripoff.

It's sort of a concerning practice, though. Almost like they charge for a really big demo, which could be something the industry starts trying to do. Funnel more revenue back into the developer and consumers end up buying games twice...one for some "early demo" version like this, and once for full retail.

Finally got a chance to update my controllers to work with my own headphones and what a freakin' disaster that was. I'm seriously about ready to dump the damn XB1. So I follow the instructions, update my two controllers, but now NEITHER of them work at all...they won't sync w/ the system, won't do anything. I reboot the XB1 multiple times, re-sync the controllers, everything. Nothing is working. I literally had to pull the plug on the back of the system to get them to work again.

Every damn time I have to do something software related on this turd, I have an issue. And it's not like I'm a technology newbie or anything, their sh*t is just half assed. If the wife wasn't using the Kinect workout stuff, I'd have sold it off already. But who am I to prevent the wife from working out. I'll pay 500 bucks for that. :)

Titanfall is just sitting on my desk. I really cannot decide if I want to bother to open it or just return it when Infamous comes out next week.

Titanfall is unopened on my desk, too....weird. But mostly because when I was setting up the new PC, I think I jostled a cable so my XB1 won't turn on. I have to dig around back there and trace power cables and find out if it's loose or something. And I've just had zero desire to do it for a week.

But you're getting Infamous next week? I'm picking that sucker up in 2 days, when it releases!

I've updated both controllers I have with no issues. I also haven't seen any re sports like the. Updating the controllers could not have been more straight forward.

I hope you don't give up on it, because your XB1 rants are really adorable.

Well, yeah...I'll get it eventually, just am working a ton over the next few days, so I'll get it as soon as I can. I'll probably just return Titanfall for it. I just don't have any interest in turning on the XB1...Aristo's wishes be damned. Rayman and Forza are enough for now I suppose.

I've been playing the same damn 2 games for the last 3 months on next gen. I've gone back to my 360 to play NHL 13 now. Damn that game is good.

I never played the Infamous series. Is this PS4 game supposed to deliver the same experience as the PS3 games?

Also didnt know MGS was out. 30 bucks not too bad for a try. Is it FPS or third person shooter?

Hmm is it a coincidence that the two guys the most negative on the XB1 are having the most issues, perhaps they are spying with the Kinect :)

Pretty much the only game I want and it's likely a 2015 release.

Infamous Second Son reviews are all in - from what I can remember:

Destructoid: 9.5
Joystiq: 4.5/5
IGN: 8.7
Gameinformer: 8.5
Gamespot: 8
Eurogamer: 7

Mostly very good...which I was expecting. I think if you loved the originals, you will absolutely love this version. Seems like everything that made the last ones great has been pushed to the next level - graphically and gameplay wise.

The morality stuff looks very outdated, but I'm not too concerned about it - the story is certainly secondary in a game like this. As long as the characters are well acted and drama is invoked properly, I'm happy.

I've never played an Infamous game. Everyone likes it I suppose. Is there any other game comparable?

As for MGS - is that like Syphon Filter on the PS1 days? sort of like a stealth game?

If I'm one of the two guys in that statement, no. Negativity starts with the UI they decided to use, and the fact that every game that I purchased for both systems looks far worse on XB1 than it does on PS4. I don't have issues with the box itself. The "problem" of it not turning on is guaranteed to be something I did in the mess of cables I have for 4 TV's, 4 consoles, 2 computers, 2 switches, etc--it's not like I sit around pissing on the Xbox One or anything any chance I get. Matter of fact, I've refrained from posting ANYTHING regarding the console on this site anymore if at all possible.

I know for a fact that games on both systems that I purchased looked worse. That's all I personally cared about. They'll probably get better and closer, and I didn't buy Tomb Raider on both systems to compare, so it could be a launch window issue. But I'm not going to go back and test every game that comes out on both systems when that initial reaction was so clear. I don't like a lot of the things they did with the UI and Kinect, but I've gotten used to all of that crap and don't care either way anymore.

I play my PS4 a lot more than XBox 1 because I've done what I was going to do with the exclusives on XB1 already, and there's nothing pulling me back there yet. Obviously Titanfall wasn't the one to do it, either, because it's a week and a half so far without having the pull to even open it.

Can't think of a direct comparable to Infamous - but it's basically an open world superhero game. The freedom of movement is really what made me a fan of the series. I've never played Crackdown, but maybe it's a bit like that in terms of the vertical nature?

MGS in indeed a stealth game, but with some flexibility if you really want to go in guns blazing. In my mind, the high degree of polish is what has made this game worth playing in the past - just amazing production values, along with a quirkiness that many appreciate and many will hate. I've found it to control a little clunky in the past, but I hear this version is a much more fluid experience. Personally, I'm waiting for the full game to release in 2015. I should have enough to keep me busy.

Thanks for the feedback on both of those games. I will probably get both next week then. I'm in a gaming drought on the PS4 so anything new is a plus at this point.

The easiest comparison for Infamous would be Just Cause. Quite similar really, just different types of super-powers.
