I've got every course available. It's fair to say that I've spent nothing shy of a small mint on this game. I'm sure I'll get more of my money's worth compared to other games I've purchased and spent an hour or two with and was done.

+10 on the new daily...my best round yet.

92% FIR, 67% GIR.....3 birds, 7 pars, 5 bogeys and 3 others.

Another 40 putt performance.

Im getting a fast swing with the driver a lot.

What becomes of the "money" we win in the daily tourneys????

I don't think I can get 4 rounds at pebble in by tomorrow but I'm gearing up for Augusta next week.

Yeah, that's available as a group purchase option for DLC. I rented the regular version before the CE, and that option was there for me when I was looking at the course packs available from in-game.

+8 (i think?) on the daily.

Let's just say hitting Draws isn't easy........ OOB on the second hole, and then hit another one into the water later in the round. Kinda forgot that the 15 mph head wind mightttttt slow my ball down before finding dry land off the tee.

Then I got hot, and hit around 3 or 4 birdies in a row. Then, I did NOT get hot, and hit some doubles. I think i took a triple on one hole too. All over the place.

Kinda like my real golf game....

Starting to get a better feel with my tempo, improved in every round at the weekly Pebble Beach tournament and then had my best round yet with a +3 at the Celtic Manor daily.

I haven't bought any of the dlc courses yet but will end up getting them all eventually.

Never, never play video games when you're jet lagged. Wanted to finish the weekly tourney by tomorrow so I decided to play at least a round. On hole #16 I think, my ball was caught in the deep rough and right in front of a tree. I wasted 3-4 shots on that particular scenario before I knew there was no way I could just flop it over the tree. Finally, I played it sideways to the fairway and played the ball from there as any golfer would do in real life. Struggled in the first round to say the least with
a +12 but I still love this game. :)

In fact I will buy the DLC when I am more awake. 8)

Been looking at some of the club stats. Wilk has played 661 holes this week. If my math is right, that's over 36 rounds of 18. That's...

... A lot of golf!!! :)

Yeah, I've played a lot this week. Basically if I wasn't working, running, having daughter at soccer or dance or at the park I was getting my Tiger on :-)

Who needs sleep anyway?

Bah....the crazy hazard bug (sand, water) cost me a stroke on hole 14 in the daily. I hit my drive that landed about 5 feet past the big pond and it put me all the way back on the other side close to the tee box. Got bogey. I don't see how that gets through testing. Finished -5.

Just noticed on the club pro and club champion invitationals coming up that the difficulty is set to PRO? With spin and all that stuff enabled. Is that right?

Just finished the weekly and I'm frustrated beyond belief. Without the green grid....BOGEY BOGEY BOGEY BOGEY BOGEY BOGEY BOGEY BOGEY BOGEY. I realize we are going with it from now on but that tournament was fingernails on a chalkboard. Those of you who shot under par f*** off. ;)

For me, my frustration was with the inconsistencies of my caddie on the putting department. If a tourney is set without the grids, fine. We are all on the same playing field. But at Pebbles last night, I did have to ask my caddie where the ball was breaking on some holes and while it was accurate at times, it was equally frustrating that the suggestions were way off in some other greens. Regardless, my problem was gathering the correct speed with the slick green conditions.

And you're right Diablo, Truth and Ortho are probably fom another planet.n

We can use caddies? I thought they were turned off

for every tourney (or round of weekly tourney) I've used my CAG with no caddie, meters, pins, or other aid of any type. For what it's worth, I'm all in favor if keep the grids on and having the ability to use a caddie / recommended putting circle & meter turned off. That's my vote anyway, but won't be discouraged or even the slightest bit upset if something else is determined to be used as the "normal setting".

Something that has worked well for me in building up my CAG quickly (didn't know you could import EXP from '12) is playing the daily tourney's at all levels. When playing the Amateur and Pro daily's I equip accuracy, putting and XP pins. The scores are ridiculous for sure, but you get a lot of XP this way and can more quickly build up your CAG. It's not the way I most enjoy playing the game, but I will take this over the normal grind of getting my golfer up to snuff. Once I'm happy with my attributes I'll be bowing out of all the silliness and playing only Tour Pro and Tournament level tournaments online.

Yeah, I think if you press Y the option is there. But again, I wouldn't rely on the caddie too much as it was more of a miss than hit for me when it comes to putting help.

Reminder for those that already have at least a round at the weekly, it ends today.

I'm pretty sure the caddy option has only been on for the weekly at Pebble, with it being off for the dailies.

I actually think that the caddy on/putting grid off is a nice change of pace from the grid always being on. Like 10s said, the caddy's placement is not always reliable. Between the caddy's recommendation and scoping out the green myself, though, I don't find that combo to be much tougher than grids on/caddy off.

I'm not doing anything special to power-up this year, other than activating the XP pin when I play my normal career offline (tourney difficulties) I was dead-set against the grind this year, and in fact was even going to use pros in all tourneys here. Once I played a couple of career rounds, though, and saw that I could elevate out of godawful status quickly enough, I switched to CAG for all tourneys and will keep it that way.

I do suggest that maybe once in a while we throw up a 'even settings' tourney, though, where we all use the same pro for a certain daily or something. It'd be on the honor system, but it would be cool to see how things shake out with everyone at the same attributes.

Today I added Doral, Atlanta and Spyglass. Might add Banff as well. No desire for the fantasy courses. San Antonio and Liberty were two I didn't care for last year. Wish Bay Hill was an option as well as Poppy Hills (not sure I spelled it right) but its out there with Spyglass and Pebble.

Could someone at least congratulate me on that hole in one in yesterdays daily!!! Im getting a complex here. Still can't beat plus 19. The putting is killing me. Avg like 40 putts/round.

Been gone for 4 days in Peoria for Padres Spring Training and it looks like this game is a winner. I'll be picking it up today and would like to be placed on the DSP CC waiting list. :)

I'm totally confused.

I bought the version with the Masters on the cover which gave me Augusta practice etc. I didn't have 20 courses I needed to buy the DLC pack.
The CE edition comes with 20 unlocked courses, five or six more than the standard edition. But both the standard and CE games still feature courses that either must be "rented" with coins for one-time play or purchased for unlimited play. I think you bought the 11-pack of "rental" courses available on the CE.

Money well spent. The replay value of this game is off the charts.

Yes, after buying the DLC last year and not using it much at all, I swore I was going to stay off the DLC for this year, and just get the CE.

Butttt, seeing how much fun i'm having with the game, I'm sure i will eventually break down and get the 11 pack, esp with my 20% discount for season pass.

When it comes to golf (or hockey, or beer, or cars, or women, or gadgets) I have no willpower.

I noticed we need to get some head to head matches in for the CC objectives. Anyone want to play? CAG or same/diff pro doesn't matter to me.
