I've been playing this again lately, it's a good game to keep around and pop in every once in a while because it takes about a dozen games before it becomes stale for me again. It's just to easy to run in this game and the lack of any sort of single player franchise kills long term play but it sure is pretty to watch in motion.

I agree.. I didn't buy Madden this year and this one is still fun to play. For $6, it's definitely a no brainer imho...

Here we go with a Super Bump from almost 4 years ago. For anyone that still has this game, these guys over at ratesports.net have created rosters for APF 2k8 and they are fantastic. Be sure to watch the two videos about transferring rosters and what the limitations are, but I've been messing around with a few teams tonight and the rosters are damn accurate, even with the 2013 rookies. It's still amazing how good the game plays and looks, especially the animations and the interaction with the ball and the sideline players. Amazing that Madden still hasn't come close to the animation package 2k did back in the day.

I may have to check this out. Over at GWJ, we played through 5 or 6 seasons of this game. We even held drafts so that each of our teams had their own set of legends.

And you are right that the animation package has yet to be duplicated by anyone. It was just a ridiculously fun game thatI actually learned to really appreciate the strategic nuance of building a team around 11 legends. But a full NFL roster would be pretty awesome.

Problem is on 2K you will only get 11 NFL players per team, the rest are generic. Also, he made all teams equal with 2 Gold, 3 Silver and 6 Bronze. I loved 2K5 and 2K8, but I am happy playing Madden now.

Is there a way to update all teams with the 2K13 teams for exhibition play or season play? or can I only import the team that I want to play with and not against?

From what I did last night you have to download the roster file for the team you want to play AS. Then you can play a season as that team against the other teams w their rosters too. So for example I downloaded the dolphins roster file and still played an exhibition against the bears and their roster. Watch those videos I linked to. Explains it all.

And I didn't notice it being only 11 a side. The dolphins have at least 15 offensive players from what I could tell.
