Danimal, I've got a couple of DSP types (MERACE55 and OrthoStud23) who have submitted their membership requests to join the forum last week, but have yet to receive their confirmation e-mail to begin posting here. They are solid, sports gamers who favor tournament difficulty in Tiger. They've read this thread and like the buzz. Once they get their confirmations, I'm sure they'll weigh in here with their interest.

With Wilk5280's expression of interest, that adds three more to the list of interested parties already on record. Tim's hands-on report pumps up the anticipation for the OCC a bit more, eh Wilk!

Thanks for the impressions Divot. I am glad that true aim is back, how realistic was your swing when facing the kinect? Did you try guiding the ball at times, such as drawing it, etc?

Only had time for 5-6 shots. However, I did duck hook one shot into the trees on Augusta #2 off the tee. I heard that the best Dev score on Tournament mode with Kinect is +8 so far.....

What was his real handicap ? Just curious to how close it was in game.

Dont mind doing the actual swing with Kinect but all the other stuff like grabbing with your hands and stuff even the voice crap just doesnt appeal to me.
I am coming around on the swing portion though.

Are we going to somehow seperate the controller and kinect crowd? I just can't get into the stand up while you play golf- much rather use a controller.

Yeah, I didn't word that quite right... I realize that you don't have mod priviledges, I was just wanting to let you know of the brewing degree of interest in this. I haven't seen a posting by Scoop recently, so I'm wondering if he has his ears on for new member requests, provided it's in his juristiction.

It sounds like it can be set up as early as Tuesday. What I'm really curious to see is how much of the OCC functionality they'll have available in the demo? If we can set up a club, I don't see why we couldn't at least go to the club's lobby and see what's there. I'd be surprised if we could set up matches at that stage because if history repeats itself, we'll probably have four holes in the demo.

There would have to be Kinect specific competitions to accommodate this. I imagine there will be some here who will be using the Kinect, yet will also be playing with the wireless controller. I could be one of those who adopts the Kinect myself; I just don't think I would be playing Kinect exclusively. Users of each controller type can contribute to the club's status, for what that's worth.

As for separating the control type crowds, the game's menus will take care of that. I think we'll see Kinect and Wireless controller game types being set up in the "Head to Head" menu, for example. The game won't let a wireless controller go up against a Kinect, from all I've read. What I don't know is if a club can have a weekly live tournament for wireless controllers and another weeklylive tournament for Kinect, running concurrently. I think we'll know the answer to that Tuesday though.

All of the members of the Dev Team are avid Golfers. I don't know who had the best round, but the point is that the Kinect seems to have a great deal of challenge in Tournament mode.

I read on the official Tiger Woods Golf forum that the OCC creation tools should be available on the same day that the demo is released (Tuesday March 6th). The OCC website is scheduled to go live on the 6th. Its URL is http://www.easports.com/countryclubs. There aren't any more details than that, but it sounds like they're trying to give gamers the opportunity to get the groundwork done before the game releases. I doubt any of the club's competitive functions will be operable in the demo, but who knows? I see this as more of an "open house" type thing for now.

I will be playing both-Kinect and controller. As it's probable that the controller will be easier, I agree that there should be separate tourneys for kinect and controller.

According to pastpadre EA is having some big conference on Tuesday to showcase their sports lineup at least that is what I thought I read.

I have a gut feeling that we are going to be salivating to get our hands of the final version of this game once we experience what I think will feel like sensory bliss with this new swing interface, not to mention vastly improved ball physics, expanded cameras, and of course... the DSP CC - we must protect this house!
