FIFA, eh? How many extra controllers are you getting?

From Naughty Dog studio regarding a game they're working on.....
“If I said anything about what we’re doing right now it wouldn’t be exciting,” he teased. “The PS4 is awesome. It gives us the chance to do a lot of things that we’ve been talking about for some time. You’ll be in awe when you play it.”
I'm with ya. It's going to take some time for sure, but once Infamous: Second Son releases, along with Watch Dogs, Metal Gear, Naughty Dog Game, The Show, us PS4 owners will be no doubt pleased. I'd love to pick up an Xbox One for Forza at launch, but I think I'm staying a one-console guy for now due to time constraints.
You picking up a Vita? Can't wait to try remote play with NBA2K14. Only thing I'm not sure of is if the Vita can be used as a second controller for it.
No, I don't think I'll purchase a Vita at this time. Great little device, but I don't see myself playing it often enough when I'd rather play the PS4 on the big screen. Selfishly, I'm kinda happy there aren't a significant number of games that I'm dying to play right now, because I simply don't have the time to play them. If I have two or three games at my disposal to play, I'm quite content. Come MLB The Show 14, that might change.....just maybe though. I'm interested to read the impressions for those who use remote play.

I'm with ya. For the PS4 I purchased NBA 2k14 (for 20 bucks after a bunch of 3+ old game trade ins at best buy), and my rentals of Fifa and Madden are on their way from Gamefly (will arrive tomorrow or friday per usual from them). That's all I really need. Will wait to see how the Xbox One launch and Forza shakes out but the only other game I'd get for the PS4 right now is BF4 (since I haven't purchased it yet). I guess I should have kept my Xbox around, lol.

Heh. I expect a lot of "couch versus" on easier levels, so only 1 extra to start...

Fanatic, I was checking out the boxes for my games (sad...wish I had a system to play them on) and remote play is not listed as a feature on the NBA2K14 box.
edit: I'd be very interested in a Vita for remote play but it seems like you can only play remotely on the same network.

It's not tonight, is it? Did you mean tomorrow night or Friday...*scrambles to check release date*

Saw this post from pastapadre: Madden PS4 reviews embargoed until Friday. EA must be expecting mediocre scores on that to hold them until after the game/console release.
NBA Live 14 looks even worse off. Reviewers won't be getting the game until next week, which means reviews coming several days or a week plus following release of the game. Another absolutely horrific sign for that game.

I just went to Target and got their last copy (display) of 2K and picked up Madden and GTA(360)... was going to wait on a GTA price drop.. but this is good enough..

Any PS4 game can be played remotely on the Vita. IGN says it works rather well. Any game that uses the camera, etc. would be worthless for remote play due to controls.

Yeah, seems like there was some confusion about it. The dev cleared it up. Remote play is a go!
Stopped by BB to confirm they still had my pre-order in their system (I lost the receipt long ago, but they had a copy of my reciept thank goodness). To my amazement, they had a demo unit of the PS4 working. You could really only access the game demos and of course use the controller.
The subtle improvements to the controller are quite evident. I have large hands and found the controller to be quite comfortable. As already known, it's a bit bigger which I and many others preferred. Also, the L2 and R2 buttons are much much better. Maybe not on par with the 360 L2 and R2 buttons, but racing games and FPS should be enjoyable without worrying about your fingers slipping. It was hard to gauge the weight because of the security cable attached, but it's got a little more weight which is also nice.
I played only a few minutes of Fifa 14, because I really didn't want to ruin my first next gen experience with the game. Oooh well..... I suppose I did. In any case, three things jumped out at me. While not blown away by the visuals, they are noticeably more crisp and clean. Also, I really loved the camera angle which seemed lower than what I've played with in the past. It really showed off the player models. They appeared much larger, but there was also a variety to them in terms of stature. Lastly, and most excitedly, the responsiveness of the controller (buttons, etc) and players was instananeous. The players seemed much more agile and life like. Touch passing was excellent. I'm definitely looking forward to this title now.
I played just a couple minutes of Knack, and almost immediately thought this game could play on the PS3. Graphically, I didn't find anything really jaw dropping. It looked good, but I've seen better visuals on PS3 games. It seems like it could be fun, but it's not my type of game. I'm sure my kids will enjoy it though, so it'll be a rental at some point.
I didn't spend too much time with the console as I didn't want to ruin my overall experience. I'll have it soon enough (just after midnight tomorrow hopefully).
I have no idea what to think still, which is a testament to what a sh*tty marketing job these guys have both done this cycle. We're 3 days from release and I've seen nothing that sells me of one over the other at all.
All this hype for the PS4 launch is exciting. I still want to wait to try out XBO if MS ever lets us demo it. I am only playing FIFA on current gen and the demo for next gen was just so good it's tempting not to buy a PS4.
