Sudz, go to the league thread and you'll find instructions there on how to join. I think you can either find our club's page (Digital Sportspage) on the EA Sports Country Club website and petition for entry or enter the password (golf4ever) to join. Follow this link and see if it doesn't give you what you need:

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. This is really disappointing. I may sit this year out as well if changes aren't made.

The first thing I did after the DL was done was to create my mugshot. While the timing is much improved it still looks remotely close to the shot that I took a couple of years back from EA.

I cannot believe that there are only two camera angles in this game. If the real game is the same as the demo, J Cauthen is right in that in broadcast cam you have no idea where your ball is going. That is ridiculous.

How disappointing. I will be waiting for a deal to even think about purchasing.

Just played an 18 hole Live tournament and one of the new 5 hole shootout tournaments in Tournament difficulty. I holed a 120 yard shot for an eagle, but the Broadcast camera missed it in real time 8O :( I had to go back and watch it in replay to see it. There are rare moments where it looks and does what I'd like, and it looks great, but most of the time it feels like a train wreck, in terms of presentation. I like the shot making challenge and difficulty, but who cares when you can't see what you should be seeing in real time.... I'm just totally aghast about this!

I won't be dl'ing the ST as I didn't re-up this year. Based on impressions I'm in no hurry to buy either. :(

Amazing in follow cam how bad some of the putting cameras are. Half the time I need to listen to hear if I made it because the shot is so zoomed out.

I'm not sure what to think after 1 round.

I'm afraid it's so Mark! Have you tried it yet? I'd like to get your thoughts on this because I know I'm more anal about presentation perspectives than most folks, but honestly, this presentation makes the game feel broken to me!

Yes, some of the putting camera takeaways are head scratching, overall the follow cam, to me, is very similar to last year. I can live with it, but hopefully they can patch the putting views.

Is there going to be anyone left for the club? I understand last year most joined a week or so after release but there was a much more positive vibe too. If there are only 5 of us left we should probably just all join a bigger club. :(

On the course I am fine with the follow cam and so far I haven't experience any wonkiness with the swing that I did it the demo.

I still get in the bunker sometimes and the strike meter is gone which makes getting out very hard. Took me 9 holes to get use to it and then I shot even par on the back nine so I highly doubt the earlier comments about struggling to break par are accurate for you guys who are really good. I think as a whole scores will come down but I bet you see -20 or better scores on this difficulty before too long.

I only got 50k exp points when importing my guy and I want to spend more time with sp before making a call. I will say I do like the overlays and I like putting a lot more (minus the crappy cameras)

Where do you guys see the option to import XP from last year. I just re-created my dude and literally I am starting from scratch, didn't see that option in my haste.

The good with the bad…

I played a guy named SlickORick online- 9 holes pure sim settings. He used a girl pro and I used my CAG. He beat me by 2 strokes but I finished +6 for the 9 holes. Played last 9 of Torrey Pines I think.

Had one double and pretty sure no birdies. Tough! I may try a draw swing to see how that goes.

I can live with the follow cam angle but what's up with the slight stuttering as you watch the ball flight in the air?

In previous years if you were closed to making a birdie, the camera would zoom in closer so you could get a taste of that putt. Don't know why so far I am seeing a birds's view over the shoulder angle where you can hardly see the ball go in.

Got about 4 or 5 rounds in including 3 in the 4 round tourney JC set up. Here are my thoughts for what its worth,

Although my scores might not reflect it yet I think in the end I'm going to find it easier to score in this version than the past one. Yes they tricked out the swing plane which means you spray the ball more but most of my errors come from not knowing there was water on a hole, or clipping a tree (more on that in a minute) that anything else. It is easy as hell to hit out of the rough.

The short game is ridiculously easy or I'm the best SG player around. Doesn't matter if I am in a bunker or lying down in heavy rough I can put it to 10 feet or better 8 out of 10 times.

For me the putting game is much easier. I have no idea why but with grids off I can easily determine putts by pulling down and reading the info. I think I might have 3 putted once or twice when last year I would do it 3 or 4 times a round.

This game still can't execute a punch shot correctly and this has been the bane of my scoring woes. If you throw one offline and you see a way to punch out and you know you could hit a 4 iron and advance it down the fairway in real life, well don't expect that here because it just hits the leaves. Maybe I am doing something wrong but the ball gets way too much height on a punch shot.

Ball drops, still abysmal. Game dropped me in matted down rough when it could of legally backed up a foot and put me in the fairway. At least with rough meaning so little it didn't hurt me.

Annoyingly the game drop you to a 60 degree wedge when you are in the rough whether you need to use that club or not.

From what I can tell in the OCC tourney the stats banners are not where near right. Vader and I were playing the 1st round at the same time and I was 5 holes ahead of him on 15 and no one else had played yet but the stat banner showed the hole had given up 3 birdies etc. I saw a lot more examples of this and I also question how the stats for the Club are done. I think it combines your stats regardless of level played on.

Finally same round as above I waited on 18 to watch Vader come in, no shot tracers or anything he was just done with his round and I saw nothing.

Having said all that I am finding the game fun, the worst part about it is the putting cameras are horrific. What is so annoying is the good cameras are in their but they don't trigger enough. There is one angle from behind the golfer that is perfect and just like TV, I've seen it trigger once.

Well, 5 holes into my career, and the game froze. That's almost enough to make me not want to buy it right there.

Also one of the tutorial bubbles came up at one point and stayed onscreen until i moved to the next hole.

Maybe I'll try again later, but right now I think i'm going to play something I know won't die on me mid round......

Played the ER and I'm not that impressed. I canceled my pre order. There just isn't enough of a jump, IMO, to justify the upgrade. I have a number of other games I can get into. Maybe down the line I'll pick it up but for now I'm cool with canceling it.

Thanks. In my haste to create my Pro, I totally forgot that you could import the XP from last season. I had already created 2 dudes and played 3 career rounds until I read this thread. Once you created your Pro it's too late to get the XP's so I have to start fresh again.

Even though there are not enough camera angles to follow the ball flight properly behind your player and (broadcast cam is useless) the new ones that surround the putting green are rather redundant, there's enough fun to keep the pre-order. For me.

The way the ball physics lands into the green is the most natural experience in the TW series and some courses seem quite improved like Pinehurst. Enough to guarantee a $60 purchase, maybe not, most of the new stuff is cosmetic, there are moments that make you think WTF? but I no longer have 13 so it'll be my fix for now.

Haven't touched the tourney that JC set up yet as I spent most of the time trying to set up my golfer but simply put, if you haven't played TW for awhile, give it a try, but if you already own 13, I would wait for next year.

I suppose I should cancel my preorder. I couldn't make it it through 9 holes without getting bored. I'm not sure why that is this year. I guess I just got burnt out on it last year, even though I didn't play nearly as much as most of you guys did. Oh well, thankfully there is plenty of other stuff to play. Maybe I'll be more into it in a few months.

Can anyone tell yet how the season tournament CC works? Will we be able to have a custom made DSP season with the courses and settings of our choice that tracks the point totals and stats for us automatically as opposed to the pain staking process that it was last year?

Unfortunately, the OCC doesn't have a mechanism for doing this. They list a Country Club Tour, but that involves inter-club play somehow and it's not close to what we need for what we did season wise last year. The only thing we've got that automatically tracks players is the Status point and money winning systems, but they cover all play, not just that within the context of the manually set up "Season". The DSP Cup Tour will have to be run this year like it was last year.

What difficulty level were you playing? Just curious what your thoughts might be on Tournament or Simulation difficulty where advanced shot shaping is required. Any thoughts on the camera options?

I wish I wasn't such an old coot about the presentation, but that's me. It makes the game feel almost "broken" too much of the time. I do like the challenge and the difficulty the game provides, but if I can't see in real time what I should be seeing in real time, it just feels... I dunno... phony for lack of a better term. It doesn't help matters when I can go and fire up Tiger 10, and see a presentation package that wipes its fanny with Tiger 14's, and doing it with a swing interface that actually rewards rhythm and tracking. I can thank Tiger 14 for making me rediscover Tiger 10, if nothing else :)

My exact sentiments with the demo. ZZZZZZZZZZ ... and I played the hell out of TW13.
